Trutina - You Dawggg!! Congrats man!

Cube - Awesome, JB won! And it's not too cold right now... was windy as hell though! How about Manitoba?

Ovation - lol man... I wonder if MJ actually has any of those net-trapper guns....

oh most likely ;-)...

erhem... night time! That's when I close my eyes and get to be a Viking and astronaut at the same time and rescue various supermodels from remote tropical islands... lol... *pooched*

Night all.

Juju - actually Frank Sinatra does the trick for me too. He's just so cool... or was at least.

mari, Champagne? lol! Sorry - Satch pun there. I don't drink much champagne, but I could learn. lmao! I'm a member of the Mum club. Twice! lol! What exactly is the Mumm club? lol!

SupaaDave, woohoo! Congrats to you too! It's hard to quit, so you should be very proud of yourself.

julie, I agree! That "I dont want to be your boyfriend anymore" line dropped my jaw too. lmao! I really hope Bil was talking fast so she didn't have to much time to react. ha! ha! I get goosebumps thinking about how wonderful the next line must have sounded. How gad damn sweet is that!?!?!! GOOSEBUMPS i tell ya! lmao!!

mick, doesn't that astronaut suit get hot with all those Viking furs over it on a tropical island? You prolly pick up a good stink before you even get to the models... lmao!! pooched indeed!

So what does everyone think of the Grammy show this year. I'm diggin' the way they've blended bands this year. I muted it during Cristina Hagulairas song, but I still had to change the channel. I couldn't even stand to watch her. I missed Celine too :) Awww hey, there's OZZY!! Ahh, God Bless him! He and Sharon just presented an award to Warren Zevon's son Jacob for Warrens last cd. Very cool!

Joeman9 - The "text" is whatever you want the link to say. For example, "this link" is the text in this link. If you just want the clickable text to be the web address itself, put (link) and (/link) before and after the web address. If you want the clickable text to say something else (like in my "this link" example above), do it like this:

(linkurl="http://www.google.com/")this link(/link)

You have to type it using []s instead of ()s. I just used ()s for an example. If I type it the correct way, all of the code won't show up in this post.

trutina - Congratulations! That's awesome, man!!! It was pretty gutsy, too...I don't know if I'd be able to pull off the emotional switch like that. Good job... ;-) When's the wedding?
ovation1 - Yeah, I'm being picky, but it should be protons and electrons, not protons and neutrons. ;-)
juju808 - I can't write a review of The Simpsons until I get to watch the episode. :-) It doesn't come on here for another ten minutes.

I'm not expecting much...it's going to be one of those three-in-one non-Halloween throwaway episodes that show that the writers have run out of ideas. I'll post a review later tonight, though.

By the way, have you had a chance yet to listen to those CDs that I sent you? Several of the songs repeat from show to show, so they probably won't help get you out of your musical rut...but I thought I'd ask.

ovation1-Thank you for the NAMM link bro. Very Cool!

Jazz Man- Sounds like you got the same problem with Vai as I have with Malmsteen. I find that if I don't listen to Yngwie his playing doesn't bother me at all. Opinions are like assholes everybody has one.

Joeman9- good joke dude...

TheBob- I agree with you on GARY HOEY for G3. I don't know Gary personally but I did speak with him once and he is a huge fan of Joe's music and I'm sure he would be honored to tour with Joe and Steve on a G3 tour.

/\/\||<ey i never said he was not talented.. but the HD award , was mostly because he was a high profile former student.. but they also gave one to bb king..mostly because of what he had accomplished...any award like that to a famous person is a way of drawing attention to thier school... but oh well i did not get one so perhaps i am jealous........either way i have all of the cd's except for the box set because i think that is a scam...
mick87 i am happy jb won a grammy.....its a balmy -2 here today..
michelle i feel bad for Ozzy these days.. i really like him..he is a funny guy.. he looked well..considering his accident.. the only problem i had was too much beyonce and out cast other than that prince rocked..

oh man... i can't believe i almost forgot to tell everyone this!

this afternoon at lunch, got a sandwich... ordered a half sandwich, but the lady started making a full one on accident... then she saw on my order that it was supposed to be half, was like "oops," and then just folded it on top of itself. INSTANT SUPER STACKER!

beneficial mistakes rule.

re-halved whole sandwiches for G3

I guess the greatest rubbish of the year was today's grammy. How wierd. I could go on about how much I hate the grammy's for institutionalizing what music should be like. Metallica wins for St.Anger. I am bothered when I shouldnt be.

Tonight's episode of The Simpsons isn't worth mentioning, but I said in my other post that I'd mention it...so I guess I have to. ;-) It was pretty crummy...I give it a 6.5 out of 10. Marge's intro story absolutely sucked...bleh. It would have been cool if there was a Rick Wakeman joke during the Henry VIII bit, but there wasn't. Oh well.

I can't believe the weekend is already over. I haven't done any of my homework yet...I suck.

jelly man - Hi. We haven't met yet. Where are you from and how old are you? Some people here seem at first to be older than they really are :-) I'm having a bad day, knock on effect from yesterday and i'm sitting around aty school. Just thought i'd try and get to know all the other Satch fans out there.

Edit: changed my set list and, oh yeah, it RULES. The hardest part is trying to fit only 32 of Satch's songs. NOT ENOUGH :-)

Master Yoda - Right, what were those picking exercises you were on about, keeping it simple :-) I can play Tears In The Rain with my fingers but that's all i can play with my fingers. I can kinda play with only my thumb but that is just bad practice, lol. Any advice to improve my picking or pick using?

eta - Firstly, using your thumb is not "bad practice". Look at Mark Knopfler. Its just a different sound/technique. To improve your picking and fretting hand coordination, try taking the following finger pattern to every positionon all strings - 1, 2, 3, 4. Then, go through the 23 other variations on this fingering (you can work them out systematically - I won't type them here).Once you can do this comfortably at a reasonable tempos, put the finger patterns on to the neck in a diagonal fashion. For example, your first finger could be on the first fret on the low E string, your second finger on the second fret of theA string, your third finger on the third fret of the D string, and your fourth finger on the fourth fret of the G string. When you're playing these, use strict alternate picking (down, up, down, up) otherwise it misses the point. Then try the same thing, but skipping strings. Don't forget to use a metronome/drum machine!!! That sould be enough to be getting on with for now...

Austin-I know you have said it before, but you DO have a wierd scale for rating things... I thought the Simpsons sucked so bad last night that I changed the channel to watch Youve Got Mail... How bad is that?!? lol... I have listened to about half of the cds you sent, (I consider listening at least a couple of run throughs, so that I get a good judgement) While I think so far they are pretty cool, and a bit different than I expected, it very much makes me wish that the summmer concert season were upon us! lol... I will still have to give you a better description later....

JazzMan- If you know that the grammys are going to upset you because of the current trends in the music industry, why do you watch them? I love music, but dont agree with them at all, so I refuse to watch until I have my own grammy awards to hand out as I choose... :)

Well, Hope all in Satchland have a good morning...

ocps470 Hi hows it going? been away. I have tried out both pickups in my guitar but as of yet am still collecting funds (no money!) but however im going with the paf pro (n) and fred (b) it goes really tight and sounds sweet, really brings out the qualities in the mahogany.

everyone fender or gibson? and tele or strat, sg or les paul?

dck, Prince did rock, didn't he! lol! I love to watch him perform. He's a cool little mofo and he kicks ass on guitar IMO. lol! I thought Beyonce was pretty good in that act - kinda reminded me of Tina Turner back in the day, but then she got to much airtime after that. I thought Sting & Sean Paul were pretty cool doing Roxanne. I love throwing a Jamaican vibe into music. Yah mon, das coo now. lol! Ozzy did look pretty good. He looked happy & clear-minded. I hope he has a 100% recovery, and they put the quack doctor who had him taking all those meds before his crash out of buisness.

Happy Monday peepole!
