his latest post... i imagine it will be "edited to nothing" before long...

Hey Joe, how can you keep playing Satch Boogie over and over, Doesn't it make you want to puke!Do you remember your unplugged performance? When you butchered "May this be love"??And got smoked by SRV!Funny what happens when you take away amps and pedals! Are you guys going to keep ruining the Hendrix songs at G3's?I wish you would stop it! You and Steve cant improvise very well during those Jams, and its kind of a shame when nobody's like me can blow you away at jams.Stick with your note for note stuff you have practicing for years! This message was for Joe, I dont want to hear about it from anyone else, unless you are game enough to say it to my face in person.Which can be arranged.

EDIT i put the quote in italics

So much negativity from one person lol.

Anyway its none of ma business all I'm going to say is if you don't like Joe's music don't come on his site asking how he can't be sick of playing it. Thats your one opinion, look at the number of members there are on this site, nearly 100,000. Thats how many people and more will disagree with you and your attitude to Joe's music and instruments.

Begging for no more negativity on the board.

i think most people here are honest about how they feel, as are you zach it seems. everyone has their own opinions, but that post to joe you just did didnt seem like an opinion, you basically trashed him on his own site which is totally wacked. i dont know what kind of person would do that, someone without a consceince(sp?)? and no this isnt a personal attack on you, i just wanted to let you know how i felt about what you said....i dont know you, so i really dont care, but i think its rude to trash someone in their own "house".

newsman,

who has zach ever attacked without reason? i can say with certainty that i wouldn't be misrepresenting t2j by saying many of us think zach is one kickass dude. stop being a jackass.

edit: never mind that edit!

Thanks Graham, I was just pointing out an observation about hard wood. Then Newsman started in on me for no reason and I have never said one word to him before. About Joe playing the same songs I have heard many T2Jers say the same thing. I still like a lot of Joe's music, but I sure couldnt listen to Satch Boogie one more time. I get a little tired of people hiding behind their computers.

Woohoo! I got my newsletter. Now that some album info is "out there", I guess I'll post a few things Joe said in the chat last night (even though we already know some of them).

- the album will be released in the US on 4/13
- the album has eleven tracks
- he wouldn't tell me the album's name yesterday, but it was mentioned in the newsletter today (Is there love in space?)

I really, really, REALLY like that title. I can't wait to hear what everything sounds like...

Joe - Thanks for stopping by the chat last night. It was fun... :-)

canchito - You can find Turkey Man on Joe's Additional Creations. AC is no longer available in stores...look for it on Ebay.
death cube K - Email me to remind me about the Jeff Beck / White Stripes MP3s... I can't send them now because I think I remember some of the MP3s being mislabeled...I'll fix the mistakes before I send 'em your way. But yeah...email me.
ovation1 - I don't know FOR SURE that people throw Joe's promo CDs away, but I'm sure it happens. I know Sony / Epic sends out a lot of promo CDs, and I know that there aren't many radio stations that actually play instrumental rock. ::sigh::
SupaaDave - I didn't get your picks...send them again, please.
juju808 - I'd love to help you out, but I've never heard that song...haha. Sorry. ;-)
stringG - Don't blame me...everything was random. :-)
michelle - Have you ever described your house on here before, or posted pictures of it? I ask because the picture in my head of what your house must look like (from your basement-flooding posts and other stuff) is almost exactly what you just described. Weird, huh?

I know I have that picture of your cat, but that doesn't show much of your house. Hmmm... ::cue Twilight Zone theme::

Cyber Alien - Your post did work...three times! Hehehe...
962 - Welcome back! I'd love to hear details of your trip, whenever you get the time. It's too bad that you got rained on Wednesday...that's the first time it's rained here in quite a while.

I started a Joe Satriani song tournament here earlier this week (as something fun to pass time here). It's similar to the song polls Ethn used to do here, but all the songs are laid out in a 128-space bracket. It's a single-elimination tournament, and in a few weeks we'll be able to see what T2J's favorite song is (by adding everyone's votes together). Does that make sense? I'll post a link later so you can join the voting...

...Austin...

Zachary: I dunno if you said before you made guitars or serviced them or something like that but thats when you said the wood used for even the most expensive Ibanez bodies was cheap, since you have knowledge of guitar bodies and woods, what guitars in your opinions have got good bodies, as I am looking to purchase my 3rd guitar this year.?

Clarky - Lmao... I don't think that'll happen until a condom company gets interested in making jack sockets... lol...

Michelle - Popsicle Peggy... that's good, lol. I'm not sure how it happened, but when she was young she just couldn't walk without collapsing. Haha, I think you'd fit in well with the folk in St. John's NFLD... plus there are cool spots to kayak at... with seals, whales, and icebergs ;-)... I need to go there too.

Ovation - I remember you posted a link to that online radiostation, live365 I think... they are playing awesome stuff on the guitar one! Just had some Yngwie and Dr. Vai, and now it's got some Bretty Garsed from his Big Sky album now!

Alexandre - Listened to Groovy Movie again today... that tune is cool man! Very Groovy indeed!

Narface: I personally looked at a Mustang when I was going to get my new car, and after looking at the specs, I wouldn't spend the money unless you get a GT. Just my personal opinion.
Tastey: I live with 2 other people but have my own room in a college apt. My room has its own bathroom attached, so that takes up an entire wall and my window takes up most of the other one. That being said, I have some end tables set up on the left side with my shot glass collection and books, a futon on the back wall with my bed on the right. My computer desk is also on the right, but I usually use the coffee table in my room to mess around on my laptop and watch tv. On the walls, I have 4 of my guitars, 2 pictures of my family, 2 pics from Mexico, and a few music posters (2 Bob Marley and 2 Jazz). I also usually leave my acoustic lying on the futon so that I can just pick it up and play when I feel like it. And sadly enough, I don't really like Toxic, but I can deal with it.
Jazzy Boy: personally I think Vai could do metal, but from what he's put out, he's definitely not. I agree about the 2 bands that should kill themselves...I mean retire ;)
DelfinoPie: that was me that wanted the link to your site. I'll be checking it out more this weekend. Thanks!
Alexandre: Dude, I had no choice BUT to like your music haha. Oxala que tudo seja bem com voce. Um grande abraco.
Artanis: Hell yeah! Tolkien rocks! I'm in the middle of the 2nd LOTR book right now and will be getting all the others after I finish ROTK (including Silmarrilion, etc.)
Dammit I missed a chat with Satch! AHHHHHHH! OK I feel better now.
michelle with a lowercase m: YJM remembers all those notes because it's the same 5 or 6 licks that he's been playing for years ;)
Anuj: Ed Roman does the same thing with Dean Guitars...the guy's a piece of trash.

Delfino, I think that there are a lot of good guitars being made. I was just pointing out an observation. I have heard a lot of Ibanez guitars that I thought sounded good. But the denser your hardwood is the more sustain and tone will be projected. I prefer guitars with transparent paint so I can see the quality of the wood. Lesser wood is usually used on guitars that will have opaque finish. The weight of the wood will also tell you of it's quality. Hope this helps, good luck.
