Tastey - I gues I can't be completely soulless.. not as a guitarist.. or else I'd be Vinnie Moore.. lol
check your e-mail.. I answered your questions....

kevt - gilmour and say a shit load in a single note.. he is truely awesome.. blows me away and not a shred in sight.. just class, taste and a big heart..
michelle - wow.. sad for me.. ?? ?? I'm actually pretty happy.. and when it's time for me to walk into the light.. it'll most likely be cancelled due to lack of government funding.. lol

"What matters in life is that your a good person, not if you go to church every Sunday or not."

I'll go with that too....

Tastey / Michelle - I think that I am pretty open minded to pretty much most stuff..

I realised that it is possible to walk around on the underside of a ball without falling off.. but only if it has great enough mass.. Ozzies, Kiwis and Afrikaaners do it every day.. so the world is not flat.. if that ain't open minded then what is.. lol..

real mate are always there for each other..
they care.. they listen and they tell the truth...

ovation - but did Kirk ever get off with a shredder chick.. lmao..
phryg - tab dont do it for me either.. if I'm chilling out somewhere and get an idea I'll score it out there and then.. sight read it later and find out if it was a crap idea or not.. lol..
stu - I stand corrected in the face of such a powerful argument..

tab on dude and be awesome to each other... lmao..

the prez - different people write in different ways.. so the is no right or wrong method... if it works for you then you're on to something..

personally I hear the whole thing.. lead giutars.. riifs.. bass .. drums.. keys.. orchestra.. like a hifi in my head.. I then try to write / record / program it before it leaves my head...

962 - I think that organised religions have a shit lot to answer for... I'm not against the thought or need to be religious although it does nothing for me.. it's just the organised stuff I hate.. it's so manufactured...
mick87 - shit.. I cant eat that.. I aint a red nek.. lmao..
ocps - haha.. so the is hope even for a daft fuckwit like me... lol .. woohoo..

greg - you have an interesting point of view... I'll not agrue the toss with you though.. no point.. it makes people fall out.. and pissing off your mates when you dont have to is a sin in my book...
Newsman - roflmao - dude.. it's been a long time.. I thought you was dead.. still pissing of the Japs.. when you comin' home bro...

Clarky, let me rephrase that and say maybe I felt sad for me. It's a long story. No place for it here. Anyways, it's all good. ha! But just for piece of mind...you should always carry a flashlight ;-)

JOE, I love ya! Nice to see some blue in here! Please tell us a bit about the G3 cd & DVD.

Derkwin,

I can't speak for Joe but, I'm not sure he's got time to show you all the "rules of the road". Although, he's the ultimate teacher. My suggestion for you is to get ya hands on a Mel Bay Satriani song book, practice, practice and practice some more, listen until you dream the songs. At this point forget what you've learned and play what you hear in your heart. Joe's a hell of a player, but there can be only one Joe. Be yourself and put it out there. Good luck, twist it 'til 11. B.O.L. (Best Of Luck)

DIGIDUDE - Save the whammy 'fo yo mammy !!!!

P.S. - In all honesty, I may be able to help you. Tell me more about your difficulty in playing.

Clarky I'm not pissed off with you at all (although just remember I never said anything about going to church every Sunday ; ) ) If I was pissed off with you for your ability to have your own opinions which aren't the same as mine, I'd have to be pissed off with around 4 billion people in the world. After all, I'm told to "love my enemies" and you're not an enemy, so I'd better love you extra much lol. Anyway, what I'd like to know is, what are you doing up on T2J at such an unhealthy hour?

Do you know what does piss me off severely? I stay up until stupidly late in the morning doing not one but TWO assignments, one of which is already a day late and one of which is due in in about 12 hours time. Halfway through the second one, which is a writeup of a programme I wrote in C, I try to change the heading I've just written, "debugging the programme" into bold text. Next thing, what do you know, I've got a blue screen of death and have to take the battery out of my laptop to get anything to happen. Are the microsoft programmers having some sort of sadistic joke with me? (Ooh, and if you type microsoft into word, it automatically capitalises the M.) Next scene, it's 10 minutes ago (4.30am) and I get into the computer room to print off the second, now finished, assignment. I put the floppy which I've carried stuff back and forwards on several times today into the machine, and what message do I get? "This disk is not formatted" ABSOLUTELY FRIKKIN' GREAT! I LOVE COMPUTERS SO MUCH NOW!

derkwin - I agree with digidude on that one...
There is only one Joe Satriani. We can't all strive to pick up a guitar and be like him.. yeah, it's a nice thought. I started playing guitar with the notion, "Yeah, I'd like to be as good as him one day." But... when I first got my beloved Squire Strat starter pack from my mommy 4 Christmases ago, I realized... "One of these days, I'm not going to play the guitar like Joe Satriani. I'm going to play the guitar as me - but never forgetting where the inspiration and motivation came from."

Learn. Never stop learning. Explore. Let yourself go entirely. Don't think about how it is that you want to sound, what it is that you've composed - Flow. Let it flow. It's almost a spiritual process where human and instrument bond, and the instrument finally takes over the voice of the human soul......

jazzer13 Great choice for SOTD. I was just jamming out to Pantera now, as a matter of fact.

Stu Clone - There must be a million combinations for those characters I was doing. But heres how to do them: Turn 'Num Lock' on. And when you type, hold 'Alt' and press numbers on the keys at the right end of the keyboard. The combo for the music symbols are: 13 for this: ♪, and 14 for this:♫. Pretty cool, huh? ♪♫KoЯn Rules!♫♪

Line 6-Bleh-I can get the better Vox Valvetronix for less anyways, but I would prefer a straight ahead amp, I think.Modeling amps are still lacking, cant put my finger on what it is.I tried some marshalls this week, and they all suck ass, at least in combo land.

Thanks, for the recommendation though :D

Thanks to all who answered my query. I guess i was a bit ambiguos as i was referring to an amp that would help in playing in gigs.
Another thought, who is ethn. I tried looking in the member list and couldn't find it
:-)

How is everyone today? I might be able to get into a band for the first time soon. A friend has a fairly good local band but they have no rhythm guitarist. Might be my chance.

Joe Satriani - You always ask us fans to choose the set list but i'm just curious what yours would be? What would you consider to be your favourite songs and which ones worked out better than planned? It's all very curious.
