Do the Stu I know what you mean, being consistant is importand, Peyton Manning is and is good, VIck has had some big games like you siad, but I just dont like the Eagles of McNab and he is overated, there are other, better guys out there. I really liked Jeff Garcia (49ers) last year and Marc Bulger (Rams) and also Rick Gannon (Raiders). Of course different guys have different seasons and some arent always on top. I like Kurt Warner alos and he is good but last season he just didnt have it.

do the stu - i can only get up to the second rank on that i'm afraid- but i'm far more addicted to freecell, solitaire and minesweeper- classics...

Clarky or anyone else who knows much about classical music! I'm struggling with finding the differentiating between the following terms, particularly within postmodernism...

borrowing (possibly taking some general musical ideas, eg. sonata structure and applying it to more modern music)

quotation (i'm using berio's sinfonia movement III as an example of this atm)

reference (possibly a shorter kind of quote- like Debussy's inclusion of the tristan theme in Golliwog's Cakewalk)

recomposition (using Michale Nyman's In Re Don Giovanni for this) - i'd say this is basing something solely on another piece of music, and then selectively recomposing it.

Please please let me know soon if you can help! Essay's due on Friday!

The Osbournes. Definitely the Osbournes. Daddy's a rocker, that's all the excuse I need. :)

If Tipper Gore were my mother I think I'd have to kill myself. As we've learned in the past, the Gores and musicians don't mix well. Put two people with two completely opposite opinions about life and force them to live with each other and it's like putting two pit bulls in the same room with one piece of meat. Eventually, one of them is going to die...

Osbournes -- 5
Gores --------- 1

Finally got some MP3s of my new music up on SoundClick. You can check them out by clicking here and clicking on the Music link on the right. Thanks to all who are encouraging me to remake Driving At Night. It's definitely coming...but for now, you'll all just have to settle for some originals. :)

And before anyone gets on here and tells me, "It sounds like videogame music", well, I'm perfectly aware of that. That was the whole point. :) Cheers...

Clarky - All of the above... lol. I was asked to play the third shape of C# minor pentatonic. Being a complete prick, I actually played the fifth shape of G# minor pentatonic. Then Pete (the examiner) said "Do you want to try that again?" I did, and I played exactly the same thing. "Again, maybe?" "Oh, yeah. Shit..." I said. Dumbass. lmao

jsjerch Lucky lucky you. Her new album will be out on Favoured nations? I could own a lot of stuff on that label before long!

jelly man Nope, sorry, can't help you much there.

mick87 I've seen that photo of Joe and Al before and it is just one of the coolest photos ever.

the prez I don't have the satch tapes so I couldn't say, but I don't think so.

clarky Paicey is cool. Do you know the drum intro at the beginning of Living Wreck? I'm addicted to that. And to the drumming on the quiet bits of Child in Time, as a matter of fact. Now you've reminded me of it, I've re-realised how much good stuff there is on In Rock! I['d better listen to it again soon!

js js / Fretslayer I almost sold the red album back, but now I abslutely love it. In fact, I think its quite possibly overtaken FIABD and CP to become my second favourite Joe album after the Extremist. Don't get me wrong, I absolutly love CP, I still may rank it as his next best after TE, but it doesn't quite have the feel to it that the extremist and the red album did to them, sort of like sometimes he could think of nothing to do but shred. Of course, thats one weakness in an otherwise strong album, but if you persevere with the red album and eventually hear how good the songwriting is on that, you'll be rewarded. On the subject of EOC, the songs seem to be really cool live (I think the EOC tour is the time I most wish I could have been there to see Joe) and there are a lot of good songs on there, but it can at times on the album sound rather like the guitar gets in the way of the beats and the beats get in the way of the guitar.

962: Yeah man, that's great to see Andy's guitar will be available Worldwide!! I hope they sell, and it was a good idea for him to give everyone a heads up!!....

Clarky: lol on Manson, I'll make it a point to check it out.... btw, your over the recording hump, and it sounds like your taming the AWG very well now.... That's great news!!....

sugarbear: Once you get The Anthology, the liner notes will answer your question, and I'll give ya a heads up.... You are correct, he writes lyrics to them.... lol, I think JOE should publish them and make an autobiography!!....

One With The Computer: Thank's for the clip Kirk, and keep it up man!! :-)

cm92129: Rich' site at Ibanez Rules has ALL the info you need to find the answer.... Remember, dont F with the truss rod if you have no experience!!.... Take it to a pro, but first follow the setup instructions and tips....

jsjerch1: Congrats man!!....

michelle: No contest, hehe.... Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne or Al & Tipper Gore

Osbournes ~ 7 Gores ~ 2

....I hope the Ozzman recovers from this.... From the sounds of it, he messed himself up pretty bad.... Pull for Ozz..

If anyone wants to hear a really cool interview with Jack Douglas, click here (http://www.wfmu.org/listen.ram?show=9735&archive=10505). He was on WFMU last night and spent an hour talking about John Lennon.

For those who don't know, Jack is a record producer who has worked with artists such as The New York Dolls, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Slash, and (of course) John Lennon. Jack was actually working with John the night he was murdered, and was one of the last people to see him alive.

This interview is kinda long (about an hour), but it is a great listen. If it's too much, maybe only listen to a few minutes at a time and spread it out over a day or two. Jack has a great way with words...his stories about John are wonderful. I talked to Jack a few times about a year or two ago (we wrote a few emails back and forth)...he's a very cool guy.

...Austin...

One of my uncles was murdered last thursday. Yes, murdered is the correct word. It's been a very tough weekend for us, being that we used to spend every other weekend with him and his family when we were younger, so both our families were always very close.

I still find it very ironic that El Paso, TX is the second safest city in the US, while Juarez is one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico and probably all of Latin America, and all that separates these cities is a 50 meter wide river.

300 women killed in the past 10 years. Drug cartels operating freely and openly and killing everyone who gets in their way. And our government says we have a "marvelous country" (exact quote from a couple of weeks ago). Guess this city is not part of his country.

At any rate, my uncle was a good man, noble and always willing to help whomever crossed his path. I'd like to take this opportunity to let the whole world know that a good man has been taken away from us. Rest in peace.

Sorry guys, I had to let it out. Later.

NO!! I hate it when you write out a huge message and then the internet screws up, losing it all! Oh the pain...

Do the Stu - Cool man! Let me know when you listen to it... and by the way, I was the master of that Pinball Game. King Mick!!

Ovation - I never knew that Jazz was capable of such kickin' melodies! lol, Mike rocks!! If he plays a little farther north on the east coast, I'll be there! That would be the shiznit, lol... never thought I'd ever use that word, haha.

Michelle - We all just have to take a moment, and "will" that card to Australia! Come on everybody, Will it with me!! lol, I'm shaking my two arms at the computer screen, yelling "Come on!" a bunch of times... sigh, it's been a long day.

Quito - YES!! Animal is the best drummer ever! I mean, if you're looking for intencity, look no farther than the muppets! lol...

962 - Awesome news about the man Andy releasin the AT200 Worldwide. I'll have to try one of those things!

UF Dean - Al does look cool... I mean, I think I'll go out and buy a leather jacket and a kashmir scarf... then I'll be cool! lol...
