JS JP 41 nice, nice, and nice. thats why I havnt been posting much lately-school! I hate it! I get to post in music class though if I get tired of doing stuff in it which I usually dont. I also dont ever have money, I bought my guitar and amp with birthday money and I got a really good deal, the local music store always has sales and everything is really low priced, its awsome! strings are like $3.50 or $4 instead of $7 (that is just an example, everything is like that) you should at least try to get one post a day in though, if you have to much homework sneak on the internet while at school, thats what I do, if you want to e-mail me sometime (or everyday) at jake_49ers@hotmail.com

Hey Joe, yeah I've been recently starting to listen to a lot of solo guitarist stuff. I went from Steve Vai to Yngwie to now you. You by far are the coolest one. I think your guitar playing is really cool. Bet you get that a lot though. I still find Steve Vai and Yngwie amazing, but I don't know. You seem to find different ways of playing the guitar. Yngwie is purely about speed from what I've heard, and Steve Vai does some really cool things with his sound. You however find different ways of playing the guitar it's really cool, especiallly that two hands on the neck thing. I also know there are other solo guitarists out there, just wanted to compliment you for what you've been doing. I recently picked up a copy of your anthology cd, awesome stuff dude. Keep rocking! \m/

Oh yea, it's amp shopping time! I'm sure most of you would agree, the amp is the biggest factor in your sound perhaps even more than the guitar model. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of good practice amps in the $250-500 price range that don't give you effects other than perhaps reverb. I have a multi-effects processor so why waste money on such features. Anyway if anyone has or has used a nice amp that fits this description I'd like to hear about it. Thanks.

guitarnut777 ~ i bought a gallien krueger backline 100 (100 watt) about 12 years ago (just before gK went strictly bass amps) - i am still amazed with its versatility - there's a clean and distortion channel, a vintage amp sound setting, an effects loop, and a line out for recording. i am still amazed at its no bullshit way of putting out. i see them on ebay for about $250 every once in a while - for practice or recording purposes, and for some great joe-tones, i highly recommend it - to anybody.
i just found this review on the net about it...
"Sound Quality = 10... Holy cow. I mean, what can I say? I've had this amp almost 8 years, and it's by far my *favorite* and most prized piece of guitar equipment. I would be totally lost without it, and I would amputate limbs to replace it if it were lost or stolen."
here's a recording of mine with the gK - being a huge doors fan, i chopped up a bunch of jim morrisons poetry and added keyboard, bass, drums, and guitar over...

dlh - Joe probably won't ever make that kind of instructional video, because he has said that he never liked those videos when he was learning how to play.

Hey "Sach Man". I still haven't herd from you yet. It's cool I know your busy. Anyways I'm still looking foward to take lessons from you, if that is alright with you. Well if this would help I've played our 6-stringed friend for a good 7 or 8 years and I still want to learn more. And I said to myself that it would be a good idea to learn from a person who is known to be a "Guitar God". Well I've seen the G3 concert in Concord and that would be the 2nd time I saw a G3 show at the same place. It was a thrill to see my guitar heros on one stage...

Good Morning All. Due to lack of responsiveness on my question about pick versus fingers yesterday, I decided to answer it myself. Practically speaking, I would need a magnetic ring on my index fingert and a pick with a bit of metal inserted in it which could slide easliy on & off. I should patent that idea before any of you steal it. {b]JS JP 41{/b], one Satch track I would play to introduce someone to him - nobody's mentioned Friends but I find it works quite well in lifting the veil of ignorance which surrounds a lot of my friends' musical tastes

hey Frenchy: people prolly didnt answer cause they didnt know or they agreed with whoever's answer about Johnson's technique.
Satch party song: if itz late already, then awmawy, if itz at the peak of a party, Speed Of Light (next in line, in case i wouldnt have this one: Summer Song, SWTA; next in line after awmawy would be Love Thing).
Slovenia and Portugal for G3!
ciao, .m

And the weather forecast for Scotland today is nice clear sky, sun and temperatures so cold that if you lick your hand you'll stick to it. Oh yes, that cold! FREEZING. So, how's it all going? Js Jp 41 - I would definetely play WAR. Not a lot of people talk about this song but i think it is one of the more rock like songs of Joe. It would easily blow my friends away :-). Master Yoda - Nice site, not bad pics! Need more jokes though, hehe. Also, nice guitar. What kind of music do you guys play? I see there have been attempts for triple posts, but how about quadruple? :-) >eta<
