Wow, I've been away.
Very wearing-outing weekend. I'm on holidays of course, but do you think that makes things slow down?
SurferDave: the drummer for Evanescence was the guitarist from Living Sacrifice, a (brilliant) Christian modern heavy metal (not 80s hair metal) band. The previous guitarist has recently joined P.O.D., whose new album is out in the USA, but not here yet. (Friday). A bit of trivia for you.
Michelle: as long as we all remember the most important part of that night - Yngwie wore a nice cologne.
Holy crap for brains, there's still 10 pages to go!!! It's skimmin' time...
SupaaDave: funny story about the aeroplane and the guide dog!
Lyz: what was the good news then? We got the horrible and bad news...
Clarky: "drummer that graduated" hahaha
I forgot about Remembrance Day (cardinal sin?) believe it or not. That makes 4 years in a row. That's what happens when you live by yourself with holidays in November. Fortunately I cranked up the CD player at 11:11AM (no joke...) and not before 11AM...or the (however many) minute silence would have been marred by Foo Fighters. (Which by the way is a WWII term.) Maybe I should call it Forgetrance Day.
Stu Clone: it's not righteous because: two wrongs don't make a right. Didn't your mother tell you that?
Jimi was drugged up, and he died from it. Therefore he lost. It's a bit of a pity!

Is this post 44444?
Heh heh here's a funny story: the gig we did on Saturday night, we drove way out to a paddock in the country, guess what happened when we got there. Yes that's right, we realised the bass guitar was left behind.
So we asked around to see if anyone had a bass guitar we could borrow. Got one from a young teenager. His dad got it for us, and the guy didn't know. He came up to us and mentioned how we had "the same bass guitar" as he did...of course we then told him he was 100% correct...it was the same bass guitar...and "thanks for the use of it"...

Hey I just edited my post, I think what I said is completely right. The wording seems harsh, however the words in their true meaning are fair enough.
edit: I wasn't judging him at all. I never met him. I wasn't born until after he died, but taken literally "drugged up loser" isn't far from the truth. That's what I meant to say before anyway.

Hey, has anyone seen that Gary Moore has a new DVD out? It's on my Christmas list.
So is the new DVD by the Allman Brothers. Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes...now there's a guitar duo to be watched. Derek's a phenominal slide player and Warren, well he's Warren isn't he? The Allman Brothers continue to demonstrate why they're the godfathers of jam bands.
Y'know, Derek Trucks might not be a bad addition to G3 also. Hmmm...
PhryDom: Sure it makes it ok. We are after all humans...omnivorous creatures. To be anything else is to deny our true humanity.

But he lost against drugs...they killed him therefore they beat him...

I personaly think that dividing the world between winners and losers is a very stupid way of thinking.
Jimi was not a loser. He may not have died like a hero, but that's how he should be remembered: a hero.

we should all just stop talking about poor jimi..weather you like him or not...weather you think he was a drugged up loser or if you think he was a hero. this debate is going nowhere. (can't we all just get along, lol)
Jimi was a genius, he did drugs. we should rember him as a genus. nevermind his addiction.
i don't know what i'm trying to say.....
So..how about this crazy weather...eh ..eh

Will say this one more time: in a literal sense...Jimi lost against drugs. Loser = someone that loses / has lost. Winning and losing is not a "one or the other" kind of thing. You win some, you lose some. Everyone is a winner and a loser to some extent. It's called life. Therefore I can call you (or me) a loser, with no fear of being incorrect. Therefore I can call Jimi a loser, with no fear of being incorrect. To say someone is an overall or complete loser is completely different. I am in no way doing that. So stop thinking so hard in pop culture and it's meaning of words.
That was my point from the first place.
I think he's done a lot of good things for music and guitar.

the first person who called jimi a loser today ment a loser..in an extremely negative way...i guess he did lose to drugs..but usally when people just call someone a loser...it's implying that they are a bad person..and i'm pretty shure its what that person implyed (not talkin' about you Artanis, i generally agree with what your saying) .....but anywho :)
it's all good

Anyone heard Payable On Death yet? I hope it's better than that Satellite album. Fundamental Elements of Southtown was the one.
I bought 1/2 a dozen CDs yesterday: POD "Fundamental etc" 1999...(finally, instead of borrowing all the time), Foo Fighters "One By One" 2002 (already have it, will give it to someone), Hoobastank 2001, Incubus "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." 1997, Linkin Park "Meteora" 2003, The Butterfly Effect "Begin Here" 2003. Combined total: A$34.80. That's somewhere around $25US. Weep.
Later, BEN. I am on holiday. So there. #evil laugh#

I guess I should stop doing that. I know what he meant and what he said literally are not the same. I get caught up in picking out the literal meanings of sentences.
This is by far not the first time I've "defended" someone's statement in this way. Each time I disagree with their intended meaning but agree with their literal wording...the word pedant springs to mind.
Sorry to cause such needless arguing Zach, Quito & Aimless...

962 I didn't know about the Hillclimber...sounds pretty cool though. Power is good, but you really only need so much when going to work. It's kinda like someone who buys a car that can go 280 mph....it's like buying a 36 hour clock lol!

O.K., so much for the Barry White song. Damn, foiled again!
PhryDom, www.sharonosbourne.com will tell you all about it.
Hendrix not a decent person?? I thought he was very cool and way beyond his time. If it's the drugs he did that make you feel that way - well, that kinda wipes out half the music industry...
Invigor, I can only think of two words to sum up my thoughts on your travel - holy shit!!! So glad you got to meet the guys too!
Benny, he did! LMAO!!!
