/\/\||<eY yeah but to be fair to ibanez, i play my jem way more than my joe perry, but i have been playing my jackson lots...(its what i used on waxxx). i have seen a few gibson custom shop peices with warped necks, and that is unacceptable in a $5000+ guitar.

Clarky Faith is as easy as learning your music.........to learn your theory you have faith in it and it works for you, or you make it work for you.......same goes for faith in life.

Sony has added the album artwork to the G3 2003 CD and DVD preorder page. Click here and here. Autographed covers are still available, by the way.

What are everyone's thoughts? I don't like either of the covers...they both look VERY unprofessional. I've seen fan-created artwork (for other bands' live CDs) that looks many times nicer than these G3 covers.

These images are horribly cropped, and no attempt was made to blend the images together (unlike the first G3 cover, even though that one wasn't very good either). It would have been cool to use a jam photo for the cover. If they didn't have one, it would have been easy to fake one during a soundcheck. ::sigh:: Oh well.

Hello.
Master Yoda - Well it all depends on whether you prefer a male shouting or a female screaming hehe :-) Male: Burning Bridges, Female: Wages Of Sin. These are the best two albums, though there has been opposing thoughts on which one is best. But I think they both RULE.

Hey, noticed Satch posted a recent message, very cool.

Terminator 3! No offence, but it sucked big time. It absolutely destroyed the work they created in the second one, finishing it off perfectly. Now they are just dragging it out to try and make a bit more money, disgraceful :-|

ovation - and it's even better if your best pal is a seriously fit chick that can shred like a beast.. and she lets you screw her after some serious jamming....

UTOPIA.... lol

Michelle - haha.. I guess that you could say that I'm souless and spiritually doomed....

so I guess my spiritually can join in with my physically and mentally on the doomed trip.. lmao..

Artanis - yup.. it must have been a momentary lapse in stupidity... time to go back to doing what I do the best...

waffle on and on endlessly about inane bullshit that no one understands or cares about in a futile attempt to appear both sane and intelligent.. when really the sum total of my life experience was gained from watching Simpsons re-runs and reading the backs of Shreddies and Cornflake packets..

One day I may actually achieve the pinacle of my very existance and fulfill my childhood dreams by finally growing up and becoming a spaceman..

mOBSCENE - middle and presence..........

sound is made up of moving waves of air just like waves that ripple on the surface of a pool of water.. if you measure these 'waves' you'll find that they have two main properties... amplitude.. which is how high the waves are.. and frequency... which is how close together the waves are...
a large amplitude means tall waves.. which means 'loud stuff'... so co-respondingly, little waves are quieter..
waves that are far appart are low notes and waves that are close together are high notes... this is measured by the number of wave crests that occur in one second in a metric called Hertz [Hz].. 1Hz means that in a single second, 1 wave went past. The 5th string on your guitar is tuned to the note 'A' below 'middle C'.. if you measure it you'll see that it is 440Hz... The part that makes a guitar sound one way and a trumpet sound different is that if you looked at the waves they create [for the same note] you'd notice that there are other very tiny high frequency waves superimposed on top of the main wave.. these little superimposed waves are called harmonics... the main wave is called the 'fundamental wave'... the trumpet waves would be different to the guitar ones.. and it's thes harmonics that give the characteristic tone to an instrument...

the 'equalisation' [eq] on your amp is designed to look at a specific range of frequencies and boost / reduce them as you turn the knob... the lower range of frequencies are bass [normally 20Hz to 700Hz], the 'middle' is the center of the spectrum of frequencies [700Hz to 4,000Hz <or 4KHz>], treble is the top part of the spectrum [4KHz to 10KHz <10,000Hz>]. Presence is the very high part which is within the range of human hearing but from a pitch point of view, these frequencies are well off of the end of the giutar neck [10KHz to 25KHz] so consider this as a 'high treble' control.

Note that the frequencies that I show for each control I just made up.. so they are not 'absolute' .. just a rough guess.. but they are not miles wide of the mark.. and are good enough to be used to explain this stuff...

A graphic eq is the same as what you have on your amp but with more controls, each having a narrower frequency range [giving you more control over the overall shape of the sound].. think of it like.. lo bass, mid bass, high bass, lo mid, mid, high mid, lo top, mid top, high top, really high top.. as you move up the frequency spectrum...

so all this is about shaping your overall sound to your taste....

climber - I'll measure mine and see.....

ome - faith.. this is something that I can have in people.. animals ... machines.. things I trust and things I dont...

faith in a religious, spiritual or supernatural sense just don't make any sense to me at all... not because I don't understand it or anything like that... the whole thing only seems to makes sense in order to explain the unexplainable... "what is the sun?".. dunno but God put it there to keep as warm, make the day and make things grow... now it is pretty clear that the sun is a middle aged 'yellow' main sequence star that was not put here for the benefit of mankind.. in fact man is here because of the sun.... so as each question gets answered, religion and faith offers answers to a lesser number of unknowns.. in the past [and today I guess].. religion / faith has / is used to dwell upon peoples insecurities in order for the few to control and manipulate the many.. [if you don't do this then you're a heretic.. or you won't get into heaven etc]. given all this... religion in my own mind no longer has a reason to exist...

and if there is a God and I've been wrong all along.. what's he going to do with guys like me... we are not really evil people.. we were just never convinced by the religious marketing that the story was good enough to live our lives by... we simply do not acknowledge the validity of religion to answer the un-answerable.. so we looked elsewhere in an attempt to understand the universe in which we live... nothing sinister or malicious... we just dont believe...

Yoda - yup dude.... we are still on for the Jam...
