Those top 100 Guitarist Lists I never even look at because what they should really be called is...
THE 100 MOST POPULAR GUITARISTS OF 2003!
I think that most of us here on this board probably don't listen to what's POPULAR at the time with the majority of people - we listen based on our own musical tastes - not just what the 'in' thing is.

Except that most of the people reading that mag probably won't ever listen to Hendrix, they'll just say he's the best because that's what all the other people (most of whom don't listen to him either) say.

I am very happy that you are going to use your bass and drums player from SBM on your new recording. It is very rare to get an album (old guy term for CD) where every song is top notch and SBM is only one of a handful of records (another old guy term) I own that is 100% great with no filler. Using live musicians is 10,000% better than the best computer generated tracks technology can produce, IMHO.

JOE,
SORRY THE ROLLING STONE'S GUITAR POLL LEFT YOU OUT!! I POSTED MESSAGE AS SIMPLEMANTX1 ON"RS".
I GUESS THEY WANTED TO CREATE A SHOCKWAVE WITH THE LISTING OF GUITARISTS SOMEONE (MAYBE A DOOR GREETER FROM KMART) CAME UP WITH!
ALL I KNOW IS I HAD TO PUT MY DISMAY ON LINE AND POST IT AS THE LIST GROWS!
I GUESS I HAVE TO GIVE THEM MINIMAL CREDIT, AT LEAST THEY HAD HENDRIX IN FIRST PLACE!!
WOULD LOVE TO SEE GUITARISTS NOW LIVING ON A SET OF CD'S PUT TOGETHER FOR ONE TO BUY, LISTEN TO, MAKE UP THEIR OWN LIST OF WHO IS GOOD AND CREATE A LIVING POLL SOMEWHAT FAIRLY. EACH GUITARIST COULD PLAY 3 SONGS. THE MONEY MADE FROM SALES COULD GO TOWARDS THE GUITARIST'S CHARITIES.
COULD SOMETHING LIKE THIS BE DONE IN THIS AGE JOE?

pete...i heard of that version, in fact i had a version similar to that from kazaa...it was called time, original track 88...it had this wierd intro, but the intro was only like 10 seconds long, the rest of the tune was the same, so im thinking it wasnt the full 88 recording...

Has Joe stated what kind of album he is working on for Spring 2004?? Sure would be nice if he would consider writing another rock album like the Extremist or Crystal Planet....

Greg M - Spot on about Hendrix! If whoever voted on that really did like Hendrix, you can bet your life the list would have been much better than it was.

Narface, ummmmm, I think it's around a 0.1, as far as capacitors are concerned. pretty small, but you've got to experiment until it goes away.
Make sure the earth wire is properly connected to the bridge too.
I hear that Jenniffer Batten for G3 2004!

gudge1: The Ibanez beginner kits are the best in the buisness, the guitar intonates very well, and is easy to play. The amp while small stays clean when clean and has a decent dist sound...much better than Fender's Squire "strat packs" which are total crap.

Narface: It sounds like you may have a bad ground. Check the baseplate of your trem block...manytimes ground wires are soldered to the trem block as a ground, so it may have come loose.

OCPS470: Yes, I'm going to check out the wiring as soon as I get the tools! I don't even have a screwdriver with me. I left them all at home. Looks like it'll be quite some time before I can do anything about my guitar.
962: Thanks for the info. I've also been doing a bit of research on the web to see what can help me out here.

Hi I've been away a couple of days due to being the victim of an unprovoked assault, but I'm ok-ish, so I'm back and ready to talk. I think, I'm not sure really, but anyway, I have no idea what anyone's going on about, so I'm gonna start a new convo. What do you people all think is the best amp i can buy for £150-£200.
