greg m - I guess that is both good news and bad news. I was REALLY looking forward to Steve Vai's "story" album. It is such a cool idea. He said that guest musicians will be on it, which probably means that this will be the record where Joe and Steve FINALLY do some stuff together (not including G3). I do appreciate his honesty in telling us that he's delaying it because he doesn't want to make compromises...I'd rather hear it as the original idea instead of some short things thrown together for no reason. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Lord of Karma the 2120 is an awesome piece of equipment. Don't fool yourself though, play it through an amp and not a PA...it sounds 100 times better!

Ok it's time for bed! Have a goodnight all!

Hi /\//\TY!!....Hope all is well :-)....Busy as a bee here....Keep them great artistic pic's coming!!!!

Clarky: lol bro, you got one on AVARICE!!!!....In that theme, let's play some Judas Priest's!!....lol....I have a 3 day weekend coming up btw, and minyo shall be in my hand's next time we speak!!....

death cube K:....CAB??....I'm lost bro, lol, I've only actually discovered his music recently....I know, I feel ashamed after knowing of that name for all these years....lol......And great question on Impelliterri's delay usage....And he need's a haircut!!!!!!....His hair is lost in the 80's!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahhahahahahahaha ;-)

elpp: Glad to hear all is well....I have easy access to our roof on the second story, and LMAO @ throwing stuff at the neighbors!! HAHA!!....

gregm: Happy six pack!!!!....What kind would you like?? ;-).... And btw, on that VAI message....Does that mean his left hand is not visible throughout most of the video!?!?!?....That WOULD SUCK :-(

FuSiOn5000:....First off, I think I'm the only one who writes your name correctly, hehe....Secondly: How do you suppose an artist becomes successful and encompases that with longevity??....By continually evolving as an artist!!..Paul play's what he want's to play and has also released an Acoustic Album....If you heard it you would think corny....But, you will be singing along to it....I Guarantee it!!....And he also includes the usual Instrumental on there, and a great rendition of Genesis' "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway"!!!!....Thirdly: Richie Kotzen is an amazing musician....He can do it all and has more soul than you could shake a stick at, AND satisfies his heavy rock friends w/ some HARD ROCK!!!!....He still rips it up, and is an amazing singer also....You need to expand your musical ears and really "listen" and "appreciate" real music....

RickyGarcia: dude....I can't load it!!....I'll have to retry again later....I'm sure you brought the house down!!

AVARICE: Thank's for that link!!....And ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!

Later all, /\/\ike

Edit:....Shit....Spelling mistakes!!....I hate it when that happens!!

fusion5000 Is passed away new? I'm sure I downloaded that about 2 or 3 days ago, so have you changed it since then?

more Vai news As Ovation said, on the Vai DVD, Steve says that there won't be much footage of his left hand, because they didn't film much. So for those amongst you who like that sort of thing, just pray that what you get is good stuff. For people like me who want to watch a show.....................

Ovation Guinness, please.

Alexandre & SuperDave!! if you didn't already find Miguel's post here are 2 real good sites for Joe's Backing Tracks... Either Midi or Mp3!!!

http://www.ylor11.freeserve.co.uk/

click on the left hand side bar where it says SATCH...

http://guitarplanet.free.fr/

just scroll down... right click on the little speaker sillouettes and save target as... you know the drill. :)

And I'm still having problems with the upload of my take on Clouds Race Across The Sky... IUMA must be having problems... I re-encoded it, but it still shows the file as being 0 MB on my IUMA... strange...

R6R - to lose the plot, you have to know where it is in the first place... it is at this first hirdle that I fail..

greg - yes... amongst other things I am the son of Satan...

it's not such a bad job... the pay's crap but the hours reasonable and the perks... oh such perks... makes it all worth while..

Ovation - I started recording The Rape of the Sabine Women in anger this week...

I true minimalist Clarky style there are 15 different instruments [and the drum kit is counted as a single instrument...]

I sounds.. well err... kind of... big

JS: Well his approach was when you made a mistake during the lesson, the lesson was over unless it was an improvisational part. There were chordal studies and scales, learning a melody, improvising, going back to the melody. There was singing along with recordings and memorizing every note and the inflections of a solo from anyone. It could have been Charlie Parker or Tony Iommi, he didn't really care. But he would say things like, “I need a harmonic minor scale harmonized in fourths, in every key, everywhere on the neck.” The fingering was up to me. It was overwhelming. It would take six to eight hours a day to figure out how to play it. The first couple of lessons were over in less than fifteen seconds because I'd get freaked out. He would tell me that to be a great musician you can't get freaked out. He would say, “Don't play it if you don't know it.” At the end of two months, I began to understand his outlook on the music and what it really meant to be a musician. It was very inspiring and I realized that you never stopped working on Lenny's lessons. It's a life quest. Every night on stage, something he said comes to mind.

Narface - Yes! Cars dude, nice ones. Nissan is not so popular around here in the performance scene. It's all crappy 4 banger civics which are not fast and look like crap. Haha, i'm actually helping a buddy fix up his.

I love the picture of the Porsche 944 drifting the corner. Looks like a Volkswagen just behind it? Looks like a Cabrio?

...and the tail lights look better over there. In North America, kids buy "Euro" lights which look like crap to me. Clear light housing. Looks so bloody cheap to me.

My favourite car is the VW Corrado SLC (2.9L VR6) I'm sure you know the car, it is big in Asia. Stock, the car was doing 0-60mph in under 6.1 seconds. The hottest looking car I have ever seen. Or maybe I should say the hottest looking Sport Coupe ever.

Fusion - Ok ok you just admitted to liking Racer X solos and neo classical metal. I'm not going to continue this anymore.
