JS_JS actually when I first registered into the site I had seen your name on here before. I was waiting for my parents permission and when I put my name in I was hoping people wouldn't mistake me for you!

Mick87 --- That has got to be some of the best acoustic guitar playing I've ever heard. That stuff sounded like it had drums in it! :)
How is everybody here tonight?

Mick87 - I've seen that video before. Guy sounds like he's playing bass! lol I love the tapping he does as well.
jazzer 13 - Pantera is no more. Phil is busy with Superjoint Ritual and Dime and Vinnie have made a new band. Their album New Found Power should be out soon.

4,370 posts since I was last here? This might take a minute.....
First off, many many thanks to Austin for telling everyone "Hi" for me, and to everyone here who checked on me, sent well wishes, cards, and good vibes. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this place kicks more ass than....well something that kicks quite a bit of ass. Like a nuclear warhead, but quite a bit more kind. I just got home from Tennessee this evening and have all sorts of things to catch up on. My family is nine kinds of pissed off at me for taking off for a month and I've got to start my new job next week so though my time is limited, I'll be poking my head in from time to time. Assuming I don't go to jail for killing my niece who was house sitting for me and completely folded up my computer. My buddylist is folded, my hard drive full of some pop music nonsense, not to mention the house is all folded up too. Dead fish in the half filled aquariums with clogged filters, more dirty dishes than I even knew I owned, a phone bill for one month that is more than I normally pay in a year, stains on my pool table and an empty liquor cabinet (r6rocker: Yes, she even drank all of my Canadian shit LMAO!) Healthwise, nothing much to report. Haven't been to see any doctors since before Christmas (they tend to get a lil pissed off when you tell them to fuck off) but after much deliberation (and blackmail from my girlfriend) I'm going in for an MRI and loads of other fun stuff next week. Since we were in Tennessee, I was trying to get her to marry me (drive thru wedding for $79 sounded like the most romantic thing in the world to me lol) but she resisted. Something about not wanting to marry someone who, because he's bullheaded and refusing medical treatment would be making her a widow before the first anniversary. I calmly explained that if we got married and I underwent treatment that there would be a chance I might recover and end up having to spend the rest of my much longer life with her. Somehow she failed to see the humor in all of that. So now I'm going back to the quacks. Also, I'll get back on the CD project very soon, within a week or two, too much stuff to catch up on at the moment, but it will be a priority very soon, I promise. Thanks for everyone's patience on this and thanks again to everyone. It'll be nice to be back in here with the Satch family again.

JS JP 41 Do you know JS_JS in real life? Like in person?
ANyone check out Vai's acoustic model, supposed to come out later this year, a vai signature model, it's green, so it's offbeat just from the look of it.
Does anyone have any joe autographs or posters there trying to get rid off? Unlikely but I was just wondering.
I'm still getting angry over my Crystal Planet Transcription book, I can't keep it open! I'm going to buy one of those digital music stands so I can play with a footpetal to swich the pages.

alexandrecaetano: Again, congrat's my friend, to all you guy's!!.... Your hard work and passion have paid off, and Gonçalo will be heard by millions!! :-).... I have Luis Moreno's site saved also, and he is amazing!!.... That's kuul you got to meet him and the drummer!!.... Stay kuul my friend, and enjoy the trip to Lisbon :-)....
btw, I've heard the name Sensei Funakoshi, he is famous
in Shotokan, which is a style from "Mainland" Japan :-).... I used to take Shorin-Ryu and Uechi-Ryu, one a speed style and the other power.... Naha is our capital city, and I live in Okinawa City, North of Naha.... Yes, we have beautiful beaches, but there is also a large tourist presence and hotels, so we go to the more secluded ones :-).... Champuru is delicious and great for you, I love it!! :-).... It is nice to know we both live in Paradise, lol, we have many things in common!!
Óbidos Lagoon is beautiful!!.... I love Portugal's rich culture too, and I can hear it in Gonçalo' music!! :-)
The Prez: From what I gather reading the article, that Ultra Zone Guitar is playable (has pup's in it), and it was the only one made in the World and debuted at NAMM last year.... I'm sure it will stay the only one made, and I wonder if Steve wont play it on stage someday.... Of course, hell have to make a getup to match it (like the cover of The Ultra Zone, lol),
and that guitar would sell for over 5 grand easy....
mick87: lol man, great story there, I'll bet that story is similar to what Dr. VAI has racked up on his shelf to release at a later date, lol!!.... Great concept, and I'd love to watch the movie, hehe ;-)
You should check out the Kiyoshi Nagata Ensemble (there are lot's of them w/ different names), and they are fun to watch!!.... There are usually a goup of people in front w/ small taiko drums and they start the beat (sitting down), and in the background are the larger taiko and the players are standing up.... In the rear are the huge taiko and it is on a stand held by it's shell and the guy's pound those standing up and swinging over their head!!.... It takes lot's of stamina to do that and they play for a long time in that position.... Great stuff, lemme' know if you go....Oh, and thank's for the link to Scott Landers, and Justin King is superhuman, lol!!!!....
zonin: Wow, that would be kuul, JOE play's Hendrix with Jimi's band!!....
Clarky: I can picture Dr. VAI playing that with the Ultra Zone getup and all, lol!!....
....Welcome back Bil!!.... Glad you came home (ya, yer home there too, hehe), and I'm glad your getting back into the swing of things!!.... We're pulling for ya, and I hope they are easy on ya with the treatment, THAT is your FIRST priority man, F the T2J project right now, get yourself squared away first!! :-) Keep us posted, and stop by when you can.... Godspeed dude!! :-)....
