Joeman9 lol Dude! What else do you got?

I first heard of Yngwie in the 90's, but I didn't take it upon myself to check his stuff out until 2001. But even then I didn't really take to it. But now I must admit I am being heavily influenced by him. But, the only problem I have with Yngwie is that he can be an asshole. Otherwise, I totally respect the guy.

Jazz Man- All joking aside you gotta come back man! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time "I guess they use the strap on on you quiet a bit for the jackass you are" you are hilarious.

Do you play guitar?

I've got a little studio in a spare bedroom that I barely use. I've got all this recording equipment that I've always dreamed of and now I ain't doing squat with it.

I just recently sold off some old amps and preamps and stuff I wasn't using on eBay including a Ibanez JS-100 and bought a Guild JF-30 12 string acoustic and a Washburn WD-46S acoustic.

My main guitar is a '89 Gibson SG '62 reissue and I also have a '67 Gibson "Blue Ridge" acoustic. My rig is a Digitech 2112 pre through a Mesa Boogie Simul-Stereo 395 power amp and a Crate stereo cab loaded with 75 watt Celestions.

Matt Martinez and everyone else

All right here is another joke.

Jim and Tim set up a bungee jumping biz down in Mexico. After being greeted by locals they learned that no one had heard of bungee jumping before. They gave a little demonstration. Jim set it up, and Tim jumped. Once back up, Jim noticed Tim had small cuts, bruises and drops of blood on him. Tim goes again and comes back worse. So Jim stops him and says "Hey what's going on, you're all messed up and bloody. Is the rope too long?" "No,"replies Tim."It's the crowd. Now what's a pinata?"

Joeman, here's my fav part of Honor Thy Father - The first time I heard it, I was like "no shit! LaBrie just pulled the words right from my gut" With the heavy crunching riff behind it, it seriously kicked my butt! I played it for my sister, and she said "I gotta have that!" lol!

On and on and on and on it goes And with every passing day true colors show

How can you ever sleep a wink at night Pretending that everything is alright And have the balls to blame this mess on me

Never in my life have I seen someone Oblivious to the damage he has done You're the rotted root in the family tree

Good stuff!!

Sharif, I haven't listened to that one in a while. I can't even remember what's on it. Maybe I'll play that tomorrow too. Megadeth Wednesday!! lol!

Mikey, a Fjui Film moment? Is that a distant cousin to Fuji Film?? LMAO!! I always prefer Fuji to Kodak anyway! lol!

Oh, I changed the lyrics to my scream at random nursery rhyme . I went from yelling "I'm a little tea pot" to the more Christmasy "I'm a little tree top" to the slightly insane "I'm a little pee spot". Just yell it at random times when nobody is expecting it. It makes people wonder, which is never a bad thing :) Always good to keep 'em guessing. lol! I am one wacky broad! lmao!!! Feel free to add your lyrics to mine! LOL!!

Regards to sabath tab: try powertabs.net, they have loads of quality tab there (and a lot of crap) so you should have a good chance of finding it.

edit: Iommi is kick ass, at true pioneer of modern guitar

Ovation1: Cheers man! What sort of stuff you into? How long have you been in the land of the rising sun?

achoo: Mustain is a very solid rhythm guitarist, technique accuracy and speed are the attributes that stand out most. He lacked a lot of feeling or emotion in his playing until Cryptic Writings though.

SHE WOLF live on the Rude Awakening dvd rules!!!!

To the cat saying Mr. Vai has no talent I think you should stop mouthing off & find a place somewhere else & let this site be. This is a serious place where people enjoy real music & good times with one another. I cannot stand ignorant people like you & I do not think Mr. Satriani would either get a life dude "Slick"

Cube-I have almost bought that album but I heard it, and it sucks.Except Ron Thal, of course, he rules.

Yeah, Boyd has seen Joe a ton.Its pretty funny, when we met Joe last time, He treated Boyd like his next door neighbor, lol.

It was kinda bizarre, because my Dad met Joe in Hawaii a few years ago, and they talked for a while, and Boyd has met Joe several Times, I have met him about 4-5 times, and so forth and so on.Its like that C.G Jung thing, "Synchronicity"

When our whole group was together, I think Joe must have been a little amused when he exclaimed "Whoa, you're all here!"

The idea that Joe, Steve, Yngwie, Eddie and any others that this may apply, are the fury in guitar playing today, is a correct summation. Seeing any one of them in concert is like knowing what it would have been like to see Niccolo Paganini back in his day. If he were alive today we would possibly be posting on his web site. Just a thought.

eta - You don't need to shoot for perfect pitch or anything, but train your ear to recognise intervals, tonalities (major or minor), extensions, etc. It'll really help - I promise. :-)

Narface - He was Italian and he played the viloin pretty well. :-P

Narface: go to [link url="http://www.paganini.com/nicolo/nicindex.htm"] for a classical style history leason on nicolo. Pretty spun out that he composed his first sonata at age 8!

Malmsteen tanscribed nicolo's 5th caprice to guitar as part of his wild stringdom column in Guitar World magazine
