the issue with the brian moore is very very simple...being an endorsing artist will definitly bring you some sort of publicitiy...i tried my hardest to ajust to this guitar...i really truly do like it a great deal. but, after not playing the js for a few serious months...i picked it up for the ultimate test...

i never connected with a guitar so much in my entire life. i was wrapped up in the world of "endorsing artist" and internet feedback. a guy that i really look up to gave some of the best advice i will ever get. just cause some of us get instant great feedback over the net, does not mean that anythign is happening...all the shit that matter, happens out side the doors...and off computers. having to get out there and do my thing, but in other ways...i can't be myself, unless im completely comfortable with my musical tools...while i truly do appreciate the brian moore i1f...as it was an excellent change from the js and did force me to play some what differently, a little more aggressively...it just was not the guitar i could really relate myself to...some of you know what i mean...

Matt - Ah, a perfectionist like me :). A good quality and yet a horrible quality at the same time. Sometimes something raw and imperfect is the most beautiful moment, and if you capture that... ;)

Joe still is the best guitarist out there for me. I don't believe I have actually heard any Yngwie, but I've heard Eric Johnson and Vai, and I just can't get into it. I actually have two Vai albums, two things I picked up spur of the moment just to hear what he's like (Passion and Warfare and the Fire Garden). I've really tried, but Joe's stuff tells a story, or strikes something in my heart and mind. (Oh great I'm starting to sound like a mushy chick! :P). Sort of like Nobuo Uematsu does. I still think Joe is the reincarnated conglomerate of Beethoveen, Bach, and some other guys from a long time ago whose names I can't spell ;). Yep, just Bach with a wicked pair of sunglasses on.

Anyhow....Off to Ozzfest tomorrow morning at Darien Lake, Section 201 (wee!). Meeting up with some Metclubbers there, gonna meet Newstead and hopefully Wylde....Good times!

...and to answer another question i get from time to time "why do you prefer the original edge over the lo pro?" ...i set js's up with two springs only...the lo pro edge will not support this two spring set up with a proper trem angle...also..the original edge responds alot more as well as has a lot more pull to i...

Yngwie over Petrucci? Whats happening with this world? Knowing the bad temper and nasty "star" behaivor Yngwie have its easy to predict a G3 full of crap all the way....the "EGO" fight.....Yngwie its a RECYCLER!!! I hardly can say wich song its one from another from him......same solos over and over.......uuugghh!! Im gonna miss Petrucci there.....and i really think the best new "G" Satch could ever invite was ANDY TIMMONS or PAUL GILBERT. They both fit the stage because the similarities on the music they play with Satch and Vai,......anyway, this was a G3 too much people was b1tching about so.....great 4 you guys.....lets hope the viking dont over-react and leave Satch and Vai on the half of the road because anything hapend.....

Anyway....(i need cheese for my whine...) ....im gonna ask again, IS THERE ANYONE THAT COULD POSSIBLY HELP ME WITH A MIDI OF THE ENGINE OF CREATION SONG, OR EVEN BETTER, A BACKING TRACK????? Please answer me!!!

It is Yngwie not Boo.....................but Yngwie and Boo are just the same word - they are both insults.

It is Moo not Boo.......................because Yngwie is the size of a cow.

It is Stu not Boo...........................the fans would prefer to have Stu Hamm and his band as the third G, rather than Yngwie.

Ben / Plum Loco Thanks for noticing and reinstating me on the 'the list' ;-)

Crushing Day £50 for a good set up is about the going rate, so your man sounds fair.

Mowlie Dude where's the damage if you 'lose' one song ? I know you qualified it but i don't think that calling somebody's honesty and ethics into question is cool, especially at this stage in the game. I loved your track man and I'd really like to see it on there but you'll have to do what is right for you.

PhryDom No not away man, just busier else where ;-)

Matt King Yeah I know what you mean man. My bro has a Ibanez 770fm and I've got a Jem - I know that they are different but they are similar and neither of us can 'play' the other one's guitar, it just feels 'wrong'. I agree with you as well man, the cyberspace feedback and 'advertising' is all well good but the real world is *still* out there - nobody would be very impressed if the G3 tour consisted of a webcast!

Relax fellas, this isn't that big of a deal. Actually, I'm surprised this didn't come up sooner.

Mowlie2000: If I were to all contributors an email with a guarantee of complete refund if the project, for any reason, fell through and also a guarantee that all contributors retain full rights and ownership of their songs would that work? Also, just so you know, I'm Bil and I watch Monty Python. Adam didn't watch Monty Python and thus was helpless in defending himself against fresh fruit lol

PhryDom: Thanks for the update on T2J. Do you think you could post a link here to the contributor paypal option? I seem to have lost it somehow. And regarding your cd, the "extras" were damn cool. Thanks man.

alexandre caetano: You hit the nail on the head! According to Jon, Mick is on vacation and Joe is in the Sierras.

JS Clone: That's cool on the GTI. Have you found one yet? 8 valve or 16?

Ovation: Thanks man, I'm working on it.

Hej dragonchild: Thanks for the lesson, Like 2 years ago I went to Sweden, specifically to Strängnäs, I just fell in love with your Country, people treat you very nice, nice food, cloudberries, hot looking women, great Moose. I had an awesome time.

Who choose the third G3-member anyway? Joe? Steve? Promoters? Financials? Bush??? I personally thought they would pick someone more soft, they did surprise me.
Thanks to Dragonchild for Swedish lesson. But as a fellow Swede, let me add something. While pronouncing Yngwie you have to press your upper lip upwards over the "wie"-part, kind of like a horse. So you go from fish to horse and then you have to try sounding like being in total despise of just anything.

Trutina & all other T2J CD Contributers - I understand what everyone said regarding my comments and I am glad that Bil understood it in the way that was intended (love the Monty Python bit, by the way lol) but I havent received any correspondance regarding the CD other than what is talked about in here and on the T2J website. I am honered to be able to contribute to such a CD alongside all of you guys. I have no problems with making my contributers payment once everything is in place and I have signed a document to declare that my track still remains my posession and that I have some sort of (written) guarantee, signed by those producing the disk, that it is going ahead. Personally, I think that everyone should have done this as im sure we have all heard of internet scams and maybe ended up losing money in the long run.

The reason for me doing this is that I have had a song stolen from me by a well-known band (which WILL remain nameless) and it happened to do VERY well in the british charts.

PLEASE DON'T BE OFFENDED AS I REALLY DON'T WANT TO OFFEND ANYONE - BELIEVE ME.

If anyone wants to discuss this further please dont hesitate to email me at aarren.mowle@dsl.pipex.com

Regards,

Aarren

Matt - Totally here what you're saying... if you can't connect with a guitar, then why bother? I'm hooked on Ibanez's now....so I think I will have a hell of a hard time trying to change that, which I won't. And I'd like to have that tab of Time Machine... that song rocks. I'll try to talk to you on MSN sometime soon.

Invigor - Yeah, I saw that awhile ago... it definetly is sweet.

Do The Stu - haha, you're wealth of knowledge puts to rest yet another rumor.... much appreciated...

Trutina - So Joe's on vacation? That's cool, it's totally understandable and much deserved for the guy... Plus it's probably ZZ's summer vacation from school, so I would think they would do something as a family.

Narface - Good luck with university bro...

mowlie,
copyright your song...
as for being afraid of losing money, don't forget that this is all a charity, and we're essentially losing money automatically. once you have recorded your song, put it on some sort of permanent/semi-permanent media and seal it, and have it dated by a government process (mail it to yourself)

if an issue ever arises, you have proof yourself that you made that song before the party in question did (ooo legal term! heehee) and you've also got, what, a couple hundred witnesses here?

i imagine i speak for the T2J community when i say that we understand your concerns to the extent that none of us would want this to happen, but i also imagine i speak for the T2J community when i say that you don't REALLY have anything to worry about if you follow the same steps that the majority of us have taken.
