Okay now I have that Toto song "Rosanna" in my head. One of few radio songs from the eighties that has musical talent in it.

Nick: funny you should say that...notice that since "the man" has reappeared, "the other man" has posted once, only to say "I thought that guy was dead"...but notice Hiram Abif disappeared at the same time! Clarky=Avarice=wolf2=Hiram Abif=Joe=Twig=Yngwie.

Wolfie's fave song is still listed as BIGBABOON. I just clicked his name to check and see if the stuff carried over from the old board, and it did!

I listened to Steve Vai's Flex-Able and Flex-Able Leftovers tonight. I'm still listening to F-AL right now, actually...it hasn't finished yet. This music is very weird, but there's a ton of cool stuff buried in it at the same time. And MAN, are the Flex-Able leftovers very vulgar. Haha...

UF Dean - It looks like you just missed the satriani.com presale for the WPB show. Be sure to get on Ticketmaster right at 10:00 AM on Friday (the regular on-sale date) so you can get a good shot at tickets. Good luck!

Ethn Hayabusa - When were Satch Boogie and Ice 9 used as openers? I guess that would be before my time as a Satriani fan. I'll go with Ice 9, if it was on a tour with STU in the band. If not, I'll go with Time.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback and votes for "The Extremist" !!! I fully agree that it's his most solid all the way through..all killer no filler!!. I love the big fat production on the drums. Very produced, but still very acoustic sounding. Of course Joe's playing and songwriting are just awsome as usual. Oddly enough, over the last couple years, "Engines of Creation" has become an almost close second. I think that album is pure creative genius. Man, I love talkin Satch' with you guys!!

Austin-Time Machine's live disc, and Dreaming #11.Also all older footage I have seen of Joe, he often starts with Satch Boogie.I have heard he opened the Crystal Planet tours with Up in the Sky, but I never saw it myself.

I would love for him to open with Time Machin. That one, I think would work well, it just strikes me as the type of song that would set everything up really well.Id like him to end with Echo, conversely.( I think I spelled that right)

Also, pick one, not 2. :D

Stu is on both of the versions you chose :D

War of the set Openers eh?? "Time" was awsome, but I'm going to vote for "Flying In a Blue Dream" something about it just sets things off on the right foot. It's such a classic Satch song. Hey Joe how about playing "Cryin" somewhere in the set??? Hey at least I can listen to the "Time Machine" version and pretend :)

UF Dean - Oh well. Just watch the road page here at satriani.com and look for the presale date. If the presale requires a password, it'll be posted on the page. All you have to do is go to ticketmaster.com on the presale date, enter the password (if there is one), and buy tickets like you normally would from the Ticketmaster website. Presales are only open for a certain amount of time, so you have to keep your eyes open and get in there right away.

Fretslayer - It's cool that you really like EOC now. It's kinda funny...every few months there's another person on here that says something like "I really love EOC now."... You're kinda new here, so you haven't seen a lot of it...but it's neat to watch it happen to everyone.
Ethn Hayabusa - Okay, thanks for the info. I thought the Time Machine live disc was a compilation of different shows, and I don't think it's fair to assume that the Dreaming #11 songs are from the start of that show. Oh well though...it doesn't really matter.

I'll go with Ice 9.

hamdo: Turning 21 is the last birthday that counts. After that, the only other good one is 65. Maybe 100 after that.

PhryDom: On the eve of a grand, congrats to you.

Quick math: 1 + My chops = -1. I guess I'm not qualified to answer lol

Stu Clone: I'd love to hear Stu playing the Peanuts theme! He has before hasn't he? Know of any boots of that nature by any chance?

Jon Kon: You're damn right it does! Welcome to the T2J Community.

Ovation: Yeah man, Carlin rules and a lot of times he's right. Like this one: "By and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth." or "People get all upset about torture, but when you get down to it, it's really a pretty good way of finding out something a person doesn't want you to know."

Artanis I: Man that song was good, I had forgotten all about it. Killer solo on that one if memory serves.

Ethn: Dammit dude! That's just impossible. I thought you were gonna ease into this a little bit and then you go and bust out with a battle like that. I'll have to get back with you on that one.

Austin Yeah I was listening to leftovers last night and had forgotten about all the stuff in News at 11. I can't imagine why he didn't put that one on the first disc lol

Austin-Yeeeeeeah, I know, but its close enough, right? If I had just said Flying in a blue Dream vs Time, it wouldnt have been as intense.lol.As if it were intense now.

Death Cube K: Hi cool one teaching guitar I do that too, frustrating and rewarding too...mostly kids unfortunately, I'd rather adults and I only have two of them...doing well though..Do you crave someone to have a jam with who actually knows what they're doing? :-D

GregM: Hi Greg thanks for replying well are pinch harmonics the really high ones near the bridge or the normal ones in the middle of the picking area? The ones in the picking area over the middle pickup (on a strat anyway) I'm getting used to...And under two months before I'm getting my new guitar in the big apple!! yippee!!

Also ANYONE: Does anyone know what happened to that guy's cousin who got shot and was in a coma? I'm sorry I can't remember who it was who posted it...I've been away a while...hope everything is ok there...

I just played Z.Z.'s song about 12 minutes ago. I played many microns or milienia ago without a book and now have had one for a month... I know I could play almost anything I could feel my left hand and now my right. I switched. and strengthened in less than half the time or may be I tried too hard doing it backwards? Now if only I could get more books. I'm a very quick Zenn learner. If I have the notes and sound I can play the tune! How many books does it take to get to the center of ones strength and play almost anything in Joe's Tune? Or for that matter anyone elses?

trutina - Stu's third solo album, The Urge, contains one of his bass solos from a Satch gig. Linus And Lucy is included there. Also, you can go over to http://www.stuarthamm.net/ and download the bass solo from a 11/12/98 bootleg. This solo contains Linus And Lucy, Looney Tunes, and a few other cool things.

Stu Clone - Sorry to steal a response from you...hehe.

Hi Joe, Wow I can’t believe it – this is great news about the up coming G3 tour and from what I remember from last year this year is going better then last year by far – last year I sew G3 at the Beacon Theatre and I’m flying down from Anchorage Alaska again to see you at the Beacon this year and this time I’m bringing a few more friends with me this year!

Before I run - I have to say I took my mother to see G3 (her very first rock show ever) and from I remember she had a blast rocking and rolling – she really looking forward to seeing the G3 tour again this year!

Thanks for great times and I'll see you at the show! Eddie
