....Everyone: I just hit the Log Out option from the menu at the go icon and had to enter my info to get back in....This was by accident....Maybe this is the problem people are having when they say they cant save the last message etc., so Never click Log Out from the menu options....It will screw your whole day up!!.... ;-)

Edit: Hi Randell!!....Hope you and Steve are doing great, and keep the dream going!!....

People have been complaining about the ticket prices and sold out status of the show in Toronto so I posted this response on our local metal board to explain why the show was value at any cost:

Those of you compaining about the cost of this show have to keep things in perspective. First, you pretty much had the past 20 years of electric guitar on stage, what it was, is and will be. Second the venue offers the most fantastic acoustics for an event like this. Third, people pay twice these prices for say, The Eagles!!! Lastly, if calculated on a cost per note played basis, the concert was excellent value!!!

Hey Ethn bro!! I been reviewing your postings again. Afew years ago I had the pleasure of interviewing Zakk Wylde and came away with my ears and tape recorder smoking from the experience. I was amazed at the number of ways the F word could get inserted into a conversation; sometimes as many as three times in the same sentence ( as different parts of speech I might add). Then I interviewed Yngwie and had to crown a new champion. Ethn, I think you take the cake man, you can now tell your friends that you are better than YJM and Zakk W!! High praise indeed...

By the way, the F word in question is NOT FURY!!!!!

hello everybody!

mmm... a shame that g3 doesn't come to europe... (or so I've heard...) but anyway, I'll pick the dvd for sure - even if Yngwie decides to play football on stage during the hole set... :)

By the way, I went to the Evanescence concert last month... what a band... great voice and drums, and great songs! song of the day: going under...

And I've been looking to some REH videos again... videos of the week: Eric Johnson (great new techniques and very good improvising, very interesting... very good as well with the acoustic...) and Robben Ford (great explanation of the modes and right hand techniques)

Another thing to say is that Johnson and Ford are NORMAL SURNAMES! because Vai, Satriani, Malmsteem, Knopfler... where do all this names come from? I've just realized that you must have an interesting surname to play guitar well...

Hey Surferdave, another great one (REH Video), by a guy who has actually done loads of teaching is Carl Verheyen "Intervallic Rock" Check it out man!!!! Also Kee Marcello, a suprisingly good player, considering the band he was in, Europe ( during their totally commercial era). He did after all replace John Norum, not too shabby a player in his own right.

The Prez: Okay...the first thing I would do is get the stock Ibanez pickups out of that guitar. Don't however, put the Satch combo of (both Dimarzios) a PAFpro in the neck, and a FRED in the bridge....if you're looking for really smooth sustaining tone you want an Air Norton in the neck, and an Air ZOne in the bridge. Make sure to get them "F SPaced" and have a luthier instal them for you if you don't know how to wire guitars. That's the first idea. Secondly, I'm assuming the Korg Pandora is doing your distortion? There are many things you can do to make things better on the amp side, but I've found lately that a Robert Keeley modded DS1 (called the DS1 SEM) sounds great in front of a clean channel of both tube and solid state amps. You don't, however, have to go buy a monster stack for tone haha! Right now my rig is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe...and after changing the tubes and putting a V30 in as a speaker it sounds VERY expensive haha! Other than that, the smoothness is in how cleanly you can get the notes to come out, because a clean crisp;y articulated note will have more mechanical sustain, thus equating to smoothness.

3 other good reh videos are paul gilbert's videos. I beleive they are called intense rock 1, intense rock 2 and terrifying guitar trip.

jelly stew: i know exactly what you mean. Im glad there is someone else on this site who understood the film and wat it implies.

the prez: if your looking for some good pickups you cant go wrong with some fernandes sustainer pickups. It may cost a little bit to install but they are well worth it.

DCK: I just got the JJ tubes into my amp and man oh man they blow the GT tubes out of the water!! they single handedly brought the noise floor on my amp way down, while warming it way up and increasing the output of the amp. I don't know about other tubes, but the JJ6L6GC's are the best tubes I've heard...they make GT's sound harsh and crude in comparison.

I've started the beginning stages of having Peter build me a custom guitar...It's exciting because this guitar will include basic things that I liked in my S guitar, but it will give me much more tonal options, and be an even better built instrument....any ideas on a paint scheme? I was thinking of a tranparent red wine finish, but after seeing Joe's new red guitar, I'm thinking of going for a RED transparent finish.

Crispin, the problem with the Pablo videos is that the riffs are truly terrifying and Pauls articulation is immaculate!! The bastard never evr makes a mistake either, it is sickening to watch!!!!

Hi everyone can anyone tell me which would be cheaper (by UK prices), out of getting either a new bridge or a repair. Because I snapped the thread on my whammy bar and I kinda have a bit stuck in the hole, so the bridge is floating rather than flush with the body. I play a Squier Strat (yes i am a beginner). Whatver option is cheaper, it does reeeeeeeaaaaallly need to be cheap, so should I a) leave it as it is b) get it repaired c) get a new bridge

And I'd just like to thank all the people for the G3 reviews, even if they are making me insanely jealous. i wish I lived in America just for the tour.

Oh yeah and who are Rubina and Z.Z, are they Joe's kids or something.

red seems like a good colour for you.. what sort of wood is it gonna be made of?
