Mick87: Here is the definition of what Jello (gelatin) is:

1 : glutinous material obtained from animal tissues by boiling; especially : a colloidal protein used as a food, in photography, and in medicine.

This is from the Mirriam-Webster online dictionary.

Yuck!!!!! :)

Joe, what are the chances of a visit to the uk in the near future? Whilst complaining to my girlfriend that the current G3 tour would not be making it out of the the states, she secretly bought two tickets for the show at Humphreys in San Diego and flew us both out there (yes, I know that this is unbelievably cool...and no I will not be swapping her for anyone else). The show was fantastic, as was the show you did in Cardiff on the "Crystal Planet" tour. All of this has unfortunately just left me hungry for more!!

Has anyone here used one of those digital devices that slow down and loop sections of music tracks without changing the pitch? I'm thinking about buying one to learn fast solos such as Joe's but I'd like to know how helpful they really are before dishing out all that money?

Ya Yo Gakk, haven't listenned to Kid Rock's Bad Company cover yet... But how about kids listenning to Avril Lavigne's cover of "Knocking On Heaven's Door" and saying "Cool! Avril recorded a Guns and Roses's song!" Ouch!

mischievous, that wasn't a joke :-P

alexandrecaetano, bom saber que estás protegido :-) Fui no www.vai.com e realmente, são boas novas... Sabe me dizer se é o próprio Vai que canta em "Rescue Me Or Bury Me"?

anyone: Isn't it Vai singing on "Rescue Me Or Bury Me", from the "Sex And Religion" album?

New Metalica Album? What do you think it'll be like? I don't think it'll be all that well judging from the last few albums, but I hope someday Metallica will return to it's earlier glory!

....On the jokes....I will post question's....

Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?"
Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken there... I'm gonna eat the next thing that comes outta it's a**."
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

lol, just got back from work, and those question's seemed funny, hehe ;-)

What do folks here think of players like Buckethead and Rusty Cooley. I got albums by both. Buckethead, cannot stand the music but the man has some definite talent there. Some of the insane riffs got people thinkin that Bucket was really Pablo under a pseudonym... Rusty, just do not like it as well, as impressive as the speed sounds, much like Angelo, there is no emotion or tastiness to the playing, a lot of fast notes for the sake of a lot of fast notes. Ferrigno and Leal kinda fall into the same category although I can relate to the music a little more. Their release also has Vitalij Kuprij who is a keyboard monster...... Check out Live Ring of Fire, Mark Boals, Kuprij, Terrana and Tony Mac. Recommended. G3 should have allowed TMac more soloing space like with Steve's tour video.....

Man, I'm so pissed! That's angry pissed, not liquered up pissed. I just went to Best Buy and Circuit City looking for Joe's cd & DVD & neither place had them. I waited for this guy to "check in the back" for over a half an hour. All he could tell me was that they have about 80 boxes to unpack. What! Let's get crackin there buddy! My Satch cd is sitting in there somewhere! They only have 7 in stock, and he said it might take them a friggin' week to get to them. GRRRR! To piss me off even more, he kept pronouncing Satriani wrong on his walkie-talkie thing to the guy in the back. HOW F'IN HARD IS IT!!! They have no problem pronouncing any other name. The girl at Circuit City just looked at me and said "uh, I didn't see it", then flipped through 2 pages in a book and told me they don't have it. I checked the shelves where it should have been at both places. No good. I remember I had to get a guy to get C.P. out of the "back" at Best Buy the day it came out. I don't usually get so angry when stuff like this happens, and I wasn't angry towards either salesperson, but I hate that they know all the pop crap and look at me like I'm an ALIEN when I ask for Joe Satriani. lol! Alien...Joe Satriani...that was just dumb. LOL!!! O.k., I got that off my chest. I feel better. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Gabriel Rivas very nice and clean cover of Cliffs of Dover - my band and I screw around with it sometimes except that they like to play it faster - easy for them, impossible for me hehe. Also I never took the time to learn it note for note...during the faster passages I play my own thing in the same key...one day I'll get around to learning it all and posting it here. Keep it up!
