I would state in all fairness to Alex Lifeson. I feel the excessive use of force used by the Naples Police on his son Justin, was probably not necessary... As a father it was probably very upsetting for him to see his son shocked by a taser gun. And all Alex was trying to do was come to his son's aid.

And the whole thing quite simply got blown out of proportion...

OVATION - Thanks. Yea well it is the year of the Monkey - maybe it will be the year of Seven Brass Monkeys - who knows! There are plans for Graeme to move here. He is coming in May for a wee survey trip, then Roy and between us we'll work on getting Gavin out. At least Roy and Graeme are keen. I was in Scotland over Christmas and went to watch Graeme playing in one of his bands (a cover band that they iuse to rake in money at Xmas and New Year), it was amazing. Graeme was playing guitar and keys, occasionally at the same time and doing the sound. I wish I had that kind of musical talent.

Gavin is about to tour with a band called Cantrip over here in the US. I warn you, its not rock, nor my taste really, but he loves it.

Martin Furey, is also planning a tour to the northern states in 2004.

SBM isn't dead though and ultimately its what we all want to do.

Mikey, As for Alex and family - man, what a bad trip that must have been! I can imagine that I would get highly combative if I saw an officer getting ready to tase my kid. I think Jason thought he was just having some fun, but as we all know, security doesn't like that at some places. Maybe he was being out of line, but maybe he wasn't? My jaw dropped when they said Alex was 6' 230 lbs. REALLY?? He doesn't look that big at all IMO. Maybe the cops were trying to keep things mild, and when Jason went onstage they blew a fuse. I can see both sides of the story, but honestly, I'm pretty sure my reaction would have been the same as Justin & Alex's. I don't hate cops. They do a job that protects and serves, but I DO hate powertrippers, no matter what their occupation.
