mick87 Yes, Beck is absolutely amazing. Good luck with your exams. I had one last wednesday, one last friday (these were both uni ones and the fri one caused me to miss seeing DT), an A level resit paper yesterday, a piece of uni coursework due in today (I missed the deadline so I'll get 10% knocked off for handing it in tomorrow) and another one due in tomorrow!

Greg M - Dude, you put things very nicely mate... so much bad crap has happened over the years, by both believers and nonbelievers that makes things harder for a lot of people to accept God. He's given us the choice on how to run our lives, and even if we choose not to follow, and (to quote my Pastor) when "shit happens", he's there for us. And like you say, all you gotta do is ask, no matter what you've done.

Ok, I'm done rambling... lol...

Edit: and thanks again! Good luck with your work too.

Newsman

Such hostility.

A true Christian is not going to shove thier beliefs at you. They are just going to express themselves and if you want to hear it, fine, if not, you dont have to listen. There is freedom of speech in this country and on this board. You dont have to slap down someone else for not believing the same thing you do.

Hey all, more work on the new album, we're hoping to have it done in the next month or so, with a tour to follow. Also, praise the lord!

okay, maybe it wouldn't really be like that, and it would probably be funnier, but it would be interesting ;)

Frenchy Du Rock - Your Penguin link doesn't work...can you try to post it again?

Can you explain to me why you think Terminator 3 shows how desperate California is for money? I think I know where you're going, but it doesn't make sense.

The Prez - I looked around and couldn't find a phone number to call to place orders. Sorry.

You don't have WinZip? Download it!

You should buy ZZ Top's greatest hits album that came out a few years ago...great stuff!

I can get through a few of the easier Stu Hamm songs, but I don't have a way to record them. Oh well.

bluebuffalo9 - Crushing Day wasn't played at the shows that were recorded.
roland2112 - In the specific case of ESPN, I don't think Joe was ever paid for the use of his music. I think he politely complained, which caused ESPN to stop using his stuff and use music from a session guitarist instead.

When Joe's music is played as background music on the radio, it's no different from a radio station playing it as a "song". The station pays royalties to Sony.

NewsMan - Go away. You don't contribute anything positive to this community. I've told you that before.

If you want to join in and share your opinions on a regular basis, you're more than welcome to. I'll be the first person here to ask you about Joe's music. If you're only going to come on here once a month to criticize people, though, do us all a favor and just stay away.

I don't agree with Clarky's views on religion, but I'm glad that he can speak his mind here. I agree with Greg M, and I'm glad that he can speak his mind here too. No one here is shoving beliefs down anyone else's throat.

And now for a few random things...

- How did I discover Satch? I bought the original G3 album because I liked Eric Johnson.

- Even though I'm very disappointed with the G3 2003 artwork, I'm still glad that the CD and DVD are going to be released only about three months after the tour ended. I just thought I'd point that out.

- I went to Wal-Mart today...I think it was the first time I've been there since I stopped working there back in August. There was this one guy who worked on the truck crew back then who I absolutely could not stand to be around. I never heard him say anything nice to anyone. He would always have something negative to say about me and my work.

Today I saw him walk into the store when I was in the checkout line. He was pushing carts...hehe. That really made me smile...this guy now has one of the lowest jobs in the store.

Hey there Joe! Just wanted to say fantastic job to you and your crew for making another world class G3 tour! It's always a pleasure to see you and your guests up there jammin away. It's always a great source of inspiration for me. I just wanted to know how you feel about playing the Warner Theater in Washington DC? That is such a great and beautiful venue to see shows in. I live in Maryland and that is where I saw the show. I have heard you speak of it only briefly so I just wondered what your thoughts were on it and when you might be back in the Maryland / DC area? Also, If I may suggest...Have yourself or your tour manager check the Rams Head tavern in Annapolis. I saw Steve Morse there and I can't describe how great that show was. Not only for the talent of the band but also for the setting you are placed in when watching performers there. It may be a little small but you can't beat the intimate setting of how close you feel to the performer you are watching. Thanks again for all you have done for us guitar fanatics and hope to see you and your band soon! Cheers!
