Johnny Aimless: I, too recently tried to join the Vai forum, but it says you'll get an email with your password in a day or 2, and I still haven't gotten it. I understand the concept of moderation, but they seem to take it a little beyond what's necessary. Maybe they've had huge problems before...who knows.
My girlfriend got me that mag with the 80's stars...haven't gotten to look at it much yet, but most of it's just tabs from what I see.
Sugarplum, I like all but a few on Engines.

Cube, I did think of relaying your message to Joe "DCK says HI", but of course it was while Joe was talking to other people. lol! Hell, I was so blown away I didn't even introduce my husband! lol! Hey, shit happens ;-) lmao!

Another thing about the show. The coolest thing happened... YM was throwing picks all over the place, and one hit the guy in the chest sitting in front of me and landed in his lap. Hell, nice delivery! I thought it was pretty cool so I patted the guy on the back and congratulated him. He turned around and handed me the pick. NO WAY! I was so grateful and thought "whoa, what a cool thing to do". I couldn't believe it. Later when I was up at the stage, YM bounced a pick off my chest and it landed right in front of me so I grabbed it. The guys standing around me were all grabbing furiously at the picks, but I got that one. The guy on my right was making a big deal out of me getting a pick and giving me the thumbs up, and I seen a guy behind me looking kind of upset when somebody told him he lost his chance at another pick. This dude had a pick on a chain around his neck, and he looked so sad, so I asked him if he got any picks yet. He said no, so I gave him the one I just got. He just stared at me and said "really?" I reached in my pocket and showed him that I already had one. He put his hand to his chest and thanked me, and the dude was just so in awe. He just kinda stood there not believing that he had a pick. lol! It was sooooo cool, and I was just returning an act of kindness. Some nice guy gave me a pick, so in turn, I gave a pick to some nice guy. It was great. That was also one of the best moments of the night. What comes around, goes around.

Numpty lol I would have never have thought Joe is even in his 40's. He looks more 30-ish to me. His music doesnt sound like it's coming from someone in his 40's either. Joe really keeps it fresh without changing. take Metallica for example: they tried to keep it fresh, but it's not even Metallica anymore. Joe is a living legend who's legend hasnt been diluted by stupid mistakes like how all the other legends, or potential future legends are making today. lol All hail Joe!

After 3 and a half years of guitar playing (I first played when I was 14), I can't understand why is it hard for me to master the light speed techniques.Because of this, I had a hard time trying to figure out the solo part in Oriental Melody,Starry Night, and few others(except for Sleep Walk). Secondly, thanks to your Strange Beautiful Music,I've improved a lot in my playing techniques (and it has made me as one of the envied guitar player in my class....heh..heh...heh..).

Why has Yngwie been so bad in concert, I've heard a lot of people dissing him, is he really that bad? Even Live? BTW, if anyone is consitering buying ST Anger don't, the album was horrible. A diehard Metallica fan told me, it's supposed to be a jam album, it's bad even for that.

Jelly Stew and The Prez: Glad to see that you guys "got" the movie too. Jelly Stew, you've got some great thoughts on the 2nd/3rd installments.

The Prez: Yngwie is an acquired taste. Some like it and some don't. I'm a big classical music fan, so I think that helps. Also, St. Anger is cool because they're playing heavy and fast again, but some direction would have been good. Plus, the DVD is mixed way better!

Ow, ow, ow, OWW!! Ears hurt!

Just got back from a concert at my school. My English teacher is also in a blues/rock band (think Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker doing tag-team mud wrestling against Zeppelin and the Who)... Well, he and another relatively local band put on a show as a fundraiser for the grad class. It was awesome! I was a little pissed with the rest of the audience, especially for the first band. They were such awesome musicians and they totally rocked! And everyone was sitting in their seats motionless, it made me angry!!

But when me teachers band came on, they freakin' cranked the volume.... BIG TIME! I think I have some major hearing loss. Oh well, it was fun ;)! He just got a new Gibson SG and he was pluggin' through some huge tube amp (sorry I forget the specifics), but he had some awesome tone... even though it was on of those 3 chord bands, lol.

Anyway, I'm tired... and I have to will my ears to stop ringing.

Later.... you too Joe. My brudda from anudda mudda! Enjoy your tour.

mikesb: Lastly, if calculated on a cost per note played basis, the concert was excellent value!!!....hehe good one man, and on Gilberto vids being sickening to watch....lol, he has the uncanny ability to pull off a lick first time, every time!! He makes ya love the guitar and hate yourself, lol ;-)

michelle: lol on your review, hehe, thank's for those other details too.... ;-)....Thank's also for making your review a play by play, it really helped me visualize what was happening....I feel like I've been there, lol!! Thank's, and glad you guy's had a great time, and to spend it with kuul T2J folks....It dont get any better than that!!....It just goes to show what a tremendously great and humble guy JOE is....Walking up and giving you a hug....Priceless!! :-)....You are also soo right on what comes around, goes around....On the pick's.... You RULE!!....Great stuff!!....

mick87: Yo bro!!....Thank's for the heads up on Ricky's interview with Greg!!!!....If you dont know him, you better start!! That man is an incredible player, and one of the most unknown also....He has a new album out called Extraction....That will give you an idea....

death cube K: Still working on Caparison bro....I need to get some info from the store on how to get them....They had 1 Model, but they are constantly changing git's....IBY's are in the back of the store now, and Gibby's and Fender's are in the front....lol, seems they are into non-domestic stuff these days....I'll let ya know when I find something out....

quito:....Thank's bro, it worked this time!!....Programa!!.... Look's like a great place!!....Is that a pic or a painting of JOE?? Great stuff man....BTW, JOE wears his guitar higher these day's, lol helps his playing ;-)

MIchelle great story :) You must have seen Joe quite a few times for him to have recognized you, that's very cool for both of you :) I don't think Joe would recognize me cuz I've only met him twice and neither time did I think to give him my name or tell him who I was on T2J...which is the same thing since Sharif is my real name hehe.

death cube K: Well, I can get an IBY cheaper here than I can get it anywhere else, ('cept those Guitar Warehouses online), lol, but if I want to buy a Fender USA, I'm going to pay high $$$$!!....Fender Japan, on the other hand, is cheap!!....The same Fender USA compared to a Fender Japan is almost double the price!!....lol, it's all cause of that USA made logo and the better USA Fender woods....Over here, they believe the more it costs, the better it is, which is not true in all cases....Of course we all know about that made in Korea stuff ;-)
