WHeeyyyy! Finally I managed to figure out how to work it. Just wanted to say Joe Satriani "You're the Greatest!" Im performing next week some of your songs; Surfing with the Alien, Always with me Always with You, Starry Night & hopefully Echo if I can get the backing track sorted. Well wish us luck. Psycho

CUBE You mean you've finished bashing the new Metallica album? - really man, i'm disappointed, i thought you had more stamina than that - lol ;-)

HIRAM Most of the stuff on Clarky's IUMA is just a shred fest. I have him down as one of the best compositional players in here, wait for his album to come out or go back to his IUMA and check 'Talking to Stone', particularly the backing track. As for Pete sounding like Frank Gambale, sorry man i don't hear that at all, but like Matt says, as a technician he's a dynamite player with good songwriting abilities to.

Matt I think that you're probably falling victim to the impersonal message board syndrome, i doubt very much that he was trying to needle you, just trying to help and missed the mark a bit ? We all have our moments though, like Trutina said a week back, if you spend a lot of time in here or other net areas, at some point your 'life mood' is going to effect your posting. That's cool, Joe wants a stream of conciousness then it becomes life mirrored, don't know about you dude but there ain't no mr bluebird on my shoulder 24/7 -lol ;-)

r6rocker hahahahahahahahaha........ ok metallica suck ... everybody agree's with me no need to bury it any more!!!! Kirk Hammett said:"i did not play solo's because everybody knows i can!" so my guess is he has never heard a metallica tune..... perhaps thats why that stopped napster because kirk could have downloaded a tune and heard how bad he sucks.... all in all metallica have reached a new plateau of suckitude! i commend them on thier efforts to comtinue sucking !!!!!!!!!!

MATT KING! Dude!, don't let ol' Pete get you down. He's probably just going off on you instead of where he should be directing his negative emotions. Keep doing what makes you happy. LOVE the two little demo's from your new toy. Keep Rockin'!

MCDAVE: Iron Maiden still rules!! Saw them in 99 and 2000 and they put on a great show.

A month ago there was still a picture of me on Maiden's website. I just went to get the link and put it up here, but they have changed the website and the pics from that show are gone! :( It was a front-row pic. The only way to truly enjoy a rock concert is front row, man.

Later.

ken brown..thansk for the support man...very much. rocker...yah you're probably right. only reason I defnded myself is cause the past 5 demos i released pete had compeltely negative things to say about them...now i love criticism...but constructive critism is much more appreciated than "stop doing that" !! I never mean to start this huge heated debate...there are a million great players in the world...who can really bash who?!

uhh, wtf people .. ?

matt - why do you care what other people think? and what's wrong with "you can do better than that" anyway? it's his opinion, and he's entitled to it - i seriously look at it as constructive criticism. once in a while it helps to FORCE yourself to look at yourself from outside of yourself - and not be afraid of doing it or changing because of it. i remember jr mentioning to me that even joe had to fight his natural bluesman instinct to create his own sound so that he would stand out as both a guitar player and songwriter. you don't have to like what he says, but it can never hurt for you to consider it for what its worth either. there's absolutely no cause for defense here, because it wasn't an attack. as far as it being out in the open - well, you asked for opinion out in the open, didn't ya? ;-) i don't think pete has any cause for jealousy or malice - just his honest opinion in mind.

chill out, folks.

OVATION 1 - TONY MACALPINE is very good. I`m waiting for Steve Vai`s Live DVD with Tony. I bought last year a record of Planet X. It is a little strange but very interesting :). Regards.

Matt, my tuppence worth... if you ask in public for public feedback you gotta expect it! Both ways! I'm not gonna get involved.... people might start accusing me of sitting on a high horse again ROFL

I know it's not cool to dis a non-English speaker for writing English, but "I'm waiting you turkey" really tickled me!!!!!!!!

Chill everyone.... private conversations should perhaps be reassigned to email...? We're all fiends after all, right?

Still giggling about the turkey thing... later, Dave

Saludos y gracias. Oye, vives en Texas? o en México?

Hey, by any chance, would any of you know where I could find a strat online that has a reversed wammy bar? (In is up, Out is down, minimal distance from the strings to the fret-board)? If anyone knows where I can order one online, please feel free to post the url. Also, I was wondering what kind of pick-ups joe uses in his chrome-boy?

Thanks
