Hey, I just bought the joe satriani 3CD box set (not of this earth/surfing with the alien/the extremist) after hearing surfing with the alien and the summer song round my mate's, and i'd just like to express my awe and admiration for the technical skill and musical genius of the latter two records. My band has been going for about a year now, and cant find a singer, i think after hearing how its done we now have a bit more of a chance of sounding good. I realise you must be fed up of people licking up to you, so sorry about that, and i werent very fond of the first cd, i guess i just didnt get it.

ovation - I'm a big fan of Bonham too.. love the way that even in a ballad he still sounds as though there are bricks strapped to the kick drum foot.. lmao
today I managed mend the tuning problem on my new lo-pro bridge.. and it flutters now too..
anyone out there that's an Ibanez geek... what are the features that distinguish between a lo-pro and an edge..
dck - my top singers
Jon Anderson - Yes
Steve Perry - Journey
David Coverdale - Purple
Robert Plant - Zeps
Ronnie James Dio - Rainbow and Dio
ocps - what do you mean by 'compound radus'
climber - know about the probs fitting in practice... lol..
blues is funny stuff... neither dominated by alternate picking, or non-alt picking, or hammer/slurs... it just seems to me that you do anything that works..
blues just kinda ingores all the rules
962 - I know about how you and many others have a low opinion about yourself... ask yourself this and be honest... are you in a band? if not, are you good enough to be in a band and play in front of people and not screw up too often [and make people enjoy themselves]... if the answer is yes... then you're good and solid... good enough to know that you're good..
yoda - when we get together I'll talk to you about plataeus.. how to defeat them...
slanshroom - thanx.. I'm glad you like it.. The Rape is one of the tracks that is going on the new album....
playing what's in the heart is the only way for me
play every note as if it's your last....

OVATION1 - Thanks dear friend, you rock too :-))!!!!!
R6ROCKER - Yes, TRIP TO KABUL IS AMAZING. In a few days you can buy the new Gonçalo`s cd on Guitar9 ;-). A GREAT RECORD, indeed!!!!!! How are you my friend?
SLANSHROOM - Are you from Barcelona? I was there to see DREAM THEATER in 2002. Wonderful city and Gaudi and Picasso are amazing, eternal painters :-). Do you know Gonçalo`s work? I have all his cds and i saw him 10 times live :-)). Lots of energy and wonderful technic. A great musician!!!!
MOWLIE_2000 - Nice site and great team :-)!! Good luck on stage :-).
FABLAWYER OF SBM - I think that you don`t know Gonçalo`s work. He never signed by Favored Nations. He is Portuguese and a great fighter. He is a wonderful musician and a fabulous guitar player. His website is www.goncalopereira.pt and tell me if you have one of his records. Probably we are not talking about the same person, i guess :-). Regards!!

Aarren, where did you get your shirt? (the one in the photo you linked us to)
Clarky, hehe, the question about being in a band! I always laugh at that one. I have fore-fronted a couple of my own bands and have always got an excellent response, and yeah, people tend to dig what I'm doing. I have a band now, which includes someone i've been mates with for along time, but we can't produce sh*t cause the rest of my band are lazy and whenever we get to practice, they say "I dunno, I can't think of anything. I can't be bothered". This is a real sore point for me some times.
But hey, what did you do when you wanted to find a band that would support you? It seems quite hard finding people who are equally interested in writing something that sounds cool!
I know that I'm not too bad cause I have a sort of a reputation, but I'd like to be so much better, and I always will - I'll never be good enough, that's the philosophy that ought to keep me learning.
welcome back Greg!
Ovation1, have fun with your new Jem dude! How many of the blue ones were made? it wasn't many was it?!
Michelle, hahaha! I'm wetting myself laughing at that "Doctors Foster & Smith kittywalk stroller". haha, my cat would start by dis-owning me if I put her in one of those! It's just so humiliating!
oh and the best part - its 119 bucks! haha, I'd be hard pushed to hand over a fiver, and even then it would only be for the sheer entertainment value!
i have images of the cat chasing it's tail in that stroller, or a fly going in there and the cat going nuts!
happy 1100

TheBob - You're welcome.
Ste 1 - I'm sure Joe will make his way to the UK sometime this year.
juju808 - The DMB's improvisation is awesome...that's probably what I most like about the band. I collect their live shows (I have around 80), and it's fun seeing how things change from night to night.
Have you ever seen the band live? I saw them once last summer, and I'm seeing Dave on his solo tour this Friday.
I don't hate the Chiefs, but I do love the Colts...I'm glad that they won today. ;-)
MLTruePilsner - Yeah, Joe has his own studio (sorta).
frozenflame - It'll probably take you some time to get used to NOTE. It's one of my favorite JS albums. What do you think of Rubina?
michelle - We let it slide when you were a member of the 1k club, but now that you're a 1.1k person you have to learn how to make links work here...hehe. ;-)

slanshroom: lol on those Shaolin monks man, the Chinese are a very strict people in that those particular individuals learn from the time they can walk and practice all day long.... That is their life, lol, and it shows in their Olympic Gymnast's and those act's that tour the World.... Their discipline is un-human, lol ;-).... btw, I like your practice routine, and thank's on the JEM, but I got a prob with it.... Read below....
Fablawyer of SBM: lol Ronnie, you be thinkin' bout the wrong Goncalo bro.... This man is the one we are talking about, lol.... Also, he is'nt signed to Dr. VAI's label.... yet ;-).... btw, Graeme's stuff is real interesting!!.... Nice and trancelike and spacey!!.... Good stuff, the man is very talented!!....
kell: lol, I never thought a guitar could look so good!!.... (btw, read below what I found.... bad new's)
death cube K: lol /\/\/\R|<.... I shoulda known it was too good to be true, but I found a serious flaw with it.... Will post below....
mick87: lol man, my JEM is very sick.... Might have to take the cowbell back, lol, more below....
michelle: Right-on, I know what you mean, hehe, people can get crazy in this place, lol ;-).... btw, ROTFLMAO on that stroller!!.... haha, what will they think of next!!....
Clarky: lol on Bonham, hehe, and glad you got the trem fixed.... I got probs of my own on this here JEM....
MegaBoyd / Greg M: Thank's man, and it does need mega- fixin', lol!!....
alexandrecaetano: Thank you my friend!! :-).... And thank's for that Dr. VAI info!!....
962: I believe they were only made from 91-94....
....Well guys, I was cleaning the git up giving her a once over and I found a crack protruding on the back of the neck where the headstock joins it (Right where the 2 screws hold the nut on).... Two small crack's, one at each hole.... I know the shop does'nt know about it, cause it was a customers guitar.... They were just selling it, and are not as picky as I am, lol.... Gonna take it back to the shop and either get my $$ back or see how much it would cost to fix it.... Is it repairable, or has anyone seen this before??.... New headstock at least :-/.... Serious bummer, but these guy's are kuul and will give me my $$ back if need be, but I'm crushed.... I knew it was too good to be true....

yeah, what is the difference between the JS100 and JS1000 neck? they are both JS guitars and the only difference i notice is the 100 has cheaper hardwear like the trem, the pickups and the tuners etc. but the guitar is the same so would the 100's neck have the same "multi-radius" neck that the 1000 has? and if it is different will someone please explain to me the difference and what is a "multi-radius" neck? all necks have different radiuses from the first fret down to the last one....oh well.
alexandrecaetano hey, yeah i have been learning some new things on the guitar. I'm still kinda stumped on what to learn and how to practice it but i guess when things calm down at school with this stupid senior project thing and i get money again i will go and get lessons which will hopefully let me know what to practice and how to practice, if not...then i'm gonna kick my teacher and come bug everyone at this site, if they are all willing to help me :)
