Wow, too many posts since I was here last.

Simon: -Cool exersizes. Chopin was great. Ever check out Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings. It kills me. If you like the Phrygian mode, you'll like that piece. If your new git is a Les Paul scale, it'll feel like butter. It's kinda' strange at first.

DCK: Hope your nephew pulls through. That's terrible. Cubicle is pretty far out man. Best playing from you yet, that I've heard anyway.

Matt: Cool tunes man, keep it up. Hope you get your Seagull back. That sucks.

PhryDom: I hope things turn round for you soon. If you have the time, drop me a line once in a while. Let me know how you're doing. (just click on my nickname, my addy's there).

Later...

-Kell

Yeah!! Randy's an excellent player... ever heard of the tune "Looking Out For Number One"??

Randy is actually heavily influenced by the Jazz greats and some of blues greats as well... If Randy suddenly quit the Guess Who, he would probably do something along those lines for sure...

Plum Loco - Looking Out for #1... oh ya ;)... I have a Best of B.T.O. cd that has that track. Blue Collar has also got some jazz in it too. He's a really good musician, and still can do the rock star thing. I mean, if you take a drum stick and use it to tap a fret and a microphone stand to strum you can put on a good show!

Yes!! What a great day! Didn't have to work today, I got 2 cds in the mail (Andy Timmons and Steve Vai's PAW) and my Guitar Secrets Book came too! How awesome is that?? I also thought of a new tapping technique that's fun... someone else has probably thought of it before, but hey... new to me, so that counts right?

How are you Joe Satriani? You must be proud because you got a lot of people who are fans of you and admire you and they write in this site : Joe Satriani´s site. I Write messages to you and I make my self think that you read them but it´s more probably that you don´t have time to this because someone with your gift, talent, a family and time for his guitar is someone very ocupied and with lot of things to do in this area of music, because everybody in the planete knows you and want an interview with you. The thing that I want most is to have lessons from you and learn with the master. I dream with that and I believe in my dream, so I hope that some day I will can say that you make my dream come true. Help me and give a chance.

2 TON TESSIE - A great Led Zeppelin site is http://www.led-zeppelin.org/. They have the most accurate tabs that I have ever seen.

daijazz - Joe's DS1 settings are 9 o'clock, 5 o'clock, and 2 o'clock.
Bahumit 12 - Now that I think about it, yeah, VR can open for the Aero / Kiss show. I forgot that Sacramento has the Levi's Jeans side stage set up.
ovation1 - It sounds like the Essential Vai thing is his record company's idea. I think it's a great idea...it'd be cool to turn new fans onto Vai, and I think it's great that he's letting fans pick the songs on it.
rc9 - Have you heard Stu Hamm's Moonlight Sonata? It's awesome.
awe - Have fun in Cape Cod. There are a few other females on this site, but they're all outnumbered by the guys. ;-)

...Austin...

OME, cool site Bro'. I laughed when you mentioned playing through an old stereo because that's what I had to do before I could afford my first amp. Which was (I think), called a Marlboro. It was just a little 25 watt, and when I was able to get a distortion box, an MXR or something like that, I blew the speaker out of that within a week...lol....thanks for bringing back some memories.

MR NICK, now I've heard tons of ethnic jokes in my life, but I've never heard one regarding Irish folk as being stupid. If you would'nt mind telling me your ethnic backround, I might be able to retaliate...lol....By the way, I did laugh...no offence taken dude ;)

Theory geeks, I have a question....my teacher has asked me to constuct chords, but I think he messed up in the example he gave me. In his example of a Cmin7 chord (with a flatted 3rd and 5th), he marked the flats on the E note and the B note. Should'nt the flatted 5th be the G? I'm majorly confused, either that or I'm totally ignorant, or stupid...since I'm Irish ;)

Late breaking news !!! Jeff Beck will be performing on the Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno tonight at 11:30pm with BB King. We don't want to miss that do we? Fun fun.....

Hi all!

Dave- Nice to hear you again!... or...is it... nice to see something you wrote again...err... :p

everyone on satchland- Well, tomorrow I'll go away from my computer for 15 days, so I wish all of you great holidays (thnx for spelling, michelle), or vacations or whatever you call it, or, if that's not the case, then you should know that envy is a deadly sin, so that's something you shouln't feel! Anyway I'll finally have a deserved rest! :p Bye! See you on the 15th of August! :p

T2J CD- I think this subject is a bit dead... let's all make some noise! I can't wait for the CD to be ready! Let's hope it all goes well! Pay what you have to pay, tell Mick to talk to Trutina and all that! Let's do this!

I've just translated the radio interview with me and Alexandre, but I sent him first for his approval, and then he'll send trutina or Dave or both.

Well, see you all soon!

Miguel Pais

P.S. - And please don't post too much!! Lol! :p
