HI THERE!!!! I'm just here to say that I'm alive!! :)

I didn't have time to read any posts... :( How's everyone? I'm having a lot of stuff to do so I don't have much time to surf the net... and when I have some I just check my e-mail... :/ I'm playing only about 30 minutes of guitar per week... :( and that's on good weeks... :( Well, hope you're all great!

Oh, and I'm hoping to receive an Ibanez electric-acoustic guitar for Xmas! :)))))) I don't know, though.. I'm just hoping. :p

JOE RULES

Keep jamming!

EDIT:

alexandre- How are u man? That's great! I'll check out the site. Sabes se há algum sítio onde eu possa encontrar o satch tapes cá? Um abraço.

Can't wait for the T2J CD! :)

TomSr --- Damn, Rush is touring? Thanks for the info, I've got to look into that...

ThePrez --- In order to write text in bold, you would use pretty much the method you just described, except that you would use 'b' instead of 'bold'. In other words, if you wanted to write Joe Satriani in bold like I just did, you would place it between your controllers like this. (b)Joe Satriani(/b) For the purposes of demonstrating I used parenthesis, but you would use brackets instead. (b) tells the system to start writing anything after it in bold, and (/b) tells the system to shut off bold and begin writing in normal case again.

Called out of work tonight, I feel like pure and unadulterated garbage. Doctor told me I'm running a fever of 101, must have picked up the flu or something, it's had me flat on my back for the last two days and all I want to do is sleep. Doctor perscribed Amoxycillin and I picked up some Robitussin DM. Not many people know this, but Robitussin DM is THE CURE for the common cold! :) So I hope I can kick this by Sunday.

Was listening to "The Journey" today in the car. Don't know why, that song has a strange way of making you feel better in every way, shape, and form...

Take care, all. Hope you're feeling better than I am...

HMMM ok maybe Joe isn't the best choice for president...but at least he's got more honesty in him than Bush does.

JS JS chill out bro, I wasn't mad at all I was trying to clarify my joke, if you like Bush, great - he's not my cup of tea. On another note, you never have to make an excuse to converse with me, I consider all here my friends.

mOBSCENE in case you haven't noticed, I am not the only one here who has ever posted with foul language - at least mine was a quote. If you're going to try and clean up the message board, you've got a lot of asking to do and when you start with a guy who's used foul language in 1 post out of his 400 then you're definitely barking up the wrong tree. As for you're little attention comment - I've never been one to like a lot of attention but if I were going to look for attention, the internet isn't the place...peace.

Everybody Else I'm glad some of you enjoyed my George Carlin joke, but unfortunately, there will be no more of them from me since I didn't realize that someone would actually be offended by it. Have a great day everybody!

nice, Steve should win this one
Do the Stu I will look for you, I havnt watched the second half yet, will do it soon though
Greg M I know what you mean, those liberals are sore losers, not to mention they have bad ideas
Mischievous so what, I have nothing to do besides school and guitar stuff, most of my friends live a ways off and I cant get my license until March
Narface thanks, I love that guitar, hopefully they will show it on the dvd
The Prez nice! Joe is the Lord... of guitar
Sharif sorry, cant tell how people are feeling by tone of voice cause I cant hear it, have to guess; my misunderstanding, yes I like Bush and I dont care if you dont, we are both Satch fans (like I have said a million times cuase its true, I only know a few outside the web) so we should be friends and you can converse with me anytime about anything

Time for a good, wholesome-hearted rant ... mmm... moldy mix... few things better right now than chocolate-peanut butter-powdered sugar chex mix and the internet.
I think someone's comment about The Traveler sparked this - I was driving home, listening to the wonderful Satriani Anthology after having left my boyfriend's house .. my mind floated to Always With Me, Always With You (more or less the LISF version - I love how Joe starts with the arpeggios and it has the sort of sound that is very refreshing... anyone get that? Probably not, maybe it's in my head.. I'm weird..) but Love Thing comes up ... by far, one of my favorites. I think I've rediscovered the meaning of love.... :)

There's a part in the middle of the song... somewhere after two minutes of the Crystal Planet version of Love Thing... the sound that Joe's guitar makes is a sound that ... i think ... encompasses every emotion of Love. It's a high-pitched wah-wah-wahhh sound that sends shivers down my spine and makes me smile every time.
ah well, just thought I'd share that. I wouldn't be eating this yummy Moldy Mix if it weren't for my lovie. :)

962- I found it on the net from an Arlen Roth interview. Also, It wasn't infered that Vai sped it up, it was said that it was sped up in the movie, probably by Walter Hill in post production.

I had guessed it because in the film some of the nylon string stuff sounds tuned up higher, so I figured it was sped up, hence the higher tuning.I don't think that Vai played any of the Nylon string stuff though, so I should probably retract that I thought Vai's stuff was sped up.

Maybe Arlen was confused, and William Kbussifussenger(The classical guitarist) was the one who was sped up.I am positive that Vai's part, I mean the ones that you actually see him play on screen, arent sped up.Mainly because they aren't really all that fast, and I've personally seen and heard Vai play much faster stuffs. All though, they are badly synched up.Like when Vai uses his right hand to mute behind the left hand, and you can hear picking.Lame.
