Hello. I gotta question for Joe. I was just reading some of Steve Vai's Journals and he recounts a time when he mooned Joe and his then-girlfriend...it was pretty hilarious to imagine. I'm wondering: Joe, do you remembers this?

Too many posts to read em all................

Bil Welcome back dude, glad your heads on the right place ;-)

Dave Only bent notes ???!!!!! Right, dude progresion no.1, I'm playing it at the moment at 100 bpm and 1 bar per chord but I've got nothing 'different' sounding for the second progression.

Cube That comment from Bil was about your crappy whiskey, which makes your beer look good by comparison ! ;-) My bro has just bought a Line 6 Spider off e bay, I'm looking forward to having a play with it :-)

Plum Loco Agree with you on the tone thing, up to a point. I remember as a young un playing a rehearsal with a sound like a bee in a tin can. Along comes this dude who has been playing a while and rips off 'Black Star' and I wouldn't have known that it was my gear. Another great way to prove this is if you buy a good guitar when you are still learning - my Jem didn't sound like a Jem for a good few years - lol

later peeps ;-)

PHEW!
Hail, Hail Ethn, hehe

Thanks to the response i was just bored when posted that sky question and it actually turned out quite well :-)
Well I clearly got a view of Venus last night with my telescope. It took approximately 30 minutes to find it and then it become out of focus within 10 seconds :-( Also found Saturn and still eye wateringly pleasing.

Anyway, back to school and still waiting for a reply from Uni's.

Song of the weekend: Morrocan Sunset. Amazing

Hey, Another thing.
You want to know what is a fantastic movie? THE ROCK! The one with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery. A work of mastery, i say. This is what a real action movie is like. Well this and the Die Hard Trilogy, of course. :-)

JS JP 41 I've been playing for a long long time... but with lots of long gaps in between too ;-)

young and old stuff... my sister's daughter was listening to Joe while she was still in the womb! I'm serious! She's also a guitar player now :-) In 2002 I took my Mum to see Joe (her second Joe gig)... it was her 72nd birthday :-)

mikesb love that explanation of ZZ's name! Any news on the full interview going online? Maybe Jon Luini has a new site up his sleeve for the new album and he's waiting on that...?

Simon Manzer long time no see! Interesting views on meditation! :-)

Barrie good points there, mate.

Paul except for the odd reference note (an open E or an open A, for example) yes!!! It's quite interesting! You better email me about the chord things... surely the masses don't wanna read about it lol

later folks.. Dave :-)

jelly man Hey, I'm sure I've talked churchy things on here before with you. Remind me, one of the guys you told me of was called Paul, and he's in mountaineering club. I haven't seen him at cu, but there are many different cu events so that's not really surprising. It's so true what you said. One analogy I've heard is that 3 engineers are asked to bridge a chasm. One spends his money he's given building a bridge across 1/4 of the chasm, one builds a bridge across 1/2 of the chasm and one builds one across 3/4 of the chasm. Although some bridges are longer than others, they're all useledd - we can't dig ourselves out of our hole.

Just read some reviews about SWTA and SBM. They basically said that Joe ROCKS, which is SO TRUE. Well, this was on ultimate-guitar.com.
Just thought you'd like to know :-)

Hey all,

hope everyone is doing good

ok so my truck got broken into tonight AGAIN, they busted my door handle, then the window, then proceded to steal my wallet with all my stuff inside, my cell phone, my radio for work, papers, etc.....

I was outside my local mall & just happened to put all my stuff in my truck cause I had to help take down a kiosk (only a one night thing) but I had everything hidden so no one could have known what was in it.

after the police came & documented everything I cleaned everything up & noticed they had broken off part of a screwdriver in the ignition so I coldn't get home at all, so I had to get it towed home

sheesh it hasnt even been a year since it got broken in last time, it is now 4:54 AM here & I have to be at work at 7 am , haha fun, we will see what happens, but anyways stay up peope, joe rules.....................

Joe / anyone, Faced with the following dilemma whilst practising this weekend (learnt "Eugene's Trick Bag" from the Crossroads soundtrack). When and when not to use a pick? Being a classically-taught player, I generally prefer finger-picking. However, there sometimes is no substitute for the speed a plectrum can generate. Problem is, in a lot of the stuff I play, I need to switch very quickly between fingers and plectrum, and currently cannot do this with the smoothness I require. Is there a solution, like a retractable plectrum or something? If not, maybe I should invent one.....

They will get theirs.... ;-)

Quantum - Tubes.........What are the symptoms of your amp??? One thing that I do know is that it is recommended to change your valves every 3-5 years as they do wear out. Even if you dont actually think you need to change them change them anyway and keep the old ones as spares. One thing I would check is that none of them are slightly loose as this can make some fun sounds. Hope that helps.

ovation1 - I did read those articles just for the fun of it and I really couldnt help laughing!!!

WEBMASTER - Is there anyway of putting something on the site to search for your last post so you can carry on reading from that point on??? The reason for this is that I dont always use the same computer and sometimes finding the point where you left off can be quite hard.
