NSPike: Just read your post and wanted to respond. I'm no expert, but I can say that getting better on the guitar comes with time, lots of it. Progress comes from sticking with it.Falling into a rut happens to everyone. Find something new to inspire you, a new cd, a live show, etc. Be patient, you'll brake through

webmaster tell the promoters to bring the tour to europe or i WILL burn their houses down. if steve on his own cud do multiple dates at the astoria then there is no doubt of attendance in the uk. if you look on here bout 30% of the ppl here are from uk. so please come to europe. i know you cant do anything about it but im just reasuring you that you will sell out any dates in uk. yngwie played here in april and sold it out on his own so you should definatly come to uk.

Dave: for a second there I thought you said you'd "lost cahones"...
Alright so there's the deal...read Webmaster's post and you'll see that a world tour depends on a huge US tour, so all you poop-heads having a cry about Yngwie being on G3 can turn up anyway and make this tour massive. Then, and only then can the tour proceed to Europe, where again it will have to be freaking huge...resulting in an Asia/Pacific tour including MY BACKYARD...come on everyone...I hold you all responsible...

NSPIKE: it's not how many scales you know but how you apply them. For example, Joe usually is playing regular diatonic major scales when he solo's, however, he uses specific modes to match the chords and add different colors. For example: If you have a static Aminor vamp, there are three modes that can be played overthat. A dorian, A phrygian, and A aolean. if we trace those back to their respective keys, that means just by knowing the shape of a Major scale, you can play a Gmajor/Fmajor/Cmajor scale (each starting from the a in those scales) over just that one chord. If you add pentatonics and chromatic ideas to the basic major scale you get more....Essentially almost all western based scales are essentially a diatonic major scale with a few things added or changed. The best thing you can do is to Start by being able to know the complete neck shape of a major scale up and down the complete neck in any key. Once you get that, you will start to see that going to another scale such as going from Aminor (really just C scale) to Aharmonic minor involves moving the G to a G#...just one little change from regular A minor scale. If you want i can email you the neck chart i give my students

Joe Satriani
Via E-mail
Dear Mr. Satriani:
My son, Boone, is an Ibanez guitar player, a fan of yours, and he’s about to receive an Eagle Scout award. As if that were not enough—he wants to attend Berklee next fall.
Will you be kind enough to send Boone a letter of greeting, along with any other items you wished to be presented to him during a recognition ceremony to be held Sunday, October 26, 2003, at 7:00pm at Cottonwood Church.
Please address your letter and recognitions to Eagle Scout Allen, in my care at 5105 Willow Creek Pl NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
All of the recognitions and letters will be compiled, placed in a binder or other suitable keepsake, and after they are read, will be displayed during this special occasion for Boone.
Thank you very much for taking time to help us recognize this special time in a young guitarist’s life.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jack Allen

Bluesy1, i think it was the tapped sound which was not clear. But if i just tapped the notes on the fretboard, the sound is clear. And when i play one chord and try to tap some notes, the sound goeswrong.

Okay, I'm officially bored. One of my favourite TV shows got axed and I didn't know...I'm staying up to watch "Micallef Tonight" and The Bachelor 3 is on instead...eh? 2 days later my friend tells me it got axed, due to poor ratings. Well I'm not surprised considering the crap timeslot and the boring interviews they made him do. (In between the funny stuff...)
Time to go home...have a good weekend all. I'll probably be working away the whole time...so in that case never mind the "good weekend" bit, I'll be here anyway.
BEN
almost couldn't be bothered turning nevermind into never mind...only just made it
