alexandre Have a great birthday man! And thank you for all the neverending positive energy you bring to this site!

trutina Welcome back (again), I've missed your quotes! :)

I don't have a quote of the day, but I'll give you these bloopers instead: 'Nigeria is by far the black sheep of the tournament.' (Rob Bailey, BBC5 during olympic soccer in Atlanta 1996)

'I'm gonna start boxing again as soon as I've recovered from my HIV. I'm counting on eight months from now.' (Pro boxer Tommy Morrison)

'The most sensitive spot for a goalie is between his legs.' (Andy Gray, Sky Sport)

Happy Birthday Alex!!!!

962 seve? who the hell is Seve?? lmao...

welcome back Trutina and hey, cool songs too!!!

Question for Joe ...I read once somewhere, you were talking about songwriting.....and you said..(not quoting here) that once you had the melody going in your head, you would then choose which scales to use and then which of the 4 fingerings of that scale to obtain the best tone ...(i suppose).. now, being a beginning player...just what do you mean by "4 fingerings of a scale?".... I'm somewhat confused by that statement..

JS_JSCool site, LOTR is cool. BTW Mr T is gonna win, he's helluva tough and I can't get it on the Mr T VS Everything Site if I do. http://www.sit.wisc.edu/~kljense3/MrTvs.html

Master Yoda/or any Tap Experts I don't know how well you can tap, but how can you make the sound coem out better, like in eruption. The problem may be I have a 12 gauge and the G string may be "Too Thick" because the song is hard to get out of the tapped not, go just a couple of frets tapping and you really can't tell the difference

Flameboy6600

Welcome, are you new to the site? No one has complained to me about double posting

JS_JP

Yes EVH does the Eruption solo,

Silly Sauron... too bad he had all that power and lost. Gollum always cracked me up when he fought with himself. Oh, and that guy who runs off the castle in Gondor, I didn't get that. I understood that he was on fire, but there was a pond right there.

the prez Yeah I am new to the site! Well one guy complained about my double posting then started the whole vote thing... lol.

Multiple posts can be annoying sometimes, but in the past two days we've also had just as many posts that say "multiple posts suck". It was only one day...just let it go. If things get crazy like that again, then we probably need to do something about it. Until then, oh well.

I'd hate to see some people stop posting because they're afraid of being chewed out.

962 - This is a random comment, but I can't believe that you've only been here for a year. It seems much longer than that. I can't believe you've only made about 300 posts, as well.

Flameboy6600 - G3 stuff will be released next month. Joe's next studio album will be released a few months after that.
Sammy Andrews - I'm just guessing here, but maybe Joe is referring to different ways to play a scale (2, 3, or 4 notes per string, etc.). The 8th fret of the 6th string is the same note as the 3rd fret of the 5th string, for example.
JS JP 41 - Yahoo's email service is pretty good.

Eruption is an EVH solo which appears on the first VH album.

juju808 - LOL! Five is the only cosmic number in Spanish? That's kinda cool...thanks for sharing.

I had no idea your math class was THAT boring. ;-)

...Austin...

jazzer13------ I'm new to this message thing. I just saw your posting 1/7. I'm glad to hear that you are also passionate of the Traveler -SBM as I am. It stirs my soul !You are fortunate to have the talent to play that song. I wish I could. Not all have the gift, not all are on the same level. However there are those of us who are just as pasionate about music as "the players".I only wonder if when you play a song does it feel the same as it does for me? I was high for 3 weeks after my 1st G-3 show. Music is my passion. Thanks Joe!

michelle-----Yes Joe's magic is Beautiful and I still listen to it everyday. I'm under his spell ! You mentioned Dave LaRue, I saw him with Steve Morse and the Dreggs this past summer. Nice guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Stone Pony! I was able to see them in 3 states. NJ, PA and Fla. after not having been to a concert in 20 years, I'm catching up!

js jp- the multiple posts thing really isn't being aimed at you, i think most of us are guilty of it in some way...

i don't want people to get yelled at, flamed or any kind of abuse whatsoever, whether they post millions of times in a day or not... i just think it would be great if we could in general respect all the users of the room- those who post often and those who don't.
