can anyone tell me which tremolo satriani uses? Is it the EDGE bridge like in the JS Series from Ibanez? Or the new ZR tremolo?

because it hase to be veeery resistent to strain, since the guitar doesn't get out of tune.

TomSr, hopefully it's a lot of news hype and it won't be so bad. We all know how they like to blow things out of proportion. Just take your time and make sure you leave plenty of space between you & the car in front of you. Good luck! 60 miles every day?? whoa!!

Stacy, I haven't been paying a lot of attention to the weather, just hearing what's on the local news. I'm getting cabin fever, so the less I know, the better. lol! Sorry your tape is inaudible. Sounds kinda shifty to me. She should have listened to it before she sent it out to make sure it was o.k. You should get your tape money back if she doesn't have a better copy.

Abducted, greetings! Yeah my big dream is to work as a music-man all my life as well, and to visit Russia! I envy you, you have a beautiful country! Have you heard of your fellow-russian guitarist Igor Belsky? If not, you should check him out, he's really awesome, and has a lot of "Joe influence" in him!

Hey Bil, good to see you around mate!
Anybody else seen The Last Samurai? I watched it yesterday, it's really good, and hats off to Tom Cruise, he's very good in it. There were some amazingly scripted sequences, it's a great movie. I can't wait for the DVD, it's a necessity for my collection!
Jommi, yeah the audience love Stuart. They love him so much that they yell "STUUUUUUUUU" a lot, but without any explanation available, it is easily mistaken for "booooooo". "It's STU not BOO"
zonin, I think people tend to get more excited when news becomes more official - when Joe releases a news message about it on the site then no doubt people will talk!
aaah how sweet, I love the explanation of the name "A Train Of Angels". And the others too, but particularly that one.
Heavymetalthunder, Joe taught Steve
Ovation1, happy 1500 dude!
MegaBoyd, theft is disgraceful. I hate it with a passion, and I think there are few things lower in society than thieves. Some half-assed excuse for a person couldn't be bothered to put any effort into their own survival, so they decided to bust into your truck and take the things that you worked hard for? that's pathetic.

Sorry to hear that dude, I hope you got your cards stopped and your stuff insured and everything. You should get your truck rigged with an elctric grid.......that'd give them a nasty surprise.

Frenchy Du Rock, you need to use the hibrid technique. Eric Johnson uses it all the time, and it employs both a plectrum and finger-picking with 3 fingers. Websites or books or an Eric Johnson tutorial video will usually have a fairly good explanation of hibrid picking.
Lykos, no I believe Joe is still on the old (last year's type) Lo-Pro trem. The ZR is only available on selected prestige S series guitars....I haven't tried one yet but I want to, it looks great. No more worn-out knife edge. I just wonder if Ibanez have managed to get the stability right - I should think it's pretty damn good!

jelly man I go to a pretty large anglican church (St Michael le Belfry) which is literally next to the huge cathedral which absolutely dwarfs it making it seem small sometimes, but they have 3 services, although there are some other, smaller churches pretty nearby which they probably go to. I'll watch out, anyway.

ovation Happy 1500 /\/\ike!

Ovation....the big 1-5-0-0.....congrats !!

zonin.....I'm a big time Hendrix fan but I kind of burnt myself out on his music. I still listen to him occasionally and actually I have been playing a lot of his stuff in a live setting. My favorite J.H. tune to play live is...."The Wind Cries Mary"

TASTEY.....that's cool....I grew up in Framingham, MA and lived there until I moved away 12 years ago. This may sound a bit strange but I have stipulated that when I eventually depart this planet, I wish to have my ashes brought to (the top of) Mt. Washington and thrown into the wind. I fell in love with the White Mountains when I was a kid.

Peace, D@ve

s1220: the knife edges one Ibanez trems (even the Edge trems) wear quickly, because Ibanez uses pot metal under the plating. That's why I decided to switch to the Floyd Pro trem, because the trem is made of solid steel that is heavily plated. Don't get me wrong, the Edge bridges are supposed to be one of the best for tunning stability, but even those are made of soft pot metal in the inside.

Alright everyone. Time for a quiz...

You're at a party and want to show your friends, who have never heard of Satch, one song that you consider the best of Satch. What do you choose?

(note: all any or some other retarded thing you think is funny doesn't count!)

js jp 41: depends on who they are. are they emotional? then Rubina or Love Thing. In the middle? Always With me Always With you. Or do they just want to hear some cool guitar? can't answer that one right now.

Good point, Tastey. What the point of the question was that I was wondering what people would use most often to introduce Satch. Another way to phrase it would be like, What's your fave song but the first question stimulates the mind a little more

962 Yea. I saw The Last Samurai in early December. It was really good I thought. I thought TC did a good job and apparently he has gotten right into Japanese culture since the movie. However, Sato, my japanese girlfriend kept laughing at his accent. She said he took some shortcuts on the words - i.e. spoke them in a way that mas not the most common way, but easier and shorter to say. She enjoyed it too though.

MegaBoyd I hate those thieving bastards. When it happened to me it felt weird being in the car and I was imagining the wee buggers rifling through stuff. Also annoying that your cards etc were stolen - with identity theft becoming HUGE these days, make sure everything is cancelled\changed. You can also add your accounts to the fraud prevention list if you decide to keep them open.

Joe How the hell are you? Hope things are going well for you and yours.

Ovation1 Just a Hello Mikey. Yea - I'm in a cheerful mood - leaving my office for home! Yeaaahhh.

Here - anybody been watching VH1's bands reunited? Its great. Shame Holly Johnson wouldn't do the gig but maybe one day. Funny seeing A flock of seaguls and all those "pop stars" that were so famous. You just wouldn't recognise too many of them - so normal with normal jobs etc. I mean - the drummer dude from FofS working in QA of a plastics company in NC! Funny how life is. Just wish I could share the full gammit of experiences in life that these people have.

All the best. I'm off home :o)

Ronnie
