Ok, so that story I was talking about in my last post, well the Joe influenced chapter is up now. Like I said before - it is manga/fantasy/LOTR style fiction writing. When I was writing it, I didn't realize how many Joe references I had made until I reread the chapter. So how many can you fantasy fiction fans pick out of there? Here is the link. Don't worry about story content, it is chapter 8 and the story is pretty deep so far, even though each chapter is only between 1500-2500 words a piece.

OCPS470, a manageable file size? 500K tops! hehe, my connection is that slow. I'd rather stream an mp3 or spend an hour dowloading a 1.5 meg file so I can hear it properly....that's why I suggested about putting a demo on an IUMA page!
Sharif, sorry to hear that dude. Your new truck, was that the Tacoma? That sucks big time....hope everything's okay and your truck gets fixed properly!
mikesb, King's X eh? What are they like? I heard Ty Tabor on his track on the first album of Gregg and Matt Bissonette's, and I thought it sounded really cool. Do you know the track I mean (Dr Toulak)? If so, is that laregly what he sounds like, or is King's X very different?
Jim712, happy birthday. Glad you're enjoying Live In SanFran - I thought the backstage feature was cool as well, and before you ask - the person you often see in the crowd on that DVD, waving round a thing saying "Satch rules" and "Surf With Satch" and so on, is Talk-To-Joe's very own MEGABOYD!

Lyz-choosing that song as a title wasn't bad idea. I didn't read other chapters, so I can't tell you nothing about the plot. I am just interesting how many chapters will you write? Because almost nothing happened in that chapter. But I like the way you write. It really is similar to Tolkien.

Thanks for reading, stringG. What actually happened in that story was very subtle. At the end of chapter 7, we learn that "Vyrus" is actually an evil being sent to tempt Lyra. And the whole time she is with him she feels as if she is under a spell.
As far as what I am going to do with this story, well I am going to keep writing until it's finished! If you want to read the other chapters, there is a drop down menu at the top and bottom of the page, on the right side that let's you choose which chapter you would like to read.
And wow, didn't realize I was at 100 already! That isn't too much progress for being here a year, but hey :). Thanks for the grats.

OME - Fairuza Balk - 1 Nicole Kidman - 1
They are both incredibly sexy, but I just saw Eyes Wide Shut and Nicole was looking very good, so she is more heavy in my mind more than Fairuza right now. ;)

962, The overall guitar sound of Kings X is quite like what you have heard however the forte of this band is in the writing and melody particularly in their earliest work, Out Of The Silent Planet and Gretchen Goes To Nebraska, my personal fave.... Good stuff!!! Download "Over my head" for a good example of the bands sound

Matt ahem, well, I have just read a day's posts & was going to answer you but can't remember what it was! Sorrry.
Ovation1, so you are American? Do you like living in Japan?
That old pic of Joe on the back of Anthology is rather coool isn't it? I thought it should have been on the front. A nice bit of colour and all that, because the liner notes are certaintly very colourful & inspirational. Truly magic!!

ovation1 - There are a few cool Joe pics in the anthology release. I thought I mentioned that...but I guess I didn't...LOL.
Doesn't the remastering make the older songs sound wonderful?
mick87 - There aren't any bonus tracks on the Japanese version of Joe's anthology. Mike was just joking...hehe...and I think you're the third person here to fall for it. ;-)
Lyz - Joe references: Clouds Race Across The Sky, wearing all black, Deep Purple, "...SLICKed back with a wet look...", "...eyes were a dark MIDNIGHT blue...", "...dreamt that she was up in the sky..." - Flying In A Blue Dream
The Slick and Midnight ones are a stretch, I know, but hey...LOL.
Cool story. Maybe I'll go back and read the rest when I have some free time.
Happy 100, by the way.
...Austin...
