Stu NOT BOO Clone: What Steve Morse/ Satch Jam are you refering to? Can I get it on video or DVD? They are both such awesome dudes! I have had the pleasure of being just a few feet from greatness! Image that! I have met Steve several times over the years, and he is the real deal! He would be so great for G-3! I hope Joe would consider him! Steve Morse for G3-04 or G3-05! He is a most amazing human being!

Joeman9, LMAO!!! Oooooo, scary spider cat! rotf!!!

Benny, I'm not checking out aaaaany more spiders tonight. I gotta go to bed soon, and I'm all willied out! *shiver* Here's what I think are the same spiders that freak me out here in PA - http://www.srv.net/~dkv/hobospider/yellosac.html

Mari, you should rent or buy Tommy and check it out again. What a trippy movie! We'll meet up some day :) Next show for me will probably be DT.

Sammy, I think all that snow is going to blow by us tonight. South and east of here is going to get it worse than we are, and nicer weather is coming! YIPEE!

death cube K: That axe was made for some country musician, can't remember his name, from Brooks and Dunn I think. Not sure if it was Brooks or Dunn, but it must be one of the two I guess lol. I'm not into country, but the lil lady is and the tv seems to be tuned to CMT a lil more often than I'm used to. It's all good as long as it's on mute, some pretty nice eye candy in some of the vids, kinda like a down home version of hair band videos lol.

I've skimmed thru most of the posts, and had things to say about a lot of them but seem to have forgotten them by now lol. Sorry to all, probably some earth shattering, future changing ideas just got flushed down the toilet. And clogged it all up. Dammit. On the subject of spiders, I dig the lil guys. I don't hang out with them or anything, but I generally go out of my way to make sure they're safe in my home. I have maybe five spiders (that I see anyway) in the house, and in the time I've lived here have never once seen any other kind of bug in here so I figure they're earning their keep. I'd like to build a bat house out in the back yard to cut down on the nighttime bugs in the summertime, but I think my neighbors would flip out. Maybe I'll buy a big bug zapper and put it next to the back fence to draw bugs to the neighbor's yard (the one that calls the cops every time I decide to play Mustaine like riffs at 4am).

Let's see, what else is new? My dog is rather pissed at me. I went to give him a piece of bologna and saw that it was just starting to turn green so I threw it away right in front of him. Poor guy was looking at me like, "WTF was that, Dad!" I gave him a piece of bread to at least hook him up with something and he just set it down at my feet, sat down looking at me for a few seconds and then walked away.

I haven't been able to do much as far as recording lately. The steroids I'm on are really starting to mess with me. Interesting fact: If you take steroids and don't work out, your fat will turn hard. I swear it. I've still got a bit of a beer gut, but it's rock solid lol! So anyway, I can still play a little bit and have been learning a few basics that I should have learned years ago. There's these nifty little guitar lessons on the InDemand feature on my cable system. They're free so I figured why not watch them. Kinda cool, being that they're free and all. Would have hated to pay for them though lol. But I did manage to get a new/old song up on my soundclick page. It's an improvised bit I did maybe two or three months ago called Wednesday Morning Jam. I thought about making it into a proper song, but it has that first take magic thing going for it, and since it's probably going to be awhile before I can play that well again anyway I'll just leave it as is for now. Anyway, check it out here.

Yoda/Plum Loco: Could you guys post the links to your tunes again for me? Sorry, I know I'm being lazy, but I want to check them out.

It's been awhile since I've busted out any Carlin quips, so here's one for old times sake: "Masturbation is not illegal, but if it were, people would probably take the law into their own hands."

And the obligatory quote of the day: "The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense." Tom Clancy

Edit: Link fix

Edit II: Clarky: I would have named that chord "George".

Edit III: (I'm goin to bed after this one dammit) Jazzy Boy: I kinda agree with you on them not really being metal. Vai has had some metalish songs but if I were describing him to someone I don't think I'd put him in that genre. I don't really care much for subdividing genres anyway. It limits the open view the artist is entitled to. Some people may prefer to be thought of as strictly metal, or blues, or country, or what have you, but I don't think I'd like to characterized that way and have to assume a lot of other artists wouldn't either. But that's really not relevant to the poll you were referring to as it was a list of "Metal Guitarists". You don't happen to have a link to the list do you? I'm sure there are plenty of others that don't belong either. I'd like to check it out.

Artanis I - You don't know whether or not I'm fudging the numbers. ;-) All I can say is that I'm not.

I am doing the tournament in a big power of two (128). I'm just breaking it up into smaller sections now so people don't go crazy from 64 picks at once.

The Prez - I know of Jake E. Lee through his work with Ozzy Osbourne. I liked his guitar work then, but I was really into Ozzy before I became a Satch fan...so I didn't have anyone to compare Jake to (other than Randy and Zakk, and I don't think he's better than either of them)... It's about time for me to give Bark At The Moon another listen...
marimariSRV - The Steve Morse / Joe Satriani jam took place at the 2/11 Deep Purple gig. I posted pictures earlier today.
michelle - I'm making a mental note to find pictures of spiders, only to post them here as links with titles like "Cool Joe pics!" just to screw with your head and give you nightmares...hehe.
trutina - LOL...stop messin' with your dog's head...that's horrible! ;-)

Michelle: Hi Miche! I can't believe I've been away this long, how are you? I just saw your Nascar post, when I was in New York in November they had one of the new cars under wraps for a press shoot and we hung on for ages to see what it looked but they took ages and had to leave. BTW is MattKing about? still haven't heard from him for ages...What's all this spider thing going on? :-)

Clarky: haha, lol man, everyone else has Our Blood but you!!.... I need to send you some more stuff anyway, btw, you need any picks??.... I could add some Dr. VAI's in there for ya with the cd....

Jazzy_Boy: hehe, good man.... You stated your piece and I stated mine.... And I still say Dr. VAI play's Metal.. He even said so on the Live At The Astoria dvd, hehe ;-) Now, that is not all he plays, but it can be added to your list IMO.... Oh, btw, Kill The Guy With The Ball and Bad Horsie are incredible moshing songs!!

Do The Stu: Thanks for posting those pics!!....

marimariSRV: haha, lol, Jon writes to everyone.... Now when JOE writes to ya, that's when we all do the We are not worthy ;-).... btw, I am a big fan of Indigenous!!.... Great bluesy stuff and very SRV-like it's uncanny!!.... Have fun at the show....

....Good to see ya Bil, and give your dog a nice ham sandwich for us, lol.... ;-)....

Keep It Looped For G3!! ;-)
