TheA - I wouldn't say that Scottish people have great accents. Really when your around the people with really strong Scots accent you get really p*ss*d off with them, lol. No, i'm half French so my accent is a bit skew-wiff. As far as i'm aware we have not spoken yet, well we have now ;-) So Isreal heh. Is there many followers there? Well anyway. Oh, how old are you? I been trying to find that out about several people, you know for some find of reference.

Hi everyone, Just to let you know that I’ve done a major feature (about 20 pages) on shred guitarists for the March issue of Record Collector magazine (London), with interviews with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and John Petrucci, plus a long and very funny one with Yngwie Malmsteen. There’s also a major discog. on him, plus mini ones for nine other artists featured (Satch, Vai, Chris Impelliteri, David Chastain, Steve Morse, Eric Johnson, Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine and Paul Gilbert). The issue (due out on 19 Feb.) also has features on Hendrix and the Darkness. Metal-tastic! Copies can be ordered via janice.mayne@metropolis.co.uk or janice on 00 44 0870 732 8080. Cheers, Tim Jones Record Collector magazine

Thanks for replying Jon... I remain in hope ;-)

michelle I am very truly unreservedly sorry for having an opinion and voicing it. Next time I feel like doing something like that I'll run it by you first so you can tell me what to write.

Time to keep away from here, methinks... it's all becoming increasingly like it has been before... and it's no fun. Friends turning on friends, people calling each other names, etc.

Wow Joe... I just listened to your Live Cover of the Neal Young classic... (Being Canadian & All) As much as I love Neal's one note solo in that tune, I hope you beefed up & blistered them like a twisted train wreck? LOL

Off to see Nickelback tonight... Free tickets... can't complain...

2 TON TESSIE: So you're from Jacsksonville home of conservative freaks and fred durst. I guess they use the strap on you quiet a bit for the jackass you are. Sorry dude, I aint gonna participate in your sickening Steve Vai fantasies. EEWW !

Ethn: Listen, If I ask someone not to come here, I cannot control it. If it offends you so much, dont read it or just dont come to this website. And my mom never giving me enough hugs, you should watch your mouth and dont speak a word mentioning my mother or parents. You dont know them and seriously have no right whatsoever. Its none of your business.

Any one know a tab website with the Black Sabbath song "Turn Up The Night" on?

The song kicks so much ass and the intro sounds a tiny bit like that of "Surfing With The Alien".

What you guys think of Toni Iommi?

TheA - I'm 17, 18 in two months :-) So do you play any instrument or are you one of those guys who wish they could, lol. No offence. Cause the best way to really appreciate Satch's music is to attempt to play it. Not like I can, lol.

YaYo, lol! A pms guitar would have to be able to take more of a beating than Clarky gives his guitars. I'd say it would also have to smell like lavendar oil (to relax us) and have a heated body to use as a belly warmer to ease cramps. LMAO! Wonder if prs could make one like that? lol!

julie, feel free to use my post in future "Tales of the Beast" stories with your friends. LOL!

Austin, will you ever understand Shelspeak? lol! Aerosmith and Jackyl were at the Hershey Stadium for the GAG tour. Megadeth was at the Hershey Arena - possible the Criptic Writings tour (with COC, which I didn't mention in my previous post). I was trying to get the point across that both of the venues in Hershey kinda suck, and those were the shows I had seen at each of them. Hey, my husband has known me for 20 years and he still gives me the same look your giving the screen now. lmao!! Oh, and the only thing that's flawed with my kick in the nuts theory was that I left out wearing steel-tips ;-) Shelspeak - the gift of writing fragmented thoughts that only I can understand - and I'm sooo good at it :)

Davey, you made your statement, I made mine. Ain't no big thang. Don't get that upset because one person disagreed with what you said. Your right, you do have an opinion. You stated yours. I stated mine. So it's over. Today's a new day. Yesterday was yesterday. Clog on brutha.

The Attitude Song - great pick of the day jazzer!! lol!

I must apologize to all T2Jers. I usually don't use any vulgarity on the web because you can never tell who's little eyes might be watching so, I'm sorry about the distasteful comments. I'm sure I could have made my point without them.

I was feeling a little too loose last night as I'm taking prescription pain medication and had more than my share of wine at dinner.

The distasteful comments will be omitted.

Jazz Man- I did not intend to offend you dude. It was a joke. BTW I'm a Democrat who will be voting for PRESIDENT KERRY and I can't stand Fred Durst!

Put your nickname back on your post dude, you got nothing to be ashamed of. Jazz Man belongs here as much as anybody else. Peace bro.

And remember. "KEEP IT ON THE SUNNYSIDE OF LIFE"

phrydom...can you get a few more vai dvds from america? the dvds been delayed here in the uk again and we could make a good profit on selling them to students here at the acm :) txt me with an answer..sice i probably wont see this place for another week and a bit.

clarky....about our jam...the hand position you said...it has changed the way i play in a way...and looking at the vai dvd...i see he does that too most of the time. and practising timing has improved my playing too in terms of speed..playing the Amaj 3 note per string...in 4ths..8ths..triplets and 16ths at increasing speeds...

2 Ton, I don't know that song, but I do know this one ~~~

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad, Other things just make you swear and curse, When you're chewing your life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle, And this'll help things turn out for the best, And..... Always look on the bright side of life. [whistling] Always look on the light side of life. [whistling] If life seems jolly rotten, There's something you've forgotten, And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps, Don't be silly chumps. Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing. And... Always look on the bright side of life. [whistling] Always look on the right side of life, [whistling] For life is quite absurd And death's the final word. You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin. Give the audience a grin. Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow. So,... Always look on the bright side of death, [whistling] Just before you draw your terminal breath. [whistling] Life's a piece of shit, When you look at it. Life's a laugh and death's a joke. It's true. You'll see it's all a show. Keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And... Always look on the bright side of life. [whistling] Always look on the right side of life. [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling]

One thought about jazzman posts :

I really love this place. I mean, satriani.com (and more especially T2J) is in my opinion the best place on the internet network. Everybody here is so cool and it's very hard to meet so much nice guys on only one website! You know, I'm quite new (since oct'03 I think) but I NEVER EVER saw someone like jazzman before (and I hope I won't)... Nobody here is aggressive but jazzman calls Tastey dumb. That really sucks! :-(

I Hope we will never see him again...

Oh by the way Happy 400 Tastey!!

Don't have the time to read all the posts... I have to work now!!! But I wanted to give my opinion before :-) Cheers!

It has been a few years since I have been here, under another name, moving around and all. Being an old timer and a complete guitar fan, I have come to the conclusion over the years that there are opinions based on if one plays an instrument or simply plays the radio. You will get two entirely different perspectives on this comparison.

As for who is the best guitar player, my experience is their isn't a greatest or best. Not in the human realm of judging anyway. Only GOD could say for sure. In our reality however we can only truly say who our favorites are. In my younger days my favorite player was Edward Van Halen. He was the player who influenced me to play the guitar, so I converted from the drums. Yes I go back that far. Other favorites include Randy Rhodes (Ozzy), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), the Young brothers (ACDC). As time went on newer players emerged. Joe, Steve, Yngwie, and Zakk. They are all on my favorites list. There are many other players that I like to hear, but are not necessarily my favorite players.

As of now I find Joe stimulates my need to play, more than my other favorite players. I would love to see Edward Van Halen participate in a G3 event. That would be the greatest show for me, to see my first favorite player perform with my current list-topping favorite, Joe.

Remember fellow string benders, music has flavors just like ice cream, and I love ice cream, but that doesn’t mean I like my ice cream to taste like coffee.
