I heard once that putting your lottery ticket next to a stereo speaker and blasting it with your favourite song gives it more luck.
Dunno how that works, but I forgot to do it today and I didn't win...so next week I'm blasting it.

Hi everyone... I used my wonderful website-creating abilities to throw together a quick page for the Satch song tournament... I'll add spiffy colors and stuff later, but go here to see it now:
http://www.csulb.edu/~alewis4/index2.html
You can go to the "results" page if you want to see what the 64 pairs of songs look like. I made the bracket with a random number generator...so you can't complain! ;-)
I'm including all of the songs from Joe's catalog that are listed on this site. I'm also including Talk To Me, The Power Cosmic, and Silent Night / Holy Night Jam. I uploaded MP3s of the first two songs to my wonderful website, because they aren't available commercially (Jon or Joe, if this is a problem just let me know). Download the songs if you aren't familiar with them. I didn't upload an MP3 of SN / HNJ because the album is still available for purchase.
Don't vote on anything yet...I'll announce the first section of picks on Monday. :-)
drunkenmaster99 - Hi! Welcome to the site. Joe should make his way to the UK sometime this year.
captain diddley - Eric had to wear those headphones because he suffers from tinnitus.
shreddster - Welcome!

Joeman9: LOL badluck man. I'm sure you'll get to see Joe sometime.
I've never seen Joe sadly. Maybe one I will be able to. :)
Also I've just finished learning scales, I'm going through them smoothly now, so thanx to everyone who helped me.

Man I envy everyone who got to go the G3 concerts( any of 'em) Because Joe, Steve, and whoever they bring are bound to be great together!
U F Dean I just looked at the pix at your site and man that was awesome! The three-neck that Steve plays, G3 Jammin' together... Oh man it must have been pure energy and adrenaline! Satch's famous crossover, it's just insane!
Although it seems Yngwie's gained a lot of weight since the "Yngwie Malmsteen Collection"...=-)

[b] Satch hey I was wanderin if one you could give me some pointers and two when the next G3 is cause I caught the last one and honestly just blew the $#!+ out of me .Now the pointers the solo in A W M A W Y cause Ive tried it at least a million freakin times literally and still can't get it down everything else is pie for me.Oh and what's your best song best being favorite.Oh and one other thing before I go could you send me like tips via e-mail on how to play better than what I do because everytime I start one song I always tend to fall into another one and if I do stay on the same song I normally quit about half way into it or right after I start and it really just pisses me off how that happens and I want to frickin quit it. Plus what do you think of Black Sabbath?

I just bought Steve Vai's "Live at the Astoria London" and all I can say is wow. He is one of the best performers I've ever seen. Plus I love how him, MacAlpine and Wiener make full advantage of three guitars. I love the bit where Vai and MacAlpine are playing on eachothers guitars whilst going 'round in Circles.

ovation1 - Yeah... I had a feeling that Summer Song would go a LONG way in the tournament, possibly even winning it all. There are only a few songs that have a chance of beating it, and I'd say TMPHGT is one of them. I did everything with a random number generator...it's funny that those songs ended up going against each other in the first round.
I also think it's funny that spot 1 is empty. That's how the random numbers came up, though...haha.
JS JS - We won't start voting until Monday. I'll post a message here with the first few choices.
Fretslayer - Sorry for not getting back to you...I'm behind on my email. I think my original description of the contest may have confused you... I'm not doing a contest for T2Jers and their music. The contest is for T2Jers to vote on their favorite Satch songs, in the end determining what T2J's favorite Satch song is. Does that make sense? Sorry for the confusion...
