Ovation - lol man... maybe his guitars are like a family? "The Furries" on the G3 stage! They're like his children... you know, with names like:
- Lord Furyington
- Samuel McFury
- Furrious George
- Linda Furriéta etc.... lol....
Fusion - Hehe, I swear on my amazing vibrato! lol, good to see you understand!
Do the Stu- lol man, that's a cool link... It will always be referred to as pop to me...

greg m - While I was reading your post, I said to myself: "Yeah, but bass horns are round...they're not pointy!"...and then I go on to see you say that very thing...LOL.
I like the JS over the JEM no matter what...the body is just too cool.
crushingday62 - You should buy Pocket Full Of Kryptonite by the Spin Doctors. LOL...sorry, but that's the first disc that popped into my head. ;-)

NARFACE- i dunno but the 3000gt is a slick looking monster, i think it's 4WD if i'm not mistaken, not sure why though...
on another note the UK magazine "classic rock" says on their site "Guitarist EDWARD VAN HALEN and his drummer brother ALEX are close to finishing a new album. It has been reported that they have parted company with VAN HALEN bassist MICHAEL ANTHONY with the material being recorded as a vocal-less duo..."
sounds like good news, an instrumental album, which could mean G3 in a number of years...but of course we have heard the old "close to finishing..." like 40 times so far.

tapper5 - In a time signature, the top number tells you how many beats are in a measure and the bottom number tells you what kind of note (quarter note, eighth note, etc.) equals one beat. So a 4/4 time signature would mean that 4 beats are in a measure, and one quarter note equals one beat. In a 6/8 time signature, there are 6 beats in a measure, and one eighth note equals one beat.
It's easiest to determine the beat by listening to the drummer. Listen to the bass drum, snare drum, and high hat, and try to find a pattern that repeats. The number of beats in the pattern will give you the time signature. A few examples:
Flying In A Blue Dream: 4/4 Once the drums come in, count along with the "bass, snare, bass, snare" pattern. Count a measure by going "one and two and three and four and" over and over... Counting the bass drum would be: ONE and two and THREE and four and... Counting the snare drum would be: one and TWO and three and FOUR and... The high hat plays on every beat, so counting it would be: ONE AND TWO AND THREE AND FOUR AND... This same basic pattern repeats (with a few variations) throughout the entire song.
Always With Me, Always With You: 6/8 Count a measure here by going one and two and three and four and five and six and... The shaker that starts at the beginning of this song is heard on every beat, so it's: ONE AND TWO AND THREE AND FOUR AND FIVE AND SIX AND... The "clap" in the background is heard on the fourth beat: one and two and three and FOUR and five and six and...
Does this make sense? Let me know if you have any questions and I'll give you a few more examples...or maybe someone else will chime in...
...Austin...

Clarky: Kuul man, going over it with a fine tooth comb is polishing it off, lol.... Reading how you overlooked the clean guitar part w/ the piano and how really big it all sounds reminded me of a VAI article I read on transcribing Zappa orchestration.. He describes slowing it down, hearing a specific instrument and then transcribing.. A lot of things going on at the same time and trying to pick it apart, lol....
JS Clone 1: lol, thank's for the correction...."Pearly" being the correct name....
962: lol man, a Chrome JEM would be killer!!....I dont see why they dont like the pointy horns, lol, the JS looks great, but is somewhat similar to the Strat design....
zonin: Thank's for that info on the JIMI release....Happy Birthday JIMI :-)....
crushingday62: 80's "Soft Rock"??....Ahhhh, ok, try some Boston, lol....
mick87: lol man, I like Yngwie' Furious George the best!!....hehe....
Ya Yo Gakk & JS Clone 1: Yeah, but the GTO is a dinosaur weight wise!!....It just looks good, way to heavy!!....JS Clone 1 is correct though, AWD gives you SPEED!!!!....Think about it....All 4 wheels turning instead of just 2 giving the torque!!....Take the Skyline GTR, for example, lol....
tapper5: I'll wait for Do The Stu to answer that one....lol, he's answered it a couple of times already and has a good example ;-).... One and two and three and four, lol....
EDIT:
I see Do The Stu has done just that, lol....jeeez, he's quick, I knew he would love to answer that one, ;-)
