wow... cool summer song clip
austin, i was just checkin the latest demos at http://www.avault.com/ and i saw tmnt, so i HAD to get it ;) it's kinda difficult to get used to how some of the stuff works if you're really used to shooter style games or scrollers (it's "3d-ish" with a camera that changes based on where you are)... it looks cool and is fun, but that makes it really difficult to beat the bosses (there are at least two in the demo, i don't know if there's anything after the 2nd one cuz i haven't beat him)

Yeah after this week I'll officially be broke and 700 bucks in the hole to dad for the Dean Hardtail...good thing I have my sports stuff on ebay because that should at least cover Vai and Satch's new anthologies and DVD's. Gotta pick up more stuff from home to sell during Thanksgiving...I think I'm gonna have to sell my sports autographs, too :*(

Bob, yah, there's a bunch of others that are wrong, too... i made a big ol list in one of my latest posts...
be sure to put something in your link space...
[link url="----" (then you close the bracket) AND BE SURE TO PUT SOMETHING HERE BEFORE ADDING [/link (and close bracket)
conversely, you could make the url the SOMETHING HERE stuff and not use that url=" " stuff at all.

I came across the Twister soundtrack as I was putting away my Van Halen 3 CD last night. I haven't listened to it in a LONG time, so I thought I'd play my two favorite songs on it. One of them is Long Way Down by the Goo Goo Dolls, which I haven't listened to in at least two or three years. As soon as the guitar solo came up, I was able to "play along" (or hum along) with it in my head. It's hard to believe that I still have it memorized after not hearing the song for a few years, and that it all jumped back into my head after hearing the first few notes. Anyway...
MOonwolf - Hi. The songs that were most likely played at your concert are: Satch Boogie, The Extremist, Crystal Planet, Starry Night, Midnight, Flying In A Blue Dream, The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, Always With Me Always With You, and Summer Song.
Stu Clone - Condering that the Anthology songs have been newly remastered, it wouldn't make sense for Sony to use the sound clip links to link to the other albums (although that's what Jon did here, so I guess it isn't out of the question). Wouldn't it be something if Sony completely screwed up the remastering process and put the wrong songs on the CD? Ouch... That'd never happen because I'm sure Joe listened to the final product, but still...it's scary to think about. ;-)

Hi all, well its been a long time since my last post,so i,ll start i guess by saying well done to Joe on yet another blinder G3 tour.

Aww man, I have 20 pages to catch up on!
Kell, who's Bill Hicks? lol!
Greg M, so much for racing me to 1000. I think I have engine trouble? lol!
Thanks for all the happy 9-hunerts :)
R6R, very good post about drug use. Sooo many people abuse drugs and think they're fine because, after all, their doctor wrote the prescription, right? They're not "drug" users. No way! Just because they take a pill to wake up and one to go to sleep, and one to calm down, and one to speed up - hey, it's all by the hand of the doctor, right. Perfectly legal. Ask Elvis, he'll agree. Oh wait, he's dead. Nevermind. Abuse is abuse. Some people get a bad rap, and others slip on through unnoticed. What's the difference between a preppy housewife, or a buisness man, or a rock guitarist, or actor who all died of a drug overdose? The difference is THE PRESS! The press makes it into whatever they want, and the public deems it as the "truth". Anyways, I agree totally agree with your post. Just thought I'd add my .02, which turned into about .03 1/2. I'll shut up now...
LGU89, lol!! I hope you'll have a meeting with Joe or whoever you wish someday too. Stay positive!
Dragonchild, your right. Your life could have turned out the other way, but it hasn't. GOOD FOR YOU!! It's so easy to fall into drugs and/or alcohol when it's so close to you. It takes a strong person to go through a rough upbringing and not fall into the trap. You should be proud of yourself. Now I'll go back to my own life. lol!
Clarky, sooo I won't be getting any coffee then, eh? lol!
T2J cd is good to go?!?! FINALLY!! *Shel does a happy dance* Keep us posted!
Geez man, I still have 3 pages to go and I have to stop. My daughters bf came over and I have to beef up security (for my daughter that is ;) . lol! Keep yer hands clappin' Mister!

Most ovverated guitarists
Here's my list.
1:Kurt Cobain
2:Jerry Garcia
Now I'm not dissing their music, this is just an opinion. I feel at times they get more credit than a lot of other musicians.
What woulld you want to be played at your wedding an funeral? Mettalica, Fade to Black for my funeral and War by Satriani
Wedding Bad Horsie, and Ride the Lightning
What do I want for the NExt G3? As long as Joe and Steve are there that's all that matters, but........
Steve Morse, Phil Keaggy, David Gilmore.
BTW, Jake E Lee is totally undderepresented, if it wasn't for him oz would be dead. BTW, didn';t a couple of kids kill themselves over suicide solution?
Ozzfest, HAs anyone been there. It should be called pukefest, because that's what's all around. Ozzy is a joke now, he has to read cue cards for lyrics and can't even stand straight. He should retire.
If an artist has to lip-synch to be able to pull of a concert, I would feel ripped off my money. It's sheer laziness in my opinion. I've seen musicians on TV do it, I can't believe there are people who don't care when an artist does this! I guess it's more show now!
Of all the Metallica songs, Orion is my favorite, cool instrumental.,
Eric Clapton, Looking back, he's been in so many bands, it seems he was very unstable to keep a band together. I think's he's a big influence, I like the earlier stuff. A lot of people say there into Clapton, but most of them only listen to the hits, his greatest guitar work was with the deep blues stuff, like on Bluesbreakers.Looking back, he's been in so many bands, it seems he was very unstable to keep a band together. On Eugene's Trick Bag, it says Vai plays a 28th note, I actually don't think Steve used that, I think he hit the string beyond the frets to do that noise, Joe Satriani does this like on fret 30, 31, if there would be one, on the "Not of this Earth" album.

The Prez I went to OzzFest this year and it kicked major ass. The bands were really good. Sure Ozzy's gone downhill, but at times OzzFest isnt what it is without the man himself. A lot of people say that the hardcore metal sucks and that it's a bunch of detuned noise. Well you know what? The bands are far from puke. It's easy to shit all over a genre if you can't understand it, and know it's diversity and just basically understand the music. Just like when shred went out, people thought,"hey, this stuff sucks!" But yet, they didnt even try to understand it. take KoRn for example: they are revolutionaries. They invented a new type of metal and made it what it is today. There may be a few bands today in that genre that really suck, but thats no reason to say that they all do. Look at Yngwie Malmsteen. Many people hate his guts, but I dont see them bringing down the rest of the virtuosos just because of one bad apple.
Almost forgot: Ozzy wasnt lip-synching. it was perfectly obious that he wasnt. Now if he was, the vocals would have sounded better than they did!

the "prez": Jake E Lee had nothing to do with Ozzy being (STILL being) the man he is... his guitarguys always seem to suit him... Randy Rhoads started the trend.... and anyone who can find ANY fault with Randy will have to deal with Oz & Lemmy (and about a billion other peeps)...
Ozzy is Ozzy is Ozzy.... no question..... he gets guitar players that he needs for the time.... and I respect him for that....
Your comments about Ozzy as a stage man... well I can't comment.. I never saw him... but you know opinions are all subjective by their nature ;-)
Are you saying Ozzy lip-synced? In which case you're calling him lazy????
your repetition about Clapton was welcomed.... two sets of crap where only one correction woiuld suffice... "a lot of people say there into Clapton"... should really be "a lot of people say they're into Clapton".. and now Joe had a 30/31 fret guitar for NOTE????
Man.... take a breath... look up Mike Patton.... you'll find some amazing music that shouldn't make you ask any questions!!!!! ;-)

ROTFLMAO!!!
"Lol on the Strongbad too... kinda like the time when the orchestra practiced...Michelle started off on the wasboard "scratchety scratchety scratchety, clonk!!", and then Narface hit the Gong..."Gooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnngg", and then Juju was shaken those maracas furiously, "shakety shakety". Yeah, yeah... and then you came in with the bell-peggios, "chinka, clunka, clubba, clabba (the last three was a triplet)... and I was all like trying to play the 16ths on the glock at 400bpms, "dingdingdongtongbongblongtingding, thwack!", and then Artanis was all like, singing the girl from Ipanema, and then he played a HUGE triangle solo with one hand tied behind his back!! "ting ching wing x40"!!! What a sick group...lol... "
Good one Mick!!
