Hey guys! How's everybody been these past couple of weeks? I finally moved into my new house and everything is going great on this end. Anybody tried out Joe's new Peavey amp or his new Dimarzio PU? I'd love to hear some feedback. Glad to be back.

Hi Joe: As if my stealthy nick name didnt give it away, I am a US Army soldier called to active duty, and serving in Afghanistan since June 2003. I dont go home until March/April 2004...and have no chance to take leave.
I have been jamming to "Strange Beautiful Music", and "Surfing with the Alien" here when I can, to make the time go faster!
We get minimal live entertainment here (7000 soldiers on base) let alone good rock acts... IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY THAT YOU COULD PLAY HERE IN AFGHANISTAN BEFORE I LEAVE ?
It would be great to have you "drop some jaws" of the rock fans on base here! I will hook you up with the Rec director if you can come! It would be great to hear your version of the Star Spangled Banner!
A friend of mine set up this online photo gallery for me...take a look for some cool pics that you wont see on TV!
Thanks for your time, Joe, and hope you can support us troops looking for a morale booster!

Greg M, nice nasty joke! hehe, well done

Clarky, mate there's nothing wrong with a NATO round...was just wondering what you were using it for! hehe. That said, I do prefer the 50 cal of an Enfield AWM50 - Artic Warfare, it's the most ridiculously frightfull long-rifle on the planet! trust me, I used to be into this stuff when I was 'just a teenager'!
using a guitar as a midi controller would be interesting - I wonder what it would do with changing harmonics?! And dive-bombs - oh the hours of fun you could have making Cubase confuse itself!
I'm most disappointed to have gotten an e-mail from amazon about my pre-ordered Vai DVD. They said that the studio has pushed back the release date to February 2nd. Not F*ck*n funny - I want this DVD. I don't see why it has to wait. I guess maybe they have to figure out the PAL format/region 2....something like that
hazza, to elaborate on what Austin said, Ibanez made 500 JS10th's, and they turn up mostly on ebay. about 3-3.5 grand (dollars) is only to be expected as an asking price.

stringG: Oh wow, Joe really played around with studio trickery and effects to get some of the more odd tones on EOC. I know there is a Whammy being used, an Octave Pedal?? Other than that I'm sure some regular on here knows the exact setup he used.
TASTEY: Did I miss a pic of you on here or something?? Everyone's all stirred up I wanna see! lol....

PhryDom - I'm waiting for a song called "...more on this later!". Joe's been dropping us hints about that one for YEARS. Hehehe...sorry, Joe. ;-)
TASTEY - I can't get the photos on your website to work...can you email me one of you? Click here if you want to see a picture of me and Joe from a few years ago.
Whoever runs foreverjoe.com - It's not very cool of you to host MP3s of Slick and The Eight Steps on your site when the songs are commercially available. Hosting Talk To Me is one thing (because it isn't commercially available), but this is something else all together.
stringG - For the most part, I think Joe used his regular pedals while recording EOC. Eric Caudieux is responsible for using Pro Tools and other programs to create a lot of the "different" effects that you hear.
Fretslayer - Happy 200!

JS_JS: Hey thanks for the "Happy 200" About that 9v, that's a really good question. I used the wrong kind of adapter on my Vai Bad Horsie pedal, and it sounded like it was going to explode or something! I don't think it will ruin it, but if it makes any harsh noises, don't use it.
StringG: Thanks as well for the happy 200!
TASTEY: Thanks for the link, hey nice pic of you and Mark Slaughter!! That rules!!
