Artanis - The bad news was I left my nail clippers up there (which I didn't, those were his he was looking at), and the good news was that he made it back to Ottawa safely. :)
The Prez- I have a collection of Satch guitar books. It's not complete, but it's been hard to come by the books. In Buffalo I have only found SBM (which I bought off the net before it came out here) and Crystal Planet. The rest of my books I bought at various music stores in Canada. I picked up like four of them at this store that was going out of business, so I ended up getting them at about $11 dollars US. I suggest going to sheetmusicplus.com (I think that is the website), that is where I ordered Flying in a Blue Dream and SBM from. When I went to the website of the company that prints the books (Hal Leonard or Cherry Lane, can't recall at the moment), it said that they show the product, but want the money to go to their dealers, so to order it from them.
I feel bad though. Three times have I had people ask me to scan the music I have, or to borrow a book, and I have had to refuse, basically on the fact that it took me a lot of time and money to amass my collection, so if they really want to play the music that bad I figure they can drive 300+ miles to Ottawa and buy their own damn sheet music :p. Plus, I feel the same way about downloading music as I do about copying the sheet music. It just doesn't seem right.

Oh, and as far as drugs/music/Jimi go, I'm super anti-drug/alcohol. My heart broke when I read the Metallica Kerrang! where Kirk admitted he had done coke. With him being a huge influence to me, I became really sad. Luckily he is over it now. But still.

First of all everybody who stood up for Jimi just got extra points with me. Especially Zach and Quito Jimi was not a loser or anything close to that! If so then I guess so was Julius Ceasar and Alexander the Great since they both died at an early age! But their legacy will be forever. Why? Because of what they accomplished in their life. The fact thaty Jimi did what he did by age 27 is more of a testament as to what kind of person he was. To say he was a bad person and treated women badly proves you are getting your information from an unvalid source. lol Women loved Jimi! the ones around him treated him like a God. And from what I've heard from people who were close to Jimi was that he was a humble, and shy person. Hardly the ravaging, drug induced woman beater you have made him out to be. Jimi died trying to do more for the people of this world musically than anybody ever had. Thats what killed him- pushing himself too hard to please everybody. Even Mitch Mitchell said That people were always around hounding him and he never got a moments peace! Imagine that! You try to handle even 1/10 the stress Jimi did. I guarantee you will be using some kind of drug whether legal or illegal to cope with everything. Jimi died serving us, just like many great people throughout history. We pushed him too far and he just wore himself out. If you take the whole package Jimi is on a level almost unattainable by anybody else. Sure their are great guitar players great writers, great singers but never all in 1 on the level that Jimi was . Good thing Joe understood where Jimi was coming from otherwise we would not have the awesome music he creates for us!

Matt Martinez, Isn't Marty on some other tour right now? I dunno if he's interested.
I put James Hetfield before many people, yes, alot of those people could blow him away in guitar, but it was a favorite list, not a technical list. I like his downstroke chordings, really cool, and he defined 80's metal!

The Prez Yeah, I think Marty's already on tour, but since Satch and Vai are having so much fun with Yngwie they'll have to have Marty next time around.
Tone Capone Happy 200. I havent really been following the politics over here because I've been on Powertabs and Korn, but if the discussion of Jimi being a loser because of drugs, I'd have to say no, he was no loser. His drug taking was his own trip, and, as far as I'm concerned, may have inspired his music. Now I'm not saying the drugs are a good thing, but they were part of his personal life, so no one has the right to slam him for it because it was his perogative.

Michelle - I'm sure Michael Jackson would be willing to write a song about it...
Clarky - "if a hairy 230lb psychopath asks you for napkins to write gibberish on... you give him napkins and smile"... lmao man!
Thanks though Paul... You really took the whole, "tell a story" with the song approach to the next level. That's really cool. I actually had to listen to the song again, and I found a picture of the painting on the net as well. It's real cool, everything made sense. I had my own mental movie goin' on in my head as well, and the music made the perfect soundtrack for it.
This is an interesting way to do things... I make up all kinds of wierd/twisted stuff up in my head everyday, lol. Translating it from my head to paper without anything but a napkin will take some time though. Only practice I guess...
To experience the ROTSW in a new way... listen to this while looking at this.
Kevt03 - Peruvian Skies is my favorite right now. I'm really enjoying Falling Into Infinity a lot lately. I don't have all the DT cds yet, but I'm finding I can only get "so" progressive, before it becomes too much. But in the end, the band rocks so much.
Do the Stuuuuuuuuu - Happy 1500 ring leada!
Jimi was the man. He did a lot for music... undoubtly changed it and made more things possible. But the drugs did screw him over in the end... I mean, look at Ozzy! The poor guy can barely speak.

First off, I haven't been on here since I went to see the EoC show a few years ago. Glad to see the TalkToJoe forun still up! Anyways, I don't know if there was any official word or not but I want to know why Texas was shafted by this tour. Especially Austin. I just moved here and figured I was in perfect for the tour. I've been up to here and San Antonio to see his shows since the self-titled CD. And now all of a sudden no TX dates? What's up with that?
