By the way, my basement flooded today - with all my equipment in it...luckily I have everything 7" off the floor including power supplies so nothing was damaged. It kinda sucked to work 10 hours all day and then come home to have to wet/dry vac the carpet for 3 hours. What a day....

oh and...sorry about the DP

CUBE: try working on a song that is not a fave. Then work back into your fave, then try an original. It sometimes works with burnout. Hope it helps. Thanks again for your comments on cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn that is the direct link to "Above The Numbers" Morning Light. album 2 coming. Stay safe Joe and Family! KTF

Man....... THAT FRIGGN' SUCKS!!!

If I ever get famous I am going on national television and anouncing to the world that I will sue the rocks off of anyone who prints false information in any way, shape or form.

I didn't think that was true.

Does anyone know if Joe has a son? The reason why was today at work (METREON, San Francisco) I saw this guy wearing a green striped beanie buying a movie ticket. I swear he looked like Joe, but without glasses. Joe, were you ate Metreon today Thursday June 12, 2003 at around 7:30PM??

I've gotten both my guitars back and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Gary Brawers' guys did a fantastic job. My Fender hybrid sounds so smooth and vintage. They both have low action and: NO BUZZING!!!!!!

Night to everyone!!

Hello everyone!! I need some help here. Does any one know how or where I can get a copy of the song "Slick". The bonus track from Strange Beautiful. Any version of the song I can get my hands on would be awsome. I am about to go nuts. I don't know how many times I have listened to the clip they provide on the site. The song sounds like it's awsome. I'm about to buy the Japan version of Strange Beautiful Music to get the song "Eight Steps". I'm also finally getting my hands on a copy of "Additional Creations" so I can have the song "Turkey Man". I haven't heard anything about "Slick" being on a imported single or on any kind of cd.

OME I wasn't anticipating being part of the Vai project, i don't know whether i would make the grade for a start, i'm not being shitty about it, but there seems to be a more 'professional' standard required over there. Perhaps i'm reading it wrong but it doesn't have the relaxed vibe that was going on in here. i'm sure if you get short of numbers across on there people in here would love to participate.

TRUTINA Jennifer batten, that is straight up no bull, lifted from her website. I would assume that normally she would be looking for payment but if she knew it was for charity ? Thought it might have been worth a try, what do you think, great tag line for the cover - lmao

I just woke up guys, Yeah I'm still on that f***ed up sleeping schedule. I get up at about 3:oo every morning then go to bed around 6 or 7 at night. What can I say it's the only way I can practice for long hours and still watch my kids during the day. Anyways I am super relieved that all the BS from yesterday was untrue. Joe come on in here and holla at us some time man Peace.

McDave - I haven't heard anything about Satch playing with the Grateful Dead, but it may have happened. I suggest finding a Grateful Dead newsgroup or music-trading website and asking someone. I'm sure you'll be able to find the answer...and if it happened, you can probably find yourself a copy of it.

Let me know if you hear anything about it.

michelle - Happy 600! :-)
dexterzepp - It's okay...it's not your fault. You were only trying to help us out by sharing information.
Sharif - Flood? Fun...LOL. Well, it's good to hear that you didn't lose any of your gear.
Bahumit 12 - That might have been Joe. He does have a son, Z.Z., who I think is around 10-12 years old.
Xspeed6 - Slick isn't available anywhere. It was intended to be released as a bonus track somehow, but that never happened. Oh well.

...Austin...

Greg m - it's not uncommon for classically graded people to enjoy playing one kind of music and listening to something different for entertainment. Think of a pro footballer enjoying a round of golf in his spare time.. If anything it's very healthy because you can just switch off the muso in you and listen to music without disecting it. I do something similar.... I listen to Slipknot, Hed PE, Papa Roach, One Minute Silence etc etc for fun.. I never really analyse what's going on and very rarely play along with it....
It's ok to enjoy lots of different styles of music.. I've always been a mosher - since I was a kid... but in my CD collection you'll find a lot of classical, prog rock, funk, jazz, fussion, trance, soul, blues, house, rap... along with the metal..
taste is just taste. because it's not the same as yours it don't make it bad..

plum loco - capitalise on your emotional rollercoaster ride... make music with it...
guys - there's no point in getting all worked up about the rumour.... it just goes to show, don't believe everything you read....... not all 'sources' of information are reliable...
I decided not to believe it or comment until I'd seen some kind of 'official statement' in t2j - something in green or blue...
in this case it's just a stupid prank... brush it aside and crack on.. so what, Joe and Rubina are in reality all well and good as are the rest of us so there is no real issue....

Those of you that still have unvented rage and anger, do something useful with it...
aim it at France...

Death Cube When I hit a rut I sometimes set things down for about a week then come back and start doing some olestyle excercises for the fingers, and things seem to brighten up alot for me. OR Start recording some off-the-wall stuff and piece it all together, I kinda like that approach sometimes, lol

Jennifer Batten fedexing you a solo sounds pretty darn cool.

jelly man Have you just done P5 today? I do exexel, and the people who do further maths say it was really easy. I just did P2, and that was also really easy - much better than the killer P3 exam we had last week. YES, THIS IS COOL!

clarky It just annoys me that the people who everyone says, "aah, look at how musical they are" have no taste whatsoever, and can't seem to appreciate a good thing when they see it. I'd disagree that there's no such thing as bad taste. PEople who can listen to mindless cringeworthy shite all day and then say its great music can get pretty annoying.

AARGH, someone's taped over my video of "later with Jools Holland" I taped last week where they had Pat Metheny AND Radiohead on! Radiohead rocked this time, too. As did Pat. I'll never watch this again, oh no. I'd clearly labelled the tape as mine, too. Younger brothers are soooooooooo annoying.

Short, quite a few people have problems getting onto the live chat. Plus, lots of people are in america or the far east or somewhere in a different timezone to us.

greg m - yeah i just got home from P5 and a P2 retake - I'm on OCR board, not Edexcel, but I found the paper really easy too- I think that the P2 was actually harder, were it not for the fact that the content of P2 is so easy. I have no more maths exams.... EVER!
