jazzy boy- if joe confused the darkness with Zepp, I think I'd have to slap him! BTW stuclone mentioned it earlier, the JS1200 has a newly designed PAF JOE neck pickup, gives it an extra fat sound.

Deathcube: the darkness is cool man I dont care what anyone says.

most listened to joe album: crystal planet EOC, and Strange beautiful music ( on Super Audio CD )

Crytal Fox, since it's possible, but incredibly unlikely anyone from Joe or his crew will answer I'll venture you one. In my extensive searching, I've only found music videos for a few songs such as Summer Song, the Extremist, Always With Me Always with You, Big Bad Moon, I Believe. This stuff's on the Satch Tapes as you may know. But I'm pretty certain that there most of his songs have not had music videos. None others have been put out. After all, he has a lot of songs, it really wouldn't be worth it. It's all about the music, music videos are cool and give extra visual flare to a song, but I'd rather Joe write more songs and produce less music videos and I'm quite sure this is how he feels too. Bands that are image-centered, however, must make music videos. This makes up for the lack of true artistry and substance in the music maybe.

The white stripes and The Darkness.......one is white and the other is dark, but their music is seriously the opposite of what their band names are.

Jackass White and Meg White: Are they bro and sis or hubby and wife? So damn confusing. Its what the media has done to my sanity. Well, I shouldnt give a shit about their personal lives but now I'm tempted. Assholes!

Joe: If there was one song you wish you never would have recorded....which one would it be? . come on, answer this one!

I think I Ibanez should come out with a JS guitar named Gold boy. I think Prince already used up that idea.

btw, The dude who built Prince guitar (that really ugly one) fixed my emgs on my ibanez. I hate that guy. He ripped me off.

cinnamongirl34f- I admire your enthusiasm. Not that this is of particular significance, but the unfortunate truth is that Joe Satriani has relatively few female fans. (Most of his fans play the electric guitar and this is largely done my males.)

Allentown, PA is beautiful, but isn't a major city, not enough that he would tour there. Seeing him live is great but you may have to travel a bit. I saw him once and the show had bad sound quality from excessive volume (technitions' fault I suppose). But hopefully when you finally get to see Joe Satriani you won't experience this. He is a great live performer, plays passionately, expressively, yet not prone to ridiculous showman stunts like so many others. Anyway rock on!

I am a serious concert musician in New Zealand and I want to organise a Joe Satriani tour here. Will this be possible? I will appreciate a line in reply: if your response is positive I will be able to discuss details. Thank you.

Jazzy Boy, the White Stripes suck nearly beyond all compare, yes they have a uniquness in that sense, in their extremely attrocious, shallow songs. Few two person acts can deliver sonic depth to create great, complete sounding music, let alone these two. Whether they're siblings, friends, or whatever isn't of consequence. Hopefully it won't be long before pop culture tires of them. If, u ever want to see deplorable bands such as the White Stripes turn on the Carson Daily Show. Once had gorgeous blonde triplets playing violin and singing. Other than that, all I've seen are abysmally lame. One thing about such bands, they help you to realize just how much Joe rules!

the stern/wooten/weckl/tenor-player (i forgot his name, lol) was fuckin AWESOME!!!

the mix was great, the song variety was perfect, and they were so on!

mike stern's jazz playing isn't my favorite, but he really had me pulled in close on some of those numbers.
vic was sooooo hot tonight! geez! normally his playing kinda annoys me, but he did a great job of chilling when the song needed chill, and holding back even THEN! when he did let loose (right before the last song before the encore, cool funk chart), it was all stuff that had a sound basis in good musical ideas, i thought.

you're in for a treat man.

Yes Guitarnut, I understand your frustration with the white stripes. They suck. And so does the Darkness. That lead singer needs to stop singing from his ass with a whistle stuck to it.

Joe is beyond compare. I guess he's got his place and his place isnt monstrous. But it's is secure. And will keep an eye to that :-)

As for Boybands....they dont break up, they dont fight, they dont take a break. They just dissolve. Dissolve into air. No more media attention. Sad. The Darkness better watch out. I guess they will fade into darkness.

howdy folks! question for all. does anyone here work in an emergency room? if so, could it possibly be explained to me the theory behind the "stretchers come before people" mentality? yesterday morning i had another episode and miranda found me unconscious on the floor. instead of calling an ambulance she, all 115 lbs of her dragged me, all 200 lbs of me to the car and took me to the emergency room. a security guard picked me up and put me in a wheelchair and in we went. and then waited. and waited. and waited some more. after five hours still nothing. she went to complain and the check in nurse said that "stretchers come before people" as in the people from the ambulances. now i'm sure a lot of these people were in more urgent need of immediate care than i was, but not all of them. of course i have no way of knowing this because the entire time i'm still unconscious. never once awoke to see what was going on. perhaps they assumed i was high or something. anyway, miranda finally flipped out enough to get the same security guard to take me to her car and she took me to another hospital where upon seeing my condition, still out like a light, and hearing the circumstances, had me in a bed within 2 minutes and hooked up to a variety of devices within 5. strange day indeed.

by the way, apologies for not using caps, right hand completely folded now, all legato on the keyboard. right hand useless as tits on a boar. did a lot of skimming, well, not a lot, check last few hours stuff. will catch up at a later date.

alexandre: best wishes to your father. hope all turns out well. mental attitude can make all the difference in the world. make sure to keep his mood light and relatively happy if possible. warm regards to you my friend.

let's see, playlists? the only stuff i listen to on my computer is everyone's stuff around here and recently that's been mostly death cube K, plum loco, master yoda and clarky. cds in the changer at the moment are louis armstrong and duke ellington- the great summit, frank zappa- have i offended someone, rush- caress of steel, leo kottke- 6 and 12 string guitar, megadeth- hidden treasures. most played joe album- time machine disc 1. least- time machine disc 2 (don't know, just works out that way)

The Darkness aren't actually that bad at all. In fact, if you're a UK resident you may well have found them relieving, given all the other shite that's destroying the national music scene...

yes, megaboyd, I dont have their disc yet but i like their high-pitched sound- A guilty pleasure to be sure! oh well.

Jazzy boy- At least the Darkness is willing to solo, which is more than most pop rock bands out there are willing to do. Don't get me wrong, they're not great. I just like 'em. they're just a good 'ol rock band.

Trutina - Sorry to hear about your "adventure". Hospitals are pretty useless. Once i was in to get an X-ray and waited for like 1-2 hours. The only problem was that the whole place was completely dead. Then found out that i have a permanently dislocated arm. :-) Hope you get better, if possible. Sorry i'm not too sure what your problem is, no need to answer. Hope you feel and get better ;-)

Jazzy Boy - Seems like you've got a good taste in music. Arch Enemy are indeed good. Check out Lamb Of God's "New American Gospel" it is awesome. Also listen to some Chimaira, they're pretty good too. Is Opeth any good, i see that they have plenty of albums and are recommended all over the place but i haven't heard anything.

Now that i think about it, magazines talk a lot of crap some times. Sorry, i just have a grunge against bands that are trying to mix pop and rock together, like THE DARKNESS, bunch of gay twats.

Another question for the experts - I been looking at some of Satch's music. Now he uses pinch harmornics all over the place. HOW? I trying to get it but i can't make the damn thing sqweel. HOW? HELP!!!
