Hey Joe,

I really enjoyed the G3 article in Guitar World. It was GREAT to see you and Vai and Malmsteen together! Im so excited about the upcoming G3 concert....Cant wait till you come to Pensacola!!! And like Mr. Malmsteen said in the interview its gonna "BLOW PEOPLE'S MINDS !"

I also have a question if you dont mind,

At the photo shoot for the G3 story both Vai and Malmsteen had "their" guitars. The ones that we ALWAYS see them with. But you had a solid white Ibanez, not your trademark chrome guitar. And this is not the first time I have seen you with this guitar, in the poster of the July 92 issue of Guitar World , you had the same white guitar. Well my question is do just use the white guitar for photo shoots? And if so why dont you use the your chrome Ibanez?

ok thanks for your time.... and for ALL the great music.

Your Loyal Fan, Micah

Hey dme0102 I believe in "I believe." I like that song a lot. I love the free flight guitar work in the middle. I think that song is a very heartfelt one....¿Habla español?

I am abviously the most experienced guitarist. I've been playing for 2003 years. lol!

What are you guysStuing? You must have been drinking some "Strange Stu."

Why do all great inventions always end up 'out of production'?? What are those guys thinking? I'm talking about the Ibanez Backstop (the tremsetter that's better than the Hipshot one) and the Key Intonation Tool (for adjusting intonation on floyd-type trems).

MATT: I liked the clip, had a lot of vibe and balls out feel. Now you just need to record a live version of "Killer murderous toasters from hell" or something like that haha!

STUCLONE: Send me an mp3 of the finished track if you get a chance, I'm curious about how the whole thing sounds.\

TOALL: my buddy Peter Taylor, the monster luthier, is going to start fabricating a trem system similar to the Ibanez ZR trems. his system is actually going to be a little better, because he's somehow able to pull of the system without a locking nut, so it should sound better, also, his system will be small enough to retrofit a stock strat....pretty cool huh!! If you're interested, you can always go to his site: www.chellee.com and email him

canchito: I love that song!! Seriously, there are parts in it that give me friggin' goosebumbs. The first two lead breaks are really powerful. Excellent Satch song.

Hello all......I picked up "Crystal Planet" at the music store yesterday for $12.99....I thought that was a good price !

OK, I'm finally going to buy my 1st Vai CD, I know I've asked before, but what should my 1st one be? "Passion and Warfare" or "Alien Love Secrets"? Or how about I just get both...lol.....Peace, D@ve

HELLOOOOOO!!!!

God, I missed this place!

I didn't have time to read all the pages of posts, so I read none...

How's everything going here in satchland?

Is the CD being produced yet? I can't wait to hear it!

Joe- I'm sorry, I haven't forget you, I've just been too busy lately... :(

Yeah, that's true... I have classes in the afternoon and now, after 7 years rowing as an athlete, I've been invited to work... as a COACH! :))))) I accepted it, of course, and now I'm an athlete on Mondays and Saturdays and a Coach on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays... :/ Well... Life isn't fun without some sacrifice once in a while... And after all I'm doing something I love and I'm being paid (not much) for it! :)

Well, and that's it for me. What about you guys?

CHEERS!

EDIT - Oh... and I had to give up my guitar lessons too... :(

matt king - Cool video...

dme0102 - Welcome to the site... I Believe is one of my favorite songs as well.
Stu Clone - The Rockline broadcast will be on October 1, from 8:30 to 10:00 PM Pacific Time. According to Rockline's website, 102.5 KZOK in Seattle will be broadcasting the show. You should call the station to find out what time they'll air it though...it's a syndicated program and sometimes stations save those shows and air them at odd hours of the night.
mick87 - LTE I and II are equally good. I can't really tell you to choose one over the other. I'd start with I and then get II eventually, just so you can hear them in chronological order.
SupaaDave - You've been here this whole time WITHOUT Crystal Planet? I can't believe that...LOL. Is there anyone else here who can surprise us by not having all of Joe's albums?

I'd go with Passion And Warfare for your first Steve Vai album. That's where I started out. Stu Hamm plays bass on the album...good stuff.

Each one of Steve's albums is different, so buy another one if you don't like your first one (whatever it ends up being). Don't give up on him right away.

migupais - Welcome back! :-)
achoo - List yourself as attending your show through the road section of this website and you might win backstage passes. Even if you don't win, you still might have a chance to meet Joe if you hang out by his bus after the gig.

...Austin...
