Janice - An educated older fellow once told me that in his opinion college wasn't so much about career choice and what you actually learn in college related to that choice as it is about the people you meet and the relationships you develop.

Well, my Andy Timmons products I ordered came in today. They did not disappoint as expected. The guy is a monster! The Spoken and the Unspoken is such an awesome cd! And his bootleg DVD has some cool stuff in it... not the best quality but you really get to see him play; he's got awesome stage presence!

mick87: I'm a big fan of Andy Timmons too. I have the "Spoken/Unspoken" cd, and it's got some great stuff. I really dig his first all instrumental release "Ear X-tacy" What do you think of that album??

hi every body
i play guitar, and i like very much satriani's style, so i decided to play it on a festival. The festival is in october 18, and i'm trying to get a very close sound to his set up. I only have a korg ax1500g and a boss supershifter, so i'm looking for a patch for my multiefect pedal that could sound like satriani does
thanx!

Fretslayer - I don't have Ear-X-Tacy 1 or 2... but, I do have That Was Then, This is Now, which has got a lot of the tracks from the first Ear-X-Tacy. I love the tunes that I have heard off that album... Cry For You rocks and That Was Then, This is Now is awesome too. What tunes do you dig off that album?

I was watching the G3 dvd with you, Mr.Vai, and Mr.Johnson
and on the song Cool #9 I was wondering how you do that technique where you put your right hand on the fretboard, and use your left to dance up the neck. By the way, I nicknamed this technique the "itsy bitsy spider" technique.

RC9- it's joe's super fret dancer move, if you slow the DVD down frame by frame you can actually see a little smoke rise off the fretboard... in the aftermath of this discovery it has led some to name the move "the grassy knoll technique", whether or not it can be learned is a subject of heated debate!

JBlaze for guitar guard !!
In my opinion, you would have to BE Joe to sound like Joe. I was jamming with my friends the other night, and we went into a fast blues shuffle. I'll tell you what, I have'nt had that much fun playing guitar in a long time. It finally occured to me that the blues is where I belong, and that as much as I would love to play like Joe, I don't think I would be totally happy doing that. I've given up on trying to emulate him and I'm just going to enjoy myself. I can't play like the man, but he sure inspires me to keep playing.........Peace, D@ve

Wolf - Dead niggers? Oh, right on.
Stefstreur - Manhattan is amazing isn't it? It should be on kazaa if you are familiar.
AarrenMowle - Blowout, really a rockin riff. Loved the way the bass and drums comes in and supports throughout. Let me know when you add to that one.

Not sure if someone already posted about this or not, but the new Guitar World Magazine(I think it's Guitar World) has a nice sized article with Satch, Vai, and Malmsteen in it. Of course talking about the G3 tour. The poster in the middle of the mag is of all three as well, pretty darn cool eh??
