Hi Joe,

Saw your show in Montreal last week and was quite impressed with yours and Steve's performance. I think you could have done some stuff from Engines of Creation (which is one of my favorites) but anyway, you are a pro and I am proud to have seen you in person.

What I'd like to say today is that this guy Mumsteen is a clown. He's a joke and not worthy of you or Steve. I think that if the whole of his show was removed your show would still be worth the money.

This is my opinion, some people might like his insane repetitive nonsense, but for me it's not something I'd ever like to see or hear again.

Thanks.

...ok, I understand that I should remember Jimi for his music rather than his personality. But I still think that Joe is a better singer and guitar player, that is my opinion and I have a right to it.

Dissappointed by the new Dream theater.Way too heavy. It gets really repititious.BUT-Petrucci is a fucking ANIMAL.Probably some of the fastest picking ever commited to record, just insanecrazygonutsfast.

It's kinda growing on me, but I am not happy.Boo.

Did anyone get the Satch's anthology CD yet? I just realized that it was supposed to come out yesterday. I was busy, so I'll have to pick that one up (as well as Dream Theater's album) from Best Buy. Keep on rocking JOE!

Great site here. I saw the G3 show at the Beacon Monday night and it was great! I waved at Joe a few times from the lower balcony and he actually waved back! Funny watching Yngwie acting like he was the only one on stage - lol. He's truly great and a legend but man I think he could have at least tried to have been a little more sharing. Vai was interesting, first time I've ever heard him live. Very good. Joe was excellent. I wish he would have played memories but what he did play was excellent. I think of all the guitarists everybody was into Joe the most. Petrucci and Neal schon was quite a surpise to me. Had no idea that this could happen. Kinda funny watching Neal seemingly get a little pissed at Ynv when Yngv was doing one of his many solos. Could have been my imagination though. I had a great time.

About Hendrix. At that time, many in that scene were using drugs. He became famous very fast in a scene where drug use was almost a trademark. Look at hendrix. Is it not possible given the particularities of his unique situation that he endured tremendous stresses that many of us cannot imagine, especially at that time in the 60's? Hendrix was just unlucky. But he played guitar like no other before him. His playing had more raw passion than just about anybody you can name. He was a unique genius imo.

Well, blah, blah, thanks for such a great show Joe! You are the best!

Jake_49ers, I think the most inflential guitarist oif all time is Charlie CHristian, if it wasn't for him, Wes Montgomery, and Mutty Waters who made the electric guitar what it is, there would be no hendrix, btw why did he ever take drugs, what was the reason behind it? I also know that he makes a lot of mistakes live, he was booed at his last performance.

Jake_49ers: I give Jimi credit for being the great that he is, but I agree with you. I think there have been a ton of players to come along since, and take guitar to the next level. Satch and Vai being my two faves.

He loves satch and it was his first concert ever! And he was @_@ the whole time lol . So yea I did buy the jacket and get passes it seemed like they had a bunch but again I just wanted to make sure there were a bunch that's why i asked.

Jimi is a good guitar player but I just think that guys like Joe and Steve are better and you have to admit Jimi wan't the best singer around, Joe isnt the very best either but he is in tune witht he music and sounds good. He has a ruegular (I think its called alto or something) voice that sounds good for his music.
