On the Flying in a Blue Dream album there is a short song called Headless. I'm trying to figure out what Joe is doing to get all those sounds heard in the song. Particularly with the guitar with what sounds like feedback and another sound in background that seems like they are produced by voice somehow. I can't figure out what if anything really is being said or what is used produce the sound in that way. Nothing is mentioned about it in the transcription books. It's difficult to describe but easily heard in the song. Can anyone help me out here?

charliek, I believe the sound you mentioned is Joe playing the harmonica through a propper microphone, which is plugged to an amp, and talking and screaming through it.

Templar, the dogs b0ll0cks hey? if I ever venture into farm-country I'll check 'em out. hehe.

Your guitar sounds like it's going to be pretty sweet. The website was good, thanks for the link. Guitar looks damn nice.

Anybody ever heard of 'Blue' Guitars? Acoustics and electro-acoustics...........they're damn nice.
Chris, yeah, sweeping is harder than it seems. I can't do it for sh*t. Thanks dude, you reminded me of what it is I need to learn to do! Oh, I need to learn to drive as well. bummer.

crushingday62, Fingerprints is a great cd, but I'd have to make it my second choice out of the ones you listed. Go buy "How the west was won" by Zeppelin. It's killer :) It's going to cost more because it's a 3 disc set, so if it's to much, go for Fingerprints. Did that make any sense? Man, I'm tired...

I still beliving in my dream Joe Satriani, has you say in your music that you compose for the FLYING IN A BLUE DREAM album, the song number six " I BELIEVE", and I do believe that you will help me. Please if you just read my messages give me this dream of bieng at least 5 minutes with you and listen your advices. I am a simple person who only dreams that some day his guitar hero will somehow read his messages and give him the opurtunity of his life. To dream his not a crime so I will dream everyday waiting for a message that I believe some day will come, if not I will have nothing to fight for in my life because nothing makes me feel so good, only my guitar. Please if someone of your stuff or people who know´s you read this, please help me and give me this chance and say to Joe Satriani just to listen and give me some words in a message. Message from Bruno or Bruniani (the nickname)
