hello joe...i've attended every show you performed in vegas for the last 6 or so years, including g3's and i have a question...with the massive amounts of tunes you have to choose from, is it possible on your next tour with the new album in april, that you can play some of the many other tunes you havent played before? it would give your audience something new to see you play and im sure, make playing them more rewarding for you and the bandmates. not to rag, but i've heard many of the same tunes over and over...and over. just a thought...also, back when u did the g3 with KWS, a freind of mine gave you and steve some hand made round glass fused items, yours was the surfing with aliens theme, what ever happened to that, do you have that on display in your home? she has since moved to oregon and still listens to your music daily. is there a way to get a picture of how you have it displayed? she has asked about it several times...ok, thats it for now and thanks for the excellent music you continue to put out for us fans....

Delfino, I think that is a very nice looking guitar. And I am sure it will sound great. How much is it? My gripe was not with lower priced Ibanez, I expect guitars that cost under $1000 to be made out of cheaper materials. But $1500-2000+ guitars should be made out of better hardwood then what I burn in my fireplace. You pay for what you get in most cases, although I have seen good luck and bad luck in that respect.

Jazzy_Boy: *sigh*.... Metal??.... Guardian Of The Blind are Metal.... Pantera.... Now.... That is Metal my friend.... Metallica used to be good 10 yrs ago.... Putting them in that group is an insult.... btw, 2 units from our squadron are there in Iraq now.... More will be going as the Marines are switching out with the Army (whom some have been there the whole time!!).... And my cousin was on the first resuce mission's that launched out of there.... He loves his duty there.... btw2, I wish JOE would finally win something!!.... hehe....

UF Dean: Totally agree. Vai has the potential of playing metal, but he doesnt. And thats fine as long as he can do what he likes best. BB King can play death metal if he feels like it, and so can anyone.

mahogony is generally a good wood. it's kinda of the "median" of brightness and sustain vs. not too heavy, i suppose you could say.

hey all I read that joe's alum is coming out 4/13 well I bought guitar world today the April 04 issue with page and perry on the cover and there's an ad with the g3 stuff and it says:

Zachary: I completely understand your point now. I too would expect better quality wood for a product that I would've spent like Ģ1500+ on. That guitar on the site I showed you is around Ģ280. Looks nice though, its just something to take to college with me and practice on during my free periods. Thanks for checking it out tho/ :)

I am sure they wouldnt lie about that one.Did the Jem get done yet?What gauge strings do you use?I just bought my most expensive guitar ever today! 5k and my wife didnt even kill me! It was one of Danny Gatton's personal Tele's.He sold Mike Stern, Big Bad Buch's old Tele! It is on its way from Nashville, it should be here Sat.! I will send some pics of it when it arrives.

As far as Vai goes, you're right potential for metal, as well as some metal mixed in with the rest.
