mischievous - That's part of it... But I think "Satch" is also a nickname someone had from an old television show several years ago...I forget the details, though.
ovation1 - Is that all you want to post about the Tones painting? Hehehe...it sounds like your next sentence would be "...but it's such a boring work of art, I don't understand why you like it!". ;-)
The Farting Gnome - Where did you hear that info about the G3 DVD? A lot of people here have hoped for the same thing, but it's just been wishful thinking.
Luke the Duke - Are you talking about the Grammy Awards? Joe has been nominated about a dozen times, but he's never won.
brotherpitt4ever - Welcome!

Hi all!
Clarky: Have you ever tried flying your tracks from the aw16 into your PC, that your running Cubase on? I find the wave editing power in Cubase is pretty f-ing good. You'll need a good sound card however.
Chris: Sounds great. My buddy, Jason Blake has been using Sonic Foundry and Vegas Pro for quite awhile. He loves them both. I'm using an old Mac G3 for my system. I'm thinking that when it comes time to upgrade, I'll be getting a very beefy PC. They're so much cheaper. I love macs, but the pricing is ridiculous. You hit the nail on the head, finding the warmest mic-pres and sound card is crucial.
and ... yes, Mattias is one crazy, freaky bitch. Blows me away every time I listen to him.
laters... Kell
edits: my spelling and gramar sucks today.

Do the Stu Austin, what do you think about Joe's grammy nominations? I think that he doesnt really care if he wins or not, from what I have seen he just wants to be able to play guitar and make a living. Its like the Oscars. Its the way Nasville rates itself and Oscars are how Hollywood rates itself. Think about it. Who gets to nominate the people? Who also gets to pick the winners. I might not know what Im talking about but as far as I know we dont and we are the ones who should get to. Personally I dont care if Joe wins of not. He is the best either way and I can still listen to him and maybe see him live so I am happy.

Hey, this is my first post!!!!! I have been a Joe fan since the late eighties, seen him in SW Florida on almost all trips. Anyway, I just saw G3 at Ruth Eckert Hall and have 3 questions if anyone can answer......
1. Whats with the Peavey XXX amps, sound great!!! but Peavey!@#!
2. Joe was definitely playing some new guitars, including a blue flame prototype I'm sure...is this something we may see Ibanez release?
3. What was it like touring with Ywngie....weve all heard stories, and his stage 'presence' does nothing to squelch rumours about his ego. I would love to hear perspective on how this expeiience compared to Erics and Kenny Waynes tours per se.
Love the site, Joe....keep rocking man...it's the inspiration!!!!!!

Flarocks cant answer any of your questions but welcome to the site! I am actually a new Satch fan, its been a couple years now and I saw him in Seattle with Steve and Yngwie. It was a great show. You might already know this but Joe's anthology album is out. Its called The Electric Joe Satriani An Anthology. It has a bunch of his old songs and a couple new ones. He also has a new studio album coming out hopefully in spring of '04. Talk to you later.

OCPS470 One thing i liked about the cry baby was that it had the on/off switch under the pedal its self - the Bad Horsie's switch was beside it right?

Aha, so you're also looking at satch.com at quarter to twelve at night, I see, Nick! That really is sad (no wait, I just called myself sad there, oh what the heck!)

JS JS that's quite a depressing post you have there! Cheer up cuz if the end of the world is coming, you can't stop it. I've learned not to worry about the things I can't control. Don't try to be a good person just because God told you that he'd throw you in hell if you weren't. Be a good person because it's the right thing to do. If you're only doing it for your own personal gain (heaven), why would God feel the need to reward you - your actions are only selfish? Makes a pretty interesting logic loop doesn't it? Now that your head is spinning go out and do something good because it makes you feel good! ~sharif

beezer, the bad horsie is switchless. it's spring-loaded, so, when you step on it, it turns on, and when you step off it, it returns.
