Greg M - Do The Stu posted THE link. Too funny.
Joke of the day:
How many guitarists does it take to cover Led Zeppelin?
Apparently all of them.
(I love that joke.)

phrydom So what happened to your computer programming, then? Were you freelance and no one wanted to hire you or something? BTW I remember lots and lots of random stuff, even if it took me several months to memorize my own mobile number!
I'm downloading that audio clip of Yngwie as we speak. Is it real?
EDIT Wow, the viking in action! UNLEASH THE FOCKING FURY! I'm going to make a tape of this for all my friends!
ANTOHER EDIT I'm inside, wearing a jumper, the heating isn't on and its a bit cold. Its also september, OH NO, SUMMER'S GONE! How come this summer seemed so darn short?

Austin, it'll be 14 months (on Sept.6th) without a smoke, which also happens to be my little girls 7th B-day. I'll be very thankful if my lungs recover from the 17 years I smoked a pack a day.

hmm, the controls on my GIO are good, but the 'pickups' sound like cr*p. otherwise it's not too bad.
Narface, thank you kindly for your response, very interesting. as it happens I did change the action, only I raised it, a quarter of a turn on each post, so....hardly at all. besides, the problem came before I did that. I'm positive the neck is ok - last time I checked it out it was arrow-straight like when I got it.
the difference in the way the strings sound is fairly subtle, but none-the-less, it's there. it just sounds slightly rattly, like it would if you failed to tighten the locknut further than finger-tight, for example. I'll most likely take it my local shop for a check-up, when I get the chance.
Thanks though, for your info - I will carefully bare it in mind, and I'll go and check that neck again!
Kevin, hehe, I dunno - I can't help but think Stevie's Jem's are all set up and maintained to PERFECTION. which is funny - yu know if you leave a guitar for a few months without playing it, the strings start to go rusty and it's barely playable - I wonder what he does, considering he has...what.....170+ guitars?

chris just click on my name mate.... and it's name comes from the difference between the lydian mode and the major scale ;-)
greg pretty much, yeah. I had my own company but the clients weren't exactly beating a path to my door.... I ended up making myself redundant :-O a very weird experience I can tell ya! Got a couple of great ideas for projects/products, but need a "bed" of paid time to finish developing them.... but sitting here hoping and wishing doesn't work, so I've decided to get off my fat arse and do something about my life rather than waiting for it to happen. Wish me luck.... chocks awayyyyyyyyyy!

Aldworth - I think the MTV Unplugged version of I Believe is on The Satch Tapes.
greg m - I like your reaction..."Is it real?", and then "EDIT - Wow, the viking in action!"...haha.
If you're bummed about it being cold, come over to my dorm here in Long Beach. It's a million degrees over here...no a/c.

crushing day Yeah, maybe we would like to hear it on the album, but this is something for Joe virgins, remember. They wouldn't be too impressed if they found something crappy on there, would they? (although surely you could find a mint js ep out there, and tape it on high quality equipment, and it wouldn't be too bad? No, I suppose if you're buying a best of album, you want it to be good quality in every way.
Wow, I just listened to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, which I haven't done in a while. That is such a powerful album, and with songs like wish you were here on it, I listen to that and think "all you shredders and all you pop stars and flashy showoffs and glam rockers etc etc can go fuck yourselves, you'll not be as heartfelt in any of your songs as they are in this one. " It is truly a masterpiece.
People of the day: Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright..........................and Syd Barrett.
Songs of the day: Shine on you crazy Diamond part 1, Welcome to the Machine, Have a cigar, Wish you were here, Shine on you crazy Diamond part 2.
Talking of Pink Floyd, I'm feeling in a rather Dark Side of the Moon mood at the moment - those who have listened to this album will know what I mean, us and them, its not what we would choose to do, one day closer to death, hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way, all that kind of dark, gloomy stuff. Why am I so depressed, anyway, its still the holidays, for crying out loud! There are a lot of people around who are in worse situations than me. Oh well, I'll end up feeling alright in the morning.
phrydom Have fun with the re launch!

greg m, "Wish You Were Here" is my favorite Floyd album. I picked up most (if not all) of my Gilmour influences off that album.
Narface, I totally agree...
