New dream theater is growing on me.But really slowly. Its their worst album, for me.Only one song I can listen to all the way through. Some cool parts though.PETRUCCI IS SICK!

ugh... damn... i can see about sunday, i guess... i don't know what our chances are of getting practice space in the chapel are though... i'll check. man -- job discontent all around here -- that sub gig that i was supposed to cover tonight went nowhere, cuz the piano player never came and met me to pick me up like she was s'posed to.
on a lighter note, i found a demo of teenage mutant ninja turtles. it's a new version that looks like it'll kick ass, but the bosses are freakin hard!
zach, you up for next sunday?

Graham-I know man.It sucks, but hopefully I can get some regular saturdays off.I still might get it off, the door isn't closed on it yet, I just saw the tentative schedule, and I'm supposed to work it.I tlaked to Brandon, and he said he might need it off for his gig.Being that I have no gig, I guess my desires are deemed less important.

I am vexed.

My Gf and I were blessed to see Joe, Stevie, and Yngwei Freakin' Malmsteen that's who, at the House of Blues in Orlando and we were blown away by the masters. It was one big rush to get to meet them, especialy Joe after the show, Satch autographed my Living in A Blue Dream CD, now my most prized possesion, as did Vai a CD for me and Yngwie's sig on his CD. My Gf said Yngwie's guitar licks made her tingle so I gave her his CD. I really dug Stevie's set what awesome showmanship and technique, a guitarist extrordinaire, he is. I've seen Joe twice, 1999 at the Fillmore in Denver on tour and now G3,03, also YJM in 1999 with DIo. Each time watching Joe was like a Spiritual experience. Joe Satriani you areTHE guitar god of our generation. Since that show you have inspired me to be all that I can be, and will no longer spend my dough on trivial things so that I can buy everything you have ever recorded that is how much you have touched my soul my friend. If your wondering why I havent seen more Satriani shows it's cause I'm a "Lunar unit" who doesnt get around much anymore. Say hi to all the G3 alumni especially EJ hey maybe you could have a G6 or 7 mega tour someday. Peace, Love and Happiness, Satch, Stevie, and Yngwie. Live Long and Prosper. Over and out, JOey aka MOonwolf.

mischievous, yes Extreme as in More Than Words. Is that the only thing of theirs you heard? if so, a lot theie other stuff is a little different. I would imagine you may have heard Decadance Dance and maybe Get The Funk Out too?

Anyhow, yeah, there were four of 'em, with Gary Cherone singing lead vocals, Pat Badger playing bass, Paul Geary playing drums, and Nuno playing guitars/keyboards/some brass/some strings, and just about everything else that was added in there! Although for some of the brass/strings sections he just arranged it for others to play.

Oh, by the way, I meant to say - my bad on calling you bro'! Hehehe, sorry about that. That's partly why I added my name to my public profile, cuz "962" isn't gender-specific!

That's quite interesting what Jordan Rudes had to say about the show he saw!
juju, awww, that's a pretty nasty story! All that money spent just for a paper, kinda sucks!
Great, this JP and JS mp3 is gonna take me an hour to download. It'd better be bloody good! hehe

edit: having finished downloading it I can say......mm.....if your connection is slow like mine it's not worth the effort. You can't properly hear Jon's part, and the sound quality isn't good, which is okay, cuz it is a 'bootleg', but that aspect could be made more obvious.

Must have been cool to see, can't wait to see the new G3 DVD, to see if Yngwie came up with anything as well-structured as Jon did!

I listened to Van Halen 3 tonight. Most Van Halen fans hate the album, but I absolutely love it. What do people here think?

The Prez - Yeah, that's the basic idea. Sorry for saying it with a lot of words, but I wanted to make sure you understood me. Why does something that takes half a second to demonstrate in person take a paragraph to explain in writing? LOL...

JS JS - Joe didn't play Time Machine for the DVD.
T1MER1DER - You're right...maybe I mistakenly said "sideways" instead of "down". Sorry for the confusion.
Stu Clone - Aren't roommates fun? LOL. I didn't talk to my roommate AT ALL during my freshman year. He did all kinds of crazy stuff that made no sense to me. He got into drugs during the year and decided it was safer to hide his marijuana in a car instead of in the room (man, I wish he would've gotten pulled over by a cop just once). He enrolled in a creative writing class because he saw it as a way to make stuff up and get credit for it, without having to do any "work". ::sigh:: I could go on forever...

What's that about a TMNT demo?

Ethn Hayabusa - Cool...when I asked to hear a bootleg of the song after I heard that the jam happened, I never imagined that one would actually surface. Man, they sound GREAT together.

...Austin...

Joe, maybe you can do this if you read this and have the time. Wondering. Can someone maybe post a playlist of Joe's set at any of the G3'03 shows, or if you were at the House of Blues show in Orlando. It was the best show I've been to in over 150 concerts I've ever seen cause it was G3 and you guys rocked the House to perfection. Thanks it's for my Gf AND I, she wants to buy every CD that has the tunes you played at the show. I have almost all of them. Peace

HI JOE~!!! about the poll for the DVD contest: it's frustrating how none of the choices ~I~ would have picked show up ~ for example, (A)the running commentary of the Italian Tuff charachter from the BBM video, "yeah, yeah, yeah, ok, what else?" ... (B)Joe wiggling his eyebrows at someone in the audience during the LA AIDS SWTA footage (someone a guy would never vote for, yeah I know) ... (C)JR's 15 minutes of fame (D)awesome photo on the cover ... stuff like that! And what, pray tell is the difference between "behind the scenes" and "interveiws"? that was a stumper for me ~ maybe this should have said "interviews" vs "exclusive footage" (LA AIDS, MTV Unplugged, home movies from studio sessions, etc) ~ and the fact I have to choose ONE thing to vote for seems rather unfair ~ if I'm hooked on the interviews, I have to shaft Nigel. This hurts. Maybe I got the VHS because I want to own one of everything Joe has ever done ~ or maybe I just need to see the BBM video one more time ~ maybe my reasons for owning it change every time I get the strange beautiful urge to pop my VHS into the player ~ Life is so unfair (wow, how's that for a NewsFlash??? "This Just In!!!") ~End~Of~Rant~ ...peace,everyone...

Ethn Hayabusa: Thank's for finding that clip!!....As I imagined, JOE's sound cut's through like glass, and it was fun to hear John pick (I believe that's how I heard it from the clip) the solo instead of Legato, lol!!....John is kuul, an A-1 Class guy!! :-)

Do The Stu: lol, I know the songs from \//-/III, but after getting it loaned to me, I never bought it waay back when....I am a Roth era fan....Van Hagar had some good stuff, but nothing like the Roth era IMHO....Too bad they all cant get along :-/ I wish Eddie would straighten out and come out of the woodwork!! ....lol....

PhryDom: lol D/\\/E!!....We'll be ready, and maybe that's a good thing....loans credit cards & bank accounts closed....I hope you got them paid-off....We're pulling for ya in SATCHLand bro!! :-)....
