Thanks Ovation!

Satch tunes? too many to list...I love it when he cooks!

Songs that immediatley come to mind....always Surfing with the Alien. It's like a signature song for him old song I know, but it sticks with you...kind of like G&R's Sweet Child o Mine. Big Bad Moon, Ice nine, Crystal Planet...& love the Satch Boogie. I could go on....Never seen him live though... Wednesday was going to be it...

I mean Thursday (the 6th) Massy Hall, Toronto...you haven't heard great acoustics till you've been there...what a venue for these guys! Historical theatre/concert hall. Toronto synphony used to play there what sound...not a bad seat in the house.

jamcar - Yeah, Highway Star would've been cool. They could have even done Smoke On The Water. That song isn't really jam-friendly, but they could have changed the arrangement and added a solo break after every verse. There's nothing wrong with that. I think the best two Deep Purple jam tunes would be Space Truckin' or Pictures Of Home, but those aren't really recognizable to the casual rock fan.

JS Clone 1 - The "annoying off-time rhythm line" that you refer to is The Reaper. How can anyone not like that song? I love it...LOL. Then again, I love the Bill & Ted movies...so I like it for reasons other than Vai.
wes7777 - That clip is actually interference that was inadvertantly recorded when Joe was recording the studio version of FIABD. I don't think he knows where it's from.
mikesb - To add to what you said, Joe has said several times that the LISF DVD is, in his eyes, the best instructional video.
Sharif - The Robin Hood Syndrome...? I like that...LOL. You have a point, although it still doesn't make it okay to illegally download music. You mentioned that, though.
Stu Clone - I have to do an interview and think of a few possible news stories that I can write, find an illegal copy of Shattered Glass on the internet that I can burn to CD and bring to class, and redesign a newspaper page. Do any of those assignments interest you?
Matt Martinez - The "leechers" have still done something illegal.

Reb Beach for G3 next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone is having fun at all the shows, including G3. One point we all need to comment on is thanking all of the others involved in helping to bring us these great shows. Such as drivers, roadies, techs, sound and lights and all others. Let's give them all a salute ! Thanks guys for all of the hard work. I know it can be difficult and frustrating at times.

Rock on G3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so what are everyone's favorite satriani songs? i like "flying in a blue dream" "tears in the rain" "always with you, always with me" "surfing with the alien" "summer song" and "crushing day."

it's always seemes weird to me that the titles of the songs always go with what the song makes you feel or picture in your head when you listen to it.

Favorite Satch songs....Flying in a Blue Dream is great. Until We Say Goodbye, Mindstorm, Mountain Song, Hordes of Locusts, Friends, War, Tears in the Rain, Midnight....Jeez. All of them. Everytime I think of a great Satch song I keep thinking I need to list another so it isn't left out. I'd have to say Crystal Planet is my favorite album though. To cut it short, I love tracks 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 especially, 8, 9, 10, 11, and whatever number psycho monkey is. Anways...

Seems like a lot of us were at Toronto, attendance showed like...what...263 or something ? Wow.

I am SO excited about hearing, feeling and seeing the show tonight! I tried to register for the 'after the show' drawing, but I don't think that part of the site is compatible with WebTv. No matter, just knowing I will be there and my ex, who also worships you as the guitar gods you are, will NOT, is good enough for me. ;-) Thank you for sharing your Blessing with us mere mortals!

haha, i'm absurdly satisfied with revolutions. it's just .. complete :) lots of holes left by obviously heavy editing, but it comes together and makes all three movies a perfect story.

Nick Pike Brandoni (based in Wembley) do Floyd licensed trem bridges for £50. They're excellent quality too.

wes7777 apparently it was radio interference picked up in the studio, and they taped it. Nobody knows where it came from though.

Ethn "pigfuckers"?? LM-mother-FAO!!! Snow Dog for G3!!!

Anyone know what happened to Carlos Cavazo???

I saw Matrix Revolutions tonight. I can't believe all of the negative reviews I've read! It has to be the perfect ending to the trilogy. It answered all of my questions from the 2nd movie enough and left enough open to make it intriguing.

Kudos to the Brothers for not giving us a pap Hollywood sequel and ending!

MOWLIE - Your cover of Gary Moore is very cool. About T2J CD Publicity, i have done what i can about it. I have a contact to go a Portuguese TV Channel introduce the project :-) witm MIGUPAIS. Regards.

OCPS470 - Jeff Campitelli is a great musician, if Joe prefer Jeff is because he is a wonderful drummer indeed!!!

PHRYDOM - I´m cool and you bro? Everything ok in UK? Regards!!

sugarplum-it´s hard to say, because almost every song has a part that makes it good. Anyway, I like all songs from Flying in a blue dream album, but that doesn´t mean I don´t like others.

ethn: i think you missed the idea of the third film. It has a very subtle message behind it. It was a very different film to reloaded i admit but i still think it was excellent. I also think they made the plot a bit too complicated and id say about 75% of the people who see it wont get it. Still a great film tho.
