OCP - Yeah Audioslave is quite good. I don't think I care much for Chris Cornell's vocals at all though. He doesn't really open his mouth.
I don't know if Morello's solos are supposed to be so monstrous as they are very fitting and interesting. Who knows though.

Finally listened to the St Anger Tribute. Very funny.

Who was it? Sharif? If not...too bad. I lost any respect I had for Metallica when that Napster thing happened.
"Sprinkles - good! Napster - bad!"
Might go home and have breakfast (& lunch). Back later maybe!

Matt damn...did they break into your car? what kind of guitar did you lose? I lost 3 electrics way back in 95 when someone broke into my house. It really sucked...that was ALL my guitars at the time too...

Well I've had this rg 1550 for a couple of days and I really like it. However these V8 and V7 and S1 pickups have to go. You guys have any recommendations for some new pu's? I'm really looking for versatility. I would like to get some of the same tones as Cool#9 or Flying in a Blue Dream. Some Hendrix sounds like on Little Wing, Castles made of Sand, etc or like that sound Eric Johnson gets out of that Gibson on G3. Is there any combination of pickups able to cover most of this, or come close? Thanks

greg m: I say just get a new pair of phones that comes with a long lead. My Sony DJ headphones are excellent. Good sound, long leads, looks cool... can't get any better. Actually, it can! good price too!! And about my 'half-new-band', well, we're just gonna have fun and play fun songs by Green Day and other punk bands. When the band starts to bond really well, we'll go for more complicated stuff. We're just having fun before everyone runs off in different directions for college. Oh yeah, we also get to use a pro band room!! It's freakin' cool. All sound proof stuff on the walls so we can crank it all the way up. And the gear they have there is great. Can't wait to go back there!
crispin: A US amp to be used in UK? I think all you need is a transformer. Can't think of anything else... except for the shipping fees!
