PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PLAY SOME SHOWS IN TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are tons of people here that are dying to hear G3. I would be sorely disappointed if G3 cut Texas out of the tour schedule.

Love,

Neal

stu clone A segway is a sort of two wheeled scooter (like the front two wheels on a car, not like on a bike) which you stand on, and it uses gyroscopes to stay balanced. See one here Oh, and do you like Stu's Fender or Yamaha basses better?

Your so good Joe you should come to Queensland, Australia and do a concert for lots of your guitar fans that love your music. If for the G3 tour you can't convince the rest of The G3 boys to come down under then make it just you. You gotta eventually do a tour in Australia, think about it would be great mate Seyah

Can anyone give me some information on the new album by Joe that is supposed to be coming out? Is it going to be all new material or is it going to be just a greatest hits thing with just a few new ones? I want a gold JS 2000 for Christmas if anyone wants to get if for me!

CRUSHINGDAY62:

To make a website, the only software you NEED is some kind of text editor. Notepad will work fine. In that case, you'd be writing all the code by hand, which for a geek like me is something usually enjoyable. An easier route to take would be to use some kind of page creation software, like Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Those, however, cost money. If you want to keep it simple and aren't averse to typing gobbledygook, I'd go the text editor rout. You should be able to find ample online resources just by doing a Google search for "HTML tutotials" or something along those line, or you could go to a library and check out some books.

Good luck!

Narface, what a terrible way to spend a rainy day..lol...I hope you survive...heh heh....I have a triple birthday party to go to today....my daughter's, who just turned 7, my son's, who will be 9 next thursday, and their cousin. I'd take a rainy day with my guitar over a day with 30 of my ex-wife's family members...lol....I keep telling myself "do it for your kids, do it for your kids" :P I may have to have a couple of beers to dull my sensory perception, or at least to be able to ignore them all...lol

Hi Joe I'm a real big fan from Germany. I'm 14 years old and I hope you take some time to read my letter. I read on your homepage that there will be a G3 tour soon. It's so sad that you will only play in the US. Do you think of doing a World Tour the next time ? Last time I was in NYC I bought a Joe Satriani Guitar ( the JS2000) and it's a real wonderful instrument. At the moment I look forward to buy the same equipement you have to get the real sound of you : ) Wish you a great time with the G3 tour. Is there a chance to get an signature from you ? Excuse my terrible English ; )

greg m,
from that response, it almost sounds like you missed my punchline! :(

but yes, i am familiar with segues and segways.

ovation, i checked him out and was rather disappointed by his website. i also found that interview and just kept scanning through to see if i could get an audio clip or something. i checked cdnow.com since they usually have track previews, but no luck.

back to greg,
stu's yamaha basses???
Stu started out playing Fender jazz basses, and eventually ended up with Kubicki Basses
after a number of years on that, he added a P pickup to his white Kubicki, and a vision was born:
He went back to Fenders and eventually the Urge model was born. Then ya got the Urge 2 a little less than 10 years later.

I haven't gotten to try a Kubicki Ex-Factor... just a regular old Kubicki. It felt the way I expected it to really. It's not really my kinda thing, but it's certainly a cool bass.
Once I get the money, I'd love to have an Ex-Factor just lying around so I could have those electronics and that D extension.
I've never gotten to try and Urge I. I'd like to have one, but again, only if I've got money such that it wouldn't matter if I dropped another $700 on an Urge I. The electronics are almost the same as the Kubicki, but they don't have that cool D extension on the fingerboard. Good pickups and a more traditional feel, also 24 frets. Makes an excellent piccolo bass (32" scale)

The Urge II bass is super cool. I'm trying to get Stu to hand down one of his Urge IIs when he's done with it ;)

Stu's style is a bit different then mine, so the bass doesn't actually feel as good to me as it does to him, which is really the reason I didn't get an Urge II when I got my new bass --> with this new six string bass though comes the realization that every now and then, you just gotta have a four string to do certain things on.
