STU CLONE - A pick with 2,0 mm give me more precision and attack on electric guitar. When i play acoustic i like picks with 1,0 mm. Thanks bro!!

ARTANIS - I think that Ringo Starr is a great drummer. He is very important on Music History, and he played sometimes complex and creative stuff. Regards.

JOE - Hello Mr. Blue, nice to see you Joe and thanks for the good news!!!!

DO THE STU - Thanks for the headphones!!

OVATION1 - You are amazing lol, you are Italian!?!?!? Ok :-), i believe. Are you recording any stuff??

Obrigada.

ELPP - Sorry to hear that bro, my condolences to you and to your family. Take care.

PETE MULAS - Did you see my comment on your IUMA? You are great man!!

elpp Sincere condolences man, there are parts of this world and people in this world that just should not be here. May your uncle rest in peace............

Tastey Yeah you can do what you gotta do and still be laid back. I kinda feel for the guy if he is genuinely trying to figure out 'why we're here, what does it all mean and how do you do the best for you and yours'. I've got to say though that in my experience that is a thought pattern that is definitely not helped by the weed, too much introspection ......... ...'I analyse every second I exist, beating on my mind with my fist ............ One of the sad things about that is that it is so easy to spend your life wondering and worrying that your not getting the best out of it and in the end that is your life ! Its like Zen, only when you stop looking for the answer do you realise that you have known it all along. Life is just for living, enjoy it while your here. Carpe Diem ! btw - on the cat front, that sounds like bad news to me, you want an animal behaviour specialist, damn cat doesn't want his mind read, he needs his bumps felt - lol

Trutina Roflmao on the 50cc shit, and ain't that the truth that its always the small bikes that hurt - lol ;-)

Clarky Ahhhh beat me to it on the drummer thing............ Omar Hakim (Mr Infectious) and Billy Cobham (Da Man)....... mind you, like Mike said, I'd go along with the rest of the list but Ringo Starr ??!!!!!!
On a musical front, what is the best way to get the individual voices from the separate modes ? I know that you have to emphasise the tonality of the mode (ie - not just play the major scale that the mode comes from) but is it best to try and emphasise the notes that are sharpened or flattened relative to the major scale of the tonal centre ? Am I making any sense ? - lmao. Basically I'm trying to 'unlock' some new licks from the different modes, so I play a constant chord on the keyboard and widdle around the modes, trouble is that it seems to sound better when I play over changing chords (ie when changing modes while staying in the same scale position) as obviously it would but I'm not finding the real character of the modes. Do many people play a whole song in one mode and change the scale each time the chords change ? Am I trying to do something that won't work anyway ?

I had a tech tell me at a music store that the original fender strat fretboard that has always been put on the american strat was changed. a few years ago they started putting that fretboard on the strat made in mexico. and that the american strat fretboard is new. he was basiclly saying that the mexican made strat which runs $400 - $600 was the same as the classic american strat. any one have any ideas or opinions. does anyone know if there is a big difference in the american vs the mexican made strat(playability...feel...sound...)

Mowlie lmao man, just had a go at shooting the chickens, hah ha, you can tell it's another busy day in the office here - lol

Tastey Sorry about that, if some one is a bit eccentric, wild, nuts or whatever there's an expression that says they need their bumps felt. The point I was trying to make was that sending a video of a 'talking' cat to someone who will then proceed to tell you what they are saying is not as much use as finding an animal psychologist or animal behavioural specialist who can tell you what causes an animal to act the way they do. Maybe I'm sceptical (only maybe!) but the next thing you know the 'talking cat' will have its own Xmas present list - lol. I had a cat that would occassionally piss on the furniture and most of the time it was because he was looking for attention because another animal had arrived. The other thing is that animals start to get into patterns of behaviour so you have to find out what the cause is and deal with that and then break the behaviour pattern as well - just my thoughts on it anyway.

Edit - Hey Mike, how ya keeping bro' ? Has the CA Cd turned up yet ?

thats so what i want. not to worry and just live., unfortunately its in my blood, my mother passed it to me. so i am on anxiety meds for the last 3 years. what a coinsidence, been married for 3 years. but i've had anxiety since i was a kid as far back as i can remember like 7 years old i think. it just really came out the day i got back from my honeymoon, the worst panic attack ever!

so i am just trying to get my life in order....to just be happy. i dont consider my self to be an unhappy person, but i guess i expect my life to a certain way, and strive to get it that way? who knows.

by now you guys must think im a freak! eek!

pastel_black, as far as I'm concerned, the difference between american and mexican strats lies on body wood and pickups. While the american strats are made of alder, the mex are made of poplar, which is a pretty good tone wood, but a bit ugly (greenish). The pickups are inferior, too, but it doesn't mean that they're bad. Oh, the pickup routing is a bit different too, they leave more wood on the american (the mex is made to accomodate either a single coil or a humbucker on the bridge position, which in my case was an advantage when I wanted to upgrade mine to a hummy). And the mex that come with a brown sunburst finish have a thin layer of alder glued to the top and back of their bodies, to improve the look of it, so they're a bit more expensive. I dunno about this fretboard change, but all the other components seem to be pretty much the same on both models.

Cool, just saw a violin made of glass on TV... Some japanese dude builds it, and it's almost as expensive as a stradivarius...

mowlie HAHAHAHA the chickens wer funny!

pastel black The american strat is a higher quality instrument than the mexican one. Better quality materials are used and they go through more rigourous quality control. You can hear the difference if you play them.

This is the funniest thing ever! Today I was in the university shop (sells newspapers, stationery, a bit of food, uni t shirts etc) and what music was playing in the background? It was Another Brick in The Wall by Pink Floyd! In case anyone doesn't know the lyrics, they go:

We don't need no education. We don't need no thouggt control. No dark sarcasm in the classroom. Teacher leave the kids alone. Hey! Teacher! Leave the kids alone!

I thought it was hilarious, this being played in the uni shop. Its not exactly condusive to study, is it?
