I'm listening to EJ / The Electromagnets now. Man...Dry Ice is awesome...I forgot how much I love that song. If you don't have the album, you can buy it for about $9 at CD Universe.

Dave Matthews started his solo tour last night, and his band (including guys like Tim Reynolds and Trey Anastasio) did a cover of Dream Theater's Solitary Shell! No, I'm kidding...but they did do Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill. :-)

You can hear it here. It's fairly simple, but check it out because it's still pretty cool.

If anyone wants to hear a Mars Volta bootleg, check out Sharing The Groove. There's a Bit Torrent going now...my download should finish by midnight, but I'll leave my window open overnight.

kell - That should be "My spelling and GRAMMAR sucks today."...hehe. ;-)

JS JS - You're right, Joe doesn't care about the Grammy Awards. They're kinda similar to the Rolling Stones polls that have been mentioned here in that every now and then someone wins who should never have been nominated. Things like that just make the awards lose all credibility.

I think most award shows (yes SHOWS, not ceremonies...hehe) are pathetic. They basically tell people: "Here, go see this movie/watch this television show/buy this CD because we're telling you it's the best."... I'm depressed by the fact that some people need to be told what to like.

FLAROCKS - Joe will have a custom Peavey amp available in 2004. Ibanez will be releasing a red JS1200 guitar in 2004, but we don't know anything about it.
Narface - What fan site? Are you too embarrassed to share your hobbies with us? ;-)
The Prez - I'm a journalism major.
Greg M - Dream Theater's website works fine for me.

Happy 1k...I thought michelle was going to beat you to it.

Mr Nick - You didn't get anything for being the first to 1k because it wasn't a race. ;-)
Ya Yo Gakk - LOL...I love the octave / October part the most.

...Austin...

Sorry about the muiltiple posts

BeeZer Hey, get a Bad Horsie 2 Wah Wah, a little more money that the Bad Horsie, but 2 has countor wah, you can get a ton of sounds, I higly suggest it! BTW what's up with your GT2, what is it, I may be interested.

Do The Stu[/b http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?sourceid=00398880838058222879&ean=74646492727&bfdate=12-13-2003+20:43:03&bfinfo=m-74646492727

That may of been where Satch got his nickname. What are your plans after college? I'm going for Computer Graphics, maybe I'll spend the rest of my life pasting heads on other people. BTW if you have any ideas let me know, I haven't done one of Stu just because I can't think of anything good to put him on.

mischievous: HAHA!! Awesome man, that was excellently written!!.... As I read it, my voice changed from mine to that guy on the David Letterman show (forget his name), lol, hehe, I'm gonna pre-order mine now!! ;-)

OCPS470: Thank's for the info on your recording setup!!.... I use an old HP Pavilion that I was thinking about modifying someday, and I like the way you set yours up, and if you can record drums like that and not have to screw around getting them to sound right, then that's worth it right there!!.... Beat's playing around with Fruity Loop's, although that works also, for the simple guy like me lol.... Your whole setup costs a fraction of Pro Tools, and I'm sure if PT is like any other MAC operating system, to upgrade you have to basically get a new computer cause the old system wont be capable of handling it.... That's how MAC makes money, their new products never compliment the older operating systems.... So that's how your stuff sounds so professional!!.... Kudos man!!

brotherpitt4ever: Welcome to the Land of Blue Dreams friend!!

One With The Computer: Glad you feeling better bro, and your right man (about time slowing down when your sick), I guess cause it's the only time you get a break from the daily grind, lol, and Satchitussin is priceless!! ;-)

Do The Stu: lol, a simple painting that leaves the mind wondering and pondering, hehe, but I do think the Title matches it perfectly, lol ;-)

FLAROCKS: Welcome to SatchLand, lol!!....

Greg M: WOW, you came outta nowhere with that 1,000th post!!.... Too much time on our hands is us, lol, I just make it a point to check at free times of the day cause I dont like to play catch-up or is that katsup, lol.... Congrats!!.... A prize??.... ;-)

Edit:.... BONGHITS II: A little TMI there, eh??

The Prez: LMAO, btw, is I'm crazy 'bout my baby (And my baby's crazy 'bout me) SATCH's AWMAWY?? lol, haha!! ;-)

/\/\||<E hahaha... hey i am a MAC guy.. you dont really need a new comp to run pro tools, i mean they just released a version for osx and that has been out for a while(osx that is).. personally i use cubase sx and nuendo with a motu 828 mkii, it kills the digi 002. i even still do some of my editing on my old g3, most is on my g4 though both are kinda old but running panther(osx 10.3.2). so you dont really need to upgrade new comps just os's sorta like windows (does anything still run on windows 95?)....

Congrat's michelle on joining the 1,000 club which is kinda like the mile high club, lol!! ;-).... btw, did'nt get to make my mass mailing yesterday cause the papwk. took forever to fill out, lol, but first think Mon. it goes off, and I hope it makes it for Xmas!!....

..../\/\/\R|<.... lol man, I used to have a MAC and it would cost more to upgrade the OS (when I had 8 and wanted to get 9), than to get a new MAC with it already on there, lol, MAC's are superior machines, and are still more plug & play than PC's, but I'm gonna try to do it the cheaper way until I become a pro, lol ;-)....

....BTW, look out World, I'm dancin' nekked.... HAHA!! ;-)

Tastey, Bring Me To Life is a really cool song. I love her voice! I should get that cd, but there seems to be to many on my want list already.

mischievous, at least they stopped asking Joe what friggin' brand of razor he uses to shave his head. Yes, yes, I'm SURE that if I shave my husbands head with the exact same razor brand Joe uses, he'd look JUST like Joe. ha! NOT!

Hope everyone who's feeling sick gets well soon.

962, that would be cool if Joe would answer back!

The Prez thanks for the site

Sharif I know what you mean, I dont worry about the end of the world cause I cant control it and it probably wont happend in my time, if it does oh well. Also, I do try to do the right thing all the time becuase its the right thing and our purpose in most cases is to help on each other (whether you believe that or not) and we all have our own purpose, havnt really found how I am suppoesed to serve if you know what I mean but I'm only 15 so i have time. Are you religous? Just wondering, I am a christian so the end of the world is a good thing for me cuase I will be going to a better place. That is just what I believe by the way, I dont know what you do.

Do the Stu yeah, I agree with you all the way on that, I hate it how people just like what other people tell them or like what everyone else likes. I am one of the only Satch fans in the entire high school and I like being different, they dont know what they are missing. I would actually hate it if everyone was a fan of his. I would just look everyone else and like him cuase hes 'in' or whatever. That would be stupid.

Austin, that's right, the Tones artwork that was referred to was on both the back and inside-front covers. It's pretty cool. I'd like the Ah Via Musicom one too, and the Alien Love Child ~ they are both also by Max Crace. His prints are really nice. Venus Isle is the only Litho you can buy though, it's a damn shame!

did you just say I can get the Electromagnets CD from CD Universe for $9? awesome! cheers man!

mischievous, stick with calling me simon, otherwise I'll get paranoid! hehe. I don't actually know how much the Vai ticket cost cuz my sister bought it, but I'll find out for you if you like?!
Mr Nick, DVD on December 19th? I've seen January 19th on amazon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's wrong. I've got it on pre-order, so I'll get it whenever amazon do!

regards texturing...I think the best example of that drum-beat thing has to be something by Extreme. If you have the 'Pornografitti' or 'III Sides To Every Story' albums, listen to some. Also I guess you could add in some root-note harmonics or feedback harmonics for some chords and rhythm parts, just to accentuate them.

The Farting Gnome, no Joe's friends don't come on here. And Eric Johnson can't, cuz he doesn't have a computer!
BeeZer, as far as wah goes I will always fully-recommend a Morley Bad Horsie Wah. Doesn't have to be a Bad Horsie 2 cuz the first one is fine. It sounds cool, there's no stupid switch, and it's optical so it will last forever.
500-600 quid for an anniversary Jem? hehe, that'd be lucky!
Welcome Sergie! I hope you have heard of your fellow-russian guitarist Igor Belsky?! He rocks!
Spackle, nope. G3 is over. And I doubt if the next tour, whenever that might happen, will come to the UK! sorry!
crushingday62, your thing about Vai saying how reserved classical audiences are.......that got me thinking, am I gonna have to sit down and be quiet, and wear a smart suit and applaud politely when I go see Vai in Amsterdam with the symphonic orchestra? hehe.

I can picture a scene where everyone else is doing that, but I'm yellin out requests like "JUICE! and "come on Steve, play us a bit of Bangkok" or even "hows about the first live rendition of Fuck Yourself?!". and then I'd get chucked out!

Greg M, yeah, I found dreamtheater.net a bit screwed up the other day. it was there, but it was all in black and white!
