hellion, sorry dude. I figured you were yanking our collective chain. I don't know to many (err any) kids who get their butts whooped for simply reading what someone else wrote. Especially at age 14! Your dad needs to chill.

Clarky / jazzer13 - ¿Que pasa? In Spanish, you begin questions with an upside-down question mark and end them with a normal question mark.

jelly man - I've been sitting here for a few minutes trying to come up with an American measuring vs. metric measuring joke to explain why I'm faster than you, but my brain is just dead...oh well.
The Prez - If you want to preorder and get the autographed cover(s), you have to place your order through the Sony Music Store. You can only do that online. Look through some of my posts from this weekend to find the links.
Ya Yo Gakk - LOL...how does NFL Street cheat? I love NBA Street (1 and 2). They're fun games...have you played them?
amddata - Vai's For The Love Of God and Satch's Summer Song don't appear on the new G3 releases. They were both played, but they both also appear on the original G3 releases. That's probably why they were excluded.

Because of this, it would have been cool for Joe to maybe play Surfing With The Alien instead of Summer Song on the G3 tour. Everyone knows SWTA just like they know SS, so it would have worked great as a set-closer...AND it could be included on the live releases.

juju808 - I watched football all day yesterday too, but I didn't post anything about it because both of my teams lost. Bah! I like the Patriots though, so I'll be cheering for them in two weeks.

Have fun with school...I'm enjoying my last week of vacation.

When does everyone else start up again?

...Austin...

Ovation1 You posted a message about having weird experiences with people whom you knew that had their kids home schooled. Well I wasn't and it was weird too! Okay I'f you've done looking into you can understand the comparison. Religous and religious/lazy nutcases.

Mormons were founded by Joseph smith So what? The KKK was founded by someone else too! Any ways it doesn't say much about either one in the dictionary except the KKK was formed to resist a certain type of emancipation so what again? These word connections can go on to infinity...

Where was I Ok the KKK wants to adopt a road highway program promoting there name on a banner or something. Really stupid! They obviously are promoting the idea to terminate race employment. Hey just drive on my highway if your white!

Mormons They run alot don't they? Gee did anyone tell them that there prophet is a fake? Around some places a family mormon can get first dibs on a job but when it comes to teaching Highschool they can't teach the scientific discipline on true science. They might as well end up as supervillians in a comic book. They have supernatural powers beware The heros might as well be albert einstein The guy who came up with the Space Hubble telescope and Arnold Swarcheneggar. Asta lovista babey! Talk to the hand! and my other personal favorite I'll be baack!

Tastey Nice to put a face to a name, and nice cat too. Reminds me of 'Dude Where's My Car'............... Smokey McPot - rofl

Clarky lmao last night on BBC 4 they had a prog rock programme and then a prog rock family tree programme, no real suprises for a prog fan but I've never heard Jon Anderson talk back in the early days............. lol, a high pitched squeaky Accrington accent. Some real cool footage of Keith Emmerson in The Nice as well. Keep a look out I should think it will be repeated sometime during the week.

The Sopranos kick ass , started watching the first season on Christmas, now almost on the fourth season, on DVD.

Yeroma - University, you say. Studying what? Well i'll be in that kind of situation next year. I'm still at high school at the moment, only 17 years old. I've got internet restrictions as well.
Anyway, how old are you? Tell me more about yourself. This could be quite good for the both of us, no longer singular ghost but now double ghosts, hehe :-).

HI Joe In Surfing with the Alien (rhythm section) you play a power chord using 'C: on the A string 3rd fret, and 'B' on the D string 8th fret. What exercises did you do to get that stretch, or do I just have small hands?

thanks

Lord Mefra - Joe usually does a gig in The Netherlands when he tours Europe. You'll probably have the chance to see him this summer.

Clarky - To get ¿, hold down ALT, push 168 on the 0-9 number pad on the right of your keyboard, and release ALT. You can type all kinds of weird characters in the same ALT+(something)-ALT fashion. 147 ô is fun to use with the one I just mentioned because Mr. ô¿ô guy is kinda cool. 0222 Þ is another fun one. =Þ

Anyway... Go to START - PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - CHARACTER MAP to find a whole bunch of crazy characters. Click on the ones you like and you'll find the keystroke combinations in the lower left-hand corner of the window.

Since you mentioned Yes...have you seen their Yessymphonic Live In Amsterdam DVD? Wakeman isn't on it, but it still blows Keys To Ascension out of the water.

Ethn Hayabusa - I don't work out, but I know a good schedule is to go to the gym at least three times a week. Work different muscle groups with each visit so your body has time to recover (for an over-simplified example, work lower body on Monday and Friday, and upper body on Wednesday and Saturday). It's also important to mix things up...if you get into a set pattern of x sets of y reps for muscle z, your muscle memory will keep your body from ever building more muscle.

I'm sure Clarky will have more to add to this...

hazza - Ibanez produced a limited edition JS 10th Anniversary chrome guitar a few years back. I forget how many were made, but they show up on Ebay every now and then.

Ethn - yes I work out quite a bit... 3 times per week and I've been doing it for a year... with great improvements to my body shape, strength, fat loss etc...

I don't do suppements or any of that crap.. just normal good food 5 times per day.. I eat 3 moderately sized meals [fresh viggies, red meat only twice per week, careful with fatty foods, not protien or carbs sentric, just a good balance] with two small snacks in between.. one of the snacks is timed to happen one hour before I hit the gym.. within 30 minutes of training I'll have a cereal bar as this helps the body to refuel just a little and repair..

Monday = Shoulders and Arms

Wednesday = Butt and legs

Friday = Chest, back and abs...

keep a training log so that you can monitor what exercises you are doing and how well you are doing them..
mine is like a table with the headings in each column being Exercise, Sets, Reps, Weight and Notes..

If you want to grow you'll need to adopt the idea that "if you can hit 10 reps the weight is too light... if you can't hit 6 reps the weight is too heavy"

Variety is king... for example.. if you are traing the bicep do not use the same exercise every time.. 1st Monday = alt dumbbell curl, 2nd Monday = concentration curl, 3rd Monday = Preacher curl, 4th Monday = barbell curl.. and so on... the same applies to every muscle group... rotate as many different exercises as you can for each muscle group so that it is a good few week before you repeat yourself...

make sure you do some light to moderate aerobic thing [bike, run etc] for 10 mins to warm up.. then 10-15 mins of stretching all over.. then hit the weights.. repeat your warm-up but for half the duration of each to warm-down..

never substitute form for weight.. train hard, make sure you rest 48 hours before training the same muscle group again.. be careful not 'over-train' and run yourself into the ground..

there are normally plently of experienced guys in the gym in addition to the instructors.. talk to them.. most folks are pretty keen to help folks out..
